  • Have you ever had Ethiopian cuisine before? A landlocked country in eastern Africa, it is one of the countries in Africa most well-known for its delicious cuisine. While Oli has had African cuisine before, such as South African food, Tunisian Food and Moroccan food, she has yet to experience the flavours from Ethiopia. Join Oli as she tries out Ethiopian food for the first time. Will Oli think that Ethiopian food is similar to other cultural foods she's tried in the past, such as Indian food? How does Ethiopian food stand out from other world cuisines?

It isn’t actually oil. It is mostly refined spiced butter which makes it taster and is healthy.

I am an Ethiopian and I love my culture traditions and food.
    Ethiopian food is my favorite.
In USA the ingredients are not good, the meat vegetables so I am not eating Ethiopian food, but Canadian bread and Australian lamb.
Cannot eat Enjera as the flour here is adulterated and is unhealthy.
Enjoy life. I love Canada only the weather is keeps me away.
    Thank you.

Americans do eat with their hands a lot, though they are not very aware of it. They use hands when eating bagels, tacos, burritos, sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdog, pizza, french fries, etc. And for fine dining, they use their hands most of the time when eating lobster or crab. And yes, eating with your hands make sense, but with clean hands of course!

Try to find GONFO (with Honey) and Kategna with spiced tea for snacks or breakfast. The restaurants can make the K but Gonfo may be harder... (Winter i.e. Monsoon foods)

Hmm when I say "spicy" I don't necessarily mean "hot" but the fact that a lot of seasoning went into the dish.

Ethiopian food is the best. Why hateing so. Any person that has tested Ethiopian food was surprised abt how delicous and healthy it is. If you can afford it, it's something you get adapted to eat. It's like a drug.
