  • This four-part tutorial will teach you tips and tricks on using Omniverse Physics. This series takes you through rigging and simulation of a simple desk lamp from preparing your source art for simulation, then setting up basics physics and colliders, and finally setting up the joints.
    In part 1 reviews basic tips and tricks on leveraging layers, setting up your geometry parenting and naming, and covering some important physics guidelines.

    Fantastic tutorial. I appreciate that you slowed down when pointing out menu items and wiggled your mouse to show what it is you are clicking on. On so many other NVIDIA tutorials, we've had to slow down the video and keep replaying it in order to see what was clicked. It would be interesting to get a more in-depth explanation as to why the loops need to be removed and best practices for breaking them. Would love to see more videos on rigging like this -- examples of different mechanisms so we can get practice and exposed to more scenarios. Keep it up!

    Um, can't download the starting USD and when I managed to download the finishing one: The lamp doesn't appear in project?
