Awesome ranking man. I really like the extra touch of the ranking screen and the Friday sound clips. Whenever I get around to reviewing these and do a ranking it's gonna be interesting to compare notes. One of us a longtime fan and the other watching most of the series for the first time in 2017. lol
Haha yeah that will be interesting. I started doing this style of ranking with my Halloween series video...and it makes it more interesting for me. I like getting a little creative with the editing on these...even if it takes a while, which this one did.

Apparently they are rebooting the Friday franchise starting from 2020 40 years after the original. I'm not sure how true it is but it looks solid to me!!

I love your ranking video on my favorite film franchise. For all of my Friday the 13th content I have never ranked all of the films from weakest to greatest. You just inspired me to do so
1. Final Chapter (Everything about it). 2. Jason Lives (CJ Graham was the shit, the James Bond style intro was awesome, the kills were great, and the sheriff cracked me up, even his death. Thom Matthews was a badass Tommy Jarvis). 3. Jason goes to Hell (Hail Satan) 4. Freddy vs. Jason (I'm glad it's an official sequel to Freddy's Dead and Jason Goes to Hell and this final script is definitely good. I definitely agree with you. I like how it shows them in Hell in the beginning before the title. Plus the soundtrack is awesome). 5. Part 1 (Classic, but didn't grab my attention like the Jason movies I DO really like). 6. A New Begining (only because Roy Burns is pretty badass and I enjoy most of the kills). 7. Part 2 (Best final girl, I definitely agree with you, but the film is a copy of part 1 imo). 8. 2009 remake (Derek Mears rocked \m/ and the intro kills were the shit and I like some of the other kills later in the movie). 9. Part 3 (the pole for the clothes line in the beginning, the baseball bat, and the yo-yo were the only unnecessary 3D effects, the characters were forgettable, and that dream sequence about Jason was a pointless section.) 10. New Blood (it's okay, but Tina was a good match, so that works for me). 11. Jason takes Manhattan (makes no sense, false advertising, and I hate slimy Jason plus the toxic waste bullshit). 12. Jason X (Fuck it. Not my Jason movie).

Huge fan of the Friday the 13th franchise but out of them all my least favourites are Jason goes to manhattan and a new beginning both are ridiculous and not scary ! My favourites have to be Jason lives and Friday the 13th the final chapter both are awesome ! Really like part 2 as well been on a Friday the 13th binge recently 💀

I think it's hilarious how Jason ended up in Manhattan from Crystal lake haha. Its crazy how many films there are, I just watched the reboot the other day. I agree with the majority of your ranking. When it comes to 80's horror, Friday The 13th 1-7 are absolute gold to me because they are just so much fun to watch. I watched 1-7 a lot growing up and just have a lot of great memories attached to them. I still watch them on a regular basis. And Final Chapter is the best for me as well. It's a perfect 80's slasher flick. I too am a huge fan of Ted White's Jason. His mannerisms are just very menacing.

Haven't watched this franchise in years. I just bought all of them here recently and can't wait to watch them again. I will say, I did grow up with part 3,4,5, and 8 I have seen the others but it's been years... I'll leave my ranking as soon as I can.
Awesome review. Always enjoy watching these movies. Because I live in a rural are where there is a camp ground similar to crystal lake.... plan on hopefully having a marathon this upcoming Friday the 13th in a few weeks

Jared Padalecki was great and so were the 2 main girls. Thanks for the ratings videos. That's pretty cool.
Part 2 and Part 4 are the best for me and they are constantly battling for the number one spot! When I meet Tom Savini and Ted White Tom showed me a behind the scenes video of him putting the makeup on Ted White and it was awesome to see!

My favorite Friday The 13th films are Part 2, Final Chapter, Jason Lives, New Blood, and Jason Goes To Hell, and i don't mind the remake, but i don't really have any ranking list of my favorite Friday The 13th films, because it would keep changing. But like you, if i would really have to pick my favorite, it would probably be Final Chapter. Best direction of all Friday The 13th films, and even cut down, death and gore scenes are amazing and brutal as fuck. If you can, try and find fan made uncut version of the film. Almost all of the death scenes are extended and it also includes alternate ending.
Honestly, i never had any problems with JGTH, i actually really like the film, specially the uncut version, but i can see why lot of fans don't like it. Like some other fans have said, JGTH is almost like a good sequel to The Hidden. Also, did you heard about that fan petition for director's cut of the film?
my favorites are 1 through 4 and 6 (yes the original is my absolute favorite). Then 7,5,8 as being the weaker ones, but still packed full of fun moments. Then I don't know how to rank the New Line ones so VS, X, JGTH in any order after that and 2009 last. I found 2009 hard to get into because it was a Michael Bay cash grab and the teenagers dialogue were really annoying but Derek was cool.

People either have it ranked in the top 5 or bottom 5. I wasn't a fan of the first half of the movie, but it gets better when Jason starts getting down to brass tax. I ranked it 7-8th overall

Good list, one correction though, Jason Goes to Hell was the first New Line Cinema film in the series. That's why it's not titled "Friday the 13th" or included in the current "Ultimate Collection" of the first 8 Paramount owned films.
I'm very late with this, but this is my list... I love that you like #2 so much. It is one of my favourites and is what got me hooked on this series. I LOVE THESE ONES!!! 1. The Final Chapter - I love everything about this - Perfect and brutal yet fun 2. Freddy vs. Jason - Fantastic mix of action and comedy. The victims are great too. 3. FT13 Part 2 - The one that got me hooked - Great kills, great suspense, great final girl 4. FT13 Remake - I don't understand the hate for this movie (in general, not directed at you personally. You stated your reasons clearly). Jason is insanely awesome in this - Beginning Scene is pure perfection 5. FT13 Part 6 - Just fun. Understands what is was and executed it brilliantly. I LIKE THESE ONES!!! 6. FT13 Original - Not my favourite but a fantastic movie 7. FT13 Part 3 - The ending is amazing, but too little going on before then. Slow as hell. 8. Very late but its nice to see JASON TAKES MANHATTEN getting some respect. My list is 12 JASON GOES TO HELL 11 PART V(i don't hate it at all though but it is still a low point) 10 JASON X( i had the most fun but lets be real it sucks) 9 FREDDY VS JASON (3rd act was amazing but Lori is a passable final girl and very 200s charecters but its enjoyable) 8 THE NEW BLOOD (Best visual effects of the series and debut of Kane Hodder as Jason) 7 FRIDAY THE 13TH (2009)(definitely one of the better reboots of the 2000s remake craze and Mears plays a very different and entertaining Jason. Weakest final girl though) 6 JASON TAKES MANHATTEN (I really enjoyed this movie and i fimd it Underrated. Apart from budget cuts there where soem sequences like the hallucinations which don't chronologically don't make sense and the muddled ending. Tried something new and it didn't critically succeed but i like this one and if they marketed it like it was it would be appreciated.) 5 FRIDAY THE 13TH 1980(classic original and has the single best kill in the series with K. Bacon) 4 F13 PART 3D(in 3D but part 3D sounds better. I enjoyed the movie even though it is definitely the most basic one. 3rd act was along with 2 the best in the series & Brooker is my NO 2 Jason behind Hodder) 3 FRIDAY THE 13TH part II(Best 3rd act in the series and Ginny is a very courageous final girl and is probably one of my fav final girls in horror. Shortest in the series but very sweet. Def the creepiest and Jason really had me on edge in the final girl circuit.) 2 JASON LIVES:F13 PART 6(I LOVE this movie it has suspense, dark humour, very bloody and its direction and self awareness make it the most unique of the series. 6&8 are the best zombie Jason flicks. C. J is a great Jason and has a badass ending and it introduces the FRIDAYS to Alice fricken Cooer which is just everything.) 1 FINAL CHAPTER:F13 PART 4

I just discovered your channel today and I am enjoying your videos. I am a fan of the Dead Meat channel and yours popped up in my recommendations. Awesome ranking man. I really like the extra touch of the ranking screen and the Friday sound clips. Whenever I get around to reviewing these and do a ranking it's gonna be interesting to compare notes. One of us a longtime fan and the other watching most of the series for the first time in 2017. lol
Haha yeah that will be interesting. I started doing this style of ranking with my Halloween series video...and it makes it more interesting for me. I like getting a little creative with the editing on these...even if it takes a while, which this one did.

2. Jason Lives (CJ Graham was the shit, the James Bond style intro was awesome, the kills were great, and the sheriff cracked me up, even his death. Thom Matthews was a badass Tommy Jarvis).
3. Jason goes to Hell (Hail Satan)
4. Freddy vs. Jason (I'm glad it's an official sequel to Freddy's Dead and Jason Goes to Hell and this final script is definitely good. I definitely agree with you. I like how it shows them in Hell in the beginning before the title. Plus the soundtrack is awesome).
5. Part 1 (Classic, but didn't grab my attention like the Jason movies I DO really like).
6. A New Begining (only because Roy Burns is pretty badass and I enjoy most of the kills).
7. Part 2 (Best final girl, I definitely agree with you, but the film is a copy of part 1 imo).
8. 2009 remake (Derek Mears rocked \m/ and the intro kills were the shit and I like some of the other kills later in the movie).
9. Part 3 (the pole for the clothes line in the beginning, the baseball bat, and the yo-yo were the only unnecessary 3D effects, the characters were forgettable, and that dream sequence about Jason was a pointless section.)
10. New Blood (it's okay, but Tina was a good match, so that works for me).
11. Jason takes Manhattan (makes no sense, false advertising, and I hate slimy Jason plus the toxic waste bullshit).
12. Jason X (Fuck it. Not my Jason movie).
My favorite Friday the 13th is part 3 4 2 & the first one. The rest are subjective. That's how I feel. I love your rankings.
I know I’m way late to the party but your channel is awesome and I’ve subscribed! Huge fan of the Friday the 13th franchise but out of them all my least favourites are Jason goes to manhattan and a new beginning both are ridiculous and not scary ! My favourites have to be Jason lives and Friday the 13th the final chapter both are awesome ! Really like part 2 as well been on a Friday the 13th binge recently 💀

Jason X is sooooo bad...Jason looks horrible and the acting is very bad lol....the only reason the original isn't super High on my list and it's really the only reason is it's just very dated it hasn't aged well like some of the others have but still great though...The new blood is the first Jason I ever watched so it has a special place in my heart and Jason looks cool as hell and the final girl is a bad ass lol. Sack head Jason is just cool and Jason lives is just a damn near perfect horror movie....thanx for the shout out Lee.

I agree with the majority of your ranking. When it comes to 80's horror, Friday The 13th 1-7 are absolute gold to me because they are just so much fun to watch. I watched 1-7 a lot growing up and just have a lot of great memories attached to them. I still watch them on a regular basis. And Final Chapter is the best for me as well. It's a perfect 80's slasher flick. I too am a huge fan of Ted White's Jason. His mannerisms are just very menacing.

Haven't watched this franchise in years. I just bought all of them here recently and can't wait to watch them again. I will say, I did grow up with part 3,4,5, and 8 I have seen the others but it's been years... I'll leave my ranking as soon as I can.

The real Friday the 13th saga, to me, are just the first four films. Those are classic. The Final Chapter should have been the last one.
Part 2 and Part 4 are the best for me and they are constantly battling for the number one spot! When I meet Tom Savini and Ted White Tom showed me a behind the scenes video of him putting the makeup on Ted White and it was awesome to see!

Great job with the video! My favorite Friday The 13th films are Part 2, Final Chapter, Jason Lives, New Blood, and Jason Goes To Hell, and i don't mind the remake, but i don't really have any ranking list of my favorite Friday The 13th films, because it would keep changing.
But like you, if i would really have to pick my favorite, it would probably be Final Chapter. Best direction of all Friday The 13th films, and even cut down, death and gore scenes are amazing and brutal as fuck. If you can, try and find fan made uncut version of the film. Almost all of the death scenes are extended and it also includes alternate ending.
Nice to see some love for Jason Goes to Hell. I remember seeing that in the theater opening and the audience was like "wtf is this?" :p
Honestly, i never had any problems with JGTH, i actually really like the film, specially the uncut version, but i can see why lot of fans don't like it. Like some other fans have said, JGTH is almost like a good sequel to The Hidden. Also, did you heard about that fan petition for director's cut of the film?
my favorites are 1 through 4 and 6 (yes the original is my absolute favorite). Then 7,5,8 as being the weaker ones, but still packed full of fun moments. Then I don't know how to rank the New Line ones so VS, X, JGTH in any order after that and 2009 last. I found 2009 hard to get into because it was a Michael Bay cash grab and the teenagers dialogue were really annoying but Derek was cool.

Yeah man..crazy. We actually discussed this for a bit on the last Scream Stream, but it looks like future Jason movies might not have the Friday name, which sucks. What's interesting is the possibility of a Friday movie without Jason.

4. FT13 Remake - I don't understand the hate for this movie (in general, not directed at you personally. You stated your reasons clearly). Jason is insanely awesome in this - Beginning Scene is pure perfection

Apart from budget cuts there where soem sequences like the hallucinations which don't chronologically don't make sense and the muddled ending. Tried something new and it didn't critically succeed but i like this one and if they marketed it like it was it would be appreciated.)

2 JASON LIVES:F13 PART 6(I LOVE this movie it has suspense, dark humour, very bloody and its direction and self awareness make it the most unique of the series. 6&8 are the best zombie Jason flicks. C. J is a great Jason and has a badass ending and it introduces the FRIDAYS to Alice fricken Cooer which is just everything.)

I really like the Final Chapter because of the older sister protecting younger brother(sibling relationship)from the crazed maniac with a machete and a mask. I also like it because it's Corey Feldman. He is just one of my most favorite child actors ever

To me the F13TH saga goes from the original movie to The Final Chapter. That's the real saga.

I know Never Hike Alone is a fan film, but it better than most of the series. I did really enjoy the first 7 movies on this list. 8 and 9 were ok. 10 to 13 were just terrible.

9: Friday The 13th part 3 (the girl running with the fake cry saying omg omg after she realized Shelly was dead was so fake, annoying, and horrible acting)
8: Freddy VS Jason (I still hate the teenagers dialogue and feel the characters weren't developed)
7: Friday the 13th part 5 (I enjoyed the kills but hated the nudity. I don't mind the who done it but they should've chose a better reveal/killer than Roy the Ambulance driver)
