Awesome video man. I find it enjoyable when u take the dozer to them trees. Not sure how I missed this one haha. Happy New Year. May you push over a ton more trees n burn em all hehe
Nice job. You need side screens so you don't get branches across the lips. Your 6 is exactly the same as our neighbours. We still just run a old 7e . You can hear the old girl chugging away for miles when we are pushing. Thank you for the video update eh.
Thanks Brent! Yeah, I try no to do much clearing with the 6 so I’ve never really worried about it. She’s a pretty good ole girl and hopefully will last for a while. Hey, those old 7’’s were horses!
Where is the steep slope? Come out to the mountains of British Columbia Canada and do some dozing. It will change your perspective of "steep slope". Nice machine, BTW. Looks like you take good care of it and don't bang on it hard. Should last you a lifetime. Cats like a good operator.
I hear ya.....I lived in Alaska for a while. But, I consider it a steep slope when the machine wont hold and starts sliding down. Yeah, she's in really good shape and I don't abuse her. I hope she lasts a while. Thanks for the comment!
my first view of your channel. I like the video, different views and the recap at the end. wonder what you are listening to in the headset? looks like an old one I used to have with am/fm radio.
Thanks Michael! I normally listen to 80’s stuff when I can. Kinda my thing...lol! The head set is your typical 3M FM radio. Nothing fancy! I do have a newer 3M Bluetooth set as well.
This brings back childhood memories. My dad a 6h and later an r. Just curious why you walk dozer in 2nd gear instead of 1st on longer passes. Isnt it harder on undercarriage and less money per hr on jobs.
Yeah it's a good machine. The H's are totally mechanical which is more reliable, but they won't quite work with an R. I've got the reputation for being pretty fast and known for getting in and out on a job. I've gotten a lot of jobs based on that reputation. Some operators in our area will show up to a job and take their ever loving time and make the customer mad. So, my philosophy is get in, get out and you'll be the one they call next time. As far as second gear goes, it's not any harder on under carriage but you have to be careful and not strain the transmission too much. I'm very cognizant of how hard I work the transmission and if it bogs too much, i'll drop in to first.
That dozer may not be as comfortable/easy to operate as a modern machine *BUT* I'll lay money that it will stand the test of time better and will still be pushing dirt many many years from now.........
😂😂😂😂, they say talk is cheap. But if thats what you consider steep slope. Dont ever come to upstate PA and put private roads in. I got off a D6 Tuesday morning and the seat damn near came with my ass.
lol, the camera never does the slopes justice. But I’ve been on a lot steeper slopes than this. The problem we have here is the limestone shelves. When you try to cut roads in on the sides of these hills and hit limestone you come to a screeching halt. Then it’s like trying to walk on ice with steel tracks on the slick limestone. I’ve slid down the entire side of a draw before doing that. Thanks buddy!
Nice start on that road. Lot of rock in the ground. Thanks for the ride along.
Thanks terry!
Another great video. Thanks again.
Thank you!
Keep up the good work. Each video seems to be getting better.
Thanks!

You sure make a mess clearing trees, never seen a brush pile that clustered up
Lol! That pile is nice and tight! It burnt up very well!
This was one of my favorite ponds you built. I would love to see how it looks now, if it is not to far away. Have a great weekend.
Thanks....I talked to the owner a couple days ago. We've not received enough rain to fill it yet.
Good video. New subscriber!
Thanks and welcome!!

That should be directed to the field and work
Bukan dalam ruangan kendaraan

Id say your right! Those ole girls will last forever if you take care of them.
Good looking job with the 6! I’ve seen ur hats and shirts say L&J Exc. so are u L or J? Lol
Id be the L. Momma said when I started the business 15 years ago she had to be in the name somewhere...lol!
How have you avoided poking your eyes out?
I wear glasses all the time. But, I have been smacked across the face with limbs hard enough to split my skin and draw blood!

I think caterpillar makes the worst drive systems for there bulldozers
I guess there's good and bad with them all. I've never had any issues with my Cats though!
