I always prefer it when simmers reno base game builds that the original shape stays the same or very similar so thank you for doing that! Feels more realistic to me...

Same! I like it! And Deli has done an amazing work with the Laangrab mansion. She sould try and do more renovation of the original builds from the game!
I think it all depends on the build. I also appreciate builders showing that at the same budget and maybe even similar item count, the Sims could have made a house that makes way more sense and fits better in the neighborhood, even if it means a complete bulldoze and redo. But it is satisfying to still recognize the original space, and just make it better.
Everytime Battu is mentioned I expect James to yell from across the house “Oh Battu!”

I always wondered why they bothered with that top room. But I like to imagine because Johnny Zest used to live there the Landgraabs didn't know what to do with it when he left.

im sure the original builder wouldnt mind, we did get a LOT of updates since then and a lot more is possible. when i played sims 4 for the first time i thought the landgraab house was the coolest thing ever LMAO
@@wig84 I think the color of the original exterior is the problem for me, it reminds me of a once-nice-but-now-seedy motel. But the curved floor pattern on the outside upper levels seems so clever to me, and it reflects the curves in the gate they chose perfectly. I think it was pretty good for a base game build.

Love the lanscape of this build, the idea of using rounded platforms is *chef kiss* :D
Love Nancy's private underground surgery. The massage room being so close to the master bed makes sense because she'll need to massage to recover
As for the Landgraab's wealth, I always assumed that they got the bulk of their money from a family-owned power company that I think is references when you pay your bills in the Sims.
Also, I love this reno! I wouldn't ever want to live in a mansion, but I like the aesthetics you used in this reno. :)
I think you’re right. They’ve got serious family money. Sims 2 had some Landgraab lore too, something about being founders of Pleasantview or one of the other towns. Can’t quite remember anymore. I always thought it was funny that they’re only moderately good at their jobs, but seem to be so stuck up. In reality they just inherited their wealth.

I like both speed build and real time build videos, so for me a variety would be nice. I always learn something watching you build ❤😸
I’ve always preferred real time builds because they’ve always been easier to follow and as a viewer I usually pick up on more stuff that i then like to include in my own builds. I do like to watch speed builds for a change sometimes. Anyway this is my favourite reovation of the Landgrabb house I’ve seen. I used to play in this house when I first started playing the sims a few years ago with just base game but now I have more packs i would definitely renovate it or find a renovation someone has done if I wanted to play in it. Love the build!
I was so excited to see you renovate a mansion, I love your mansion builds. This is too beautiful for Nancy, I'd like to think this is Geoffrey's interior design style, down to earth. If you forgot, then he wasn't important~ I'll change Malcom's name to Archibald.
I would love for you to do a “must have core pieces” video. Just highlighting what you most use in your typical builds. I’m honestly on the fence about getting Eco Lifestyle - but I know you and James use a lot of their items.

I never not love watching deli's videos, they are the best it inspires me to build, straight away afterwards on the sims. I'd love to challenge Deli to an Irish build, seeing as I am Irish it would be interesting to see the architecture, colours of the build etc. Anyway Deli thank you for making my day with these videos you are an angel. When I use the bed in the parents room I push the bed a little bit in to the marble tabel. Like the pillows is resting on the marble table and that's the headboard, not the one in wood/fabric. Just a little tip 😊 great build, love the secret underground!
That's a good idea, do you know which pack the marble table comes in?

I wish more builders would take into account game-lag when they build. There are some fabulous builds out there but are so laggy !!! Your builds look fantastic and don't lag !! Also, it's easier to incorporate minimal builds into one's specific gameplay, each player can add the house and personalise it depending on the story line they are playing.
Something I’ve been a fan of doing lately when I have a new save (and can stand it) is going around base game homes and making them more minimal. Getting rid of useless clutter that doesn’t fit with the characters in that house (like…why is there a backpack in Travis Scott’s bedroom?), deleting extra mirrors, having fewer wallpapers as I now know that can cause lag; stuff like that.
It’s kinda fun, although I will occasionally get so obsessive about it that the sim I intended on playing with in that save never actually gets to live because I’m just renovating other homes. 😂

I really, really love this build/renovation! It's beautiful! You have also inspired me to start researching more before I build. True fact.....termite mounds ( the ones that are about 2m plus tall) use the 'chimney' method to ensure the interior is well ventilated & temperature controlled! They also angle all their builds specifically so they don't get too much afternoon sun & bake the inhabitants! I know....I'm a bit of a discovery channel nut.....but, hey....!

This was an incredible renovation, from concept to execution! Your taste is on point. Love that you referenced desert architecture and gave the original house’s footprint a much better flow and definition of space with the new layout. The composition of the modern jetties and jutouts is so good. Keeping true to the original size and shape is a cool, realistic challenge in redesigning am EA build!
I feel so inspired by the structure of the house, with the boxes out front, the circles around the trees are also such a good idea. I think I’ve had that terrain jump glitch even with diagonal foundations, not sure how to fix it

This is an aesthetic I try to build from references, and it comes out good when I use a visual reference, but my brain isn't creative enough to come up with this stuff on my own. You did a beautiful job with this iconic home! It still feels like the Landgraabs house.

I really enjoyed watching this and I got excited when you said it was a base game build you were renovating. Although the finished build was not base game and had lots of packs in. So when you don’t have the packs you get items missing. Although it does look good in game.

I love speed builds and real time builds! I will say real time is more interesting to get your thought process, whereas the speed builds quality of the build is incredible! I think the mix of both is nice :)
A part of me feels like Johnny's room was where the master bathroom is and the original master bathroom was smaller but soon as they kicked Johnny out Nancy was like gOOD RIDDANCE and knocked down Johnny's bedroom to expand the master bathroom, it was how she lashed out at the situation
I haven’t been a game for a month or so but I don’t remember a Johnny. Did he live with them in the bas game or is he somewhere else in the game?
