Wow. It’s such a cool livery on air Belgium 🇧🇪. I wish there was a way that air Belgium can order more aircraft, like the A350, 777X and the 787 . I hope air Belgium has a hopeful future.
I'm from the Caribbean, Martinique and I love to see Air Belgium coming in and out of my island. When they started operating the flight, they had abd absolutely beautiful special livery on their A340, it was written MARTINIQUE on one side, GUADELOUPE on the other. Hope to see them in the sky for many many years
Saw a few times a Boeing 747-8F operating also under Air Belgium in FlightRadar24, but that one had like half Air Belgium livery and half of a Chinese cargo company livery I think if I remember correctly
Great video, I've always been fascinated by air Belgium and have never quite understood their Business model, Although, in my opinion, i do think they have one of the best liveries at the moment.
this is a good idea as I am also interested in other airlines like Brussels, high fly, Condor, allegian, and all of these other least known aircraft also such as sunglass. it's a good idea to cover these and very interesting.
The market out of Brussels is very very tough especially with the high speed trains now linking the city with CDG and AMS airports in very little time any airline out of the city will struggle
Saw an Air Belgiom A340 a few times in Warsaw when LOT was forced to wet lease it due to being short on Long-Haul planes between it's Dreamliner delays and hull loss of one of its 767s during LO16 incident.
They recently began flights to both CPT and JNB for the first time ever. Didn't know there was much of a market from Brussels with both cities being served either daily or double daily by KLM with flights to nearby Amsterdam Schiphol.
This aged like milk 😅 Air Belgium now stopping all there passenger flights and asking official protection against creditors, 50/50 chance it will only operate cargo or just collapse completely
Flew Air Belgium A340 to Toronto on business when BA were wet leasing operations to cover the 787 Trent engine issues. Great chance to fly the A340 - 300 which was a great plane and an upgrade to business to boot. BA 777 economy return wasn’t so great.
Well, Air Belgium seized operation beginning of Oct. 2023. Nevertheless, today 17.10.23 I just flew on Air Belgium from ORD to LHR. A British Airways flight in all but the colour scheme on the plane. But I had nothing to complain. New and comfy aircraft, decent economy service with unlimited drinks and ice cream.
Royal air maroc as from June 2023 will be leasing a a330-200 for its European routes to casablanca...Brussels is one of them..not quite sure the idea behind that as their dreamliners were doing this last year
Well I think the airline should turn into ACMI business as the Portuguese airlines Euroatlantic, HiFly, Spanish Wamos. This business seems to work quite well for them. France never decided to have such an airline like this so they could be successful as major carriers will have part of their fleet to go on C check, and need to maintain a certain capacity of seats. So this model plus a cargo could be a good deal…
As a Belgian I can most definitely say Air Belgium will not last. Holiday destinations (for families with kids) are mostly run by Jetair (TUIfly) and the rest of the flying public usually takes Brussels Airlines if they'd have to take a Belgian airline.
I do fly every year to JNB (several times) and, since this is such a long flight, I always try to fly business class. I was only too pleased to see Air Belgium has a direct flight from Brussels to JNB, till I saw their price for business class. Thanks but no thanks, I will not fly business with Air Belgium. There are companies that offer better deals!
Their business model seemed doomed from the start. Brussels is kind of a weird market in general, most people would rather just connect through Paris, London, Amsterdam, or Frankfurt, where they have more options than fly direct from or to Brussels.
This airline according to my view has no future. They need to work very hard by connecting to various destinations across the continents. This can b done if they are serious in making their airline to best of their ability.
This is an Airline that is not popular and its struggling i cant see it last much longer it will collapse totally they need a better strategy and partnerships for it to survive.

Yeah, I see them a lot in Zaventem
Yep. AB is flying the '47 for Hongyuan. It's a cool frankenstein paintjob, kinda sad it wasn't mentioned in this video.

There are other routes that is better to fly. Like Berlin, Rome, Madrid. And there are many long haul routes.
You have to give them props for adapting and succeeding in a time where many airlines struggle, not the least the new entrants.
I like the livery great video 👍
“Up in the air”. You kill me. You kill me.

I saw a Air Belgium a340-300 at Heathrow in 2019
Please make a video on Cathay's rivals Hongkong Airlines and GBA
You did prononciate names correctly ;)
Interesting I didn't know this much about Air Belgium but now I'm an expert lol
Love this livery
Its not in financial trouble.they are looking To buy short haul/ medium haul Aircraft For Ostend/Bruges airport To operate around Europe…

They should rebramd to something like Air Wallonia or something

Can you do a video on Eastern Airlines who went under but now are a cargo airline?
Yep I see them flying from Johannesburg to Cape Town and back. I think it’s 3 times a week

Well, whatever their problems at least they have one of the better aircraft livery.
One flies to guadeloupe now n then
That simply need to be a full service carrier and go from there.
Bring back Sebina !!
Sebina😀😀🥶

A small country tiny airline and they operate out of 3 airports. AB flys AB instead of the better Boeing because they got planes nobody wanted 🤔

I CANT SAID GOOD LOOK IS GOOD BAY

Charleroi is pronounced "charlerwa" in french...
