She pointed out that everything she earned and all that I earned belonged got my dad. This was in the mid fifties. And the only reason for me to go to college was to get a good husband and that she could not buy or sell real property without permission from my dad. By law! I could not go to law school either at that time. Or any grad school like Harvard law even if qualified.
