Hey everybody! Checking in on Friday the 13th from Halloween Horror nights at Universal! I figured it was the PERFECT time to talk about Friday the 13th movies and give you my thoughts and rankings on these iconic films once and for all! So pop that tape in, I got you, let's go do this!
My Good Ranking 12. The Worst Dogshit Original 1980. 💩🤮 11. Jason goes to hell 1993. 10. Jason Lives 1986. 9. Friday the 13th Part 2. 1981. 8. The New Blood 1988. 7. The Final Chapter 1984. 6. Friday the 13th Part 3. 1982. 5. A New Beginning 1985. 4. Jason Takes Manhattan 1989. 3. Jason X 2001. 2. Freddy vs Jason 2003. 1. Best Friday the 13th 2009. Reboot 🥇💯
people hate to hear it but 2009 is by far the best film in this franchise, I know we love this franchise but lets be honest most these movies are trash but at least their cheesy. the remake cuts all that cheesy sh1t out and took it to horror this depiction of Jason is far the best in the series sadly its probably gonna revert back to a slow fat Frankenstein
1. Part 3 (First slasher I watched so i have a lot of love for it) 2. Part 4 3. Part 6 4. Part 2 5. '09 6. Freddy vs Jason 7. The New Blood 8. Friday the 13th (1980) 9. Jason X 10. Part 8 11. Part 5 12. Jason Goes to Hell
Happy Friday The 13th! My ranking goes this way. #12 Jason X #11 Jason goes to Hell #10 Friday the 13th (2009) #09 Jason Takes Manhattan #08 Friday the 13th part VII The New Blood #07 Freddy v.s. Jason #06 Friday the 13th part V A New Beginning #05 Friday the 13th part IV The Final Chapter #04 Friday the 13th VI Jason Lives #03 Friday the 13th (Original) #02 Friday the 13th part 2 #01 Friday the 13th1part 3 3D P.S. I was born in 1973 so I saw all of these the same year they came out.
@@richhansel3068 Awesome. The only ones I didn't catch at the theater are parts 1, 2, and X. I would have loved to see especially 1 and 2 at theater. They are my 2nd and 3rd favorites, after part 3.
Part 3 is my favorite too.Part 3 was the first one I saw in 82 as an 11 year old so there is the nostalgia factor as well. I've watched Part 3 more than any of the others. I love Richard Brooker as Jason and really like the second half of 3. Dana Kimmel as Chris is one of my favorite final girls. I've always loved Part 3 and 4 but 3 is my fav. My 3rd fav is the 2009 remake. I love that one even though it gets the hate
@@MDEAL70 I feel same way about 3. I saw it at the Theater in 3D when I was 7. Then would frequently rent it, along with the other first 4 films. I also got to see Final Chapter at theater. A lot of nostalgia for all 4 of them. But I think they are just great slasher films. The remake is not bad. Better than some of the other later ones in franchise.
That's so interesting your take on The New Blood. That's my favorite Jason movie (although I think the 2nd Jason movie is the scariest), but I've never thought of it as Jason vs Carrie. I think I've always seen it as Jason messing with someone who is gifted. Carrie is such a sad, quiet person and clearly has Complex PTSD, and Tina is simply trying to adjust and seek treatment but she's not sad. Maybe because in The New Blood, Tina has a super sweet mom...and Carrie's mom was a mean, bitter woman. I've simply never thought of it like you, so you have really got me thinking here! I love the scenes in the woods in this one. I'm not sure where they filmed it but it sure looked cold out. Like early December in northern Illinois or something.
yeah I think even the writer described it as Jason vs Carrie....they both are sympathetic figures for sure but Carrie turns at the end lol... They basically admitted they got the idea from Carrie so now that is all I see haha! but I do enjoy it more than most people it seems like
@@AVAPopCulture Interesting. I never knew the writer said this about The New Blood. Carrie, for me, the mom in that movie is one of the most incredible characters in horror movie history. VERY well written. And Carrie putting up with her mom and losing it on her, and then trying to drag her out due to sympathy and the house falling in... that's deep.
All right Chase, you talked me into it. I will give the 09 movie another look. I only watched it once when it came out, and I have no real memories of it. Truthfully kinda forgot it existed until this new Arrow release.
Growing up I was a big nightmare on Elm street and Michael Meyers fan while my cousins were Friday the 13th fans. We used to argue all the time over it and still do lol. I've never been a big Jason fan just thought it wasn't very original and didn't deserve the hype it got imo.
I agree. It's probably not a popular opinion, but Halloween came out in 78 and Friday the 13th came out in 80, and Jason is clearly very inspired by Michael. To say rip off is probably an exaggeration, but in any case VERY strongly inspired by is certainly true to say. And there probably wouldn't be a Jason if there wasn't a Michael first. Even the biggest Friday the 13th fans should be able to admit that, If they are to be completely honest. Of course, you can still like the Friday the 13 movies anyway, but they don't get top marks for originality in my opinion. Please don't send Jason to kill me for saying that 😲😂😂
Great ranking!! Yeah, Friday The 13th is one of my favorite horror franchises! Part 8 is my worst too. I don't know if the people who made that even watched a Friday The 13th film. One of the younger Jason's in the flashback actually looks Asian. Fridays part 2, 3, 4 and 6 are in my top five, with the 2009 version in there also. The 2009 version is very underrated. Jason here is fast, he hunts and makes traps and the hood he wears is actually scarier than the mask. It's a shame they never made a sequel to that movie. Love the channel, keep up the good work!!
1. Jason Lives 2. The New Blood 3. The Final Chapter 4. Friday the 13th(1980) 5. Part 2 6. Jason Takes Manhattan 7. Part 3-D 8. Freddy vs Jason 9. A New Beginning 10. Jason X 11. Jason Goes to Hell 12. Remake
@@AVAPopCulture The franchise is liked because it is campy, along with the Voyeuristic elements and the grindhouse feel. It's an 80's franchise. Nothing after Manhattan has that. I just couldn't care about thr Dawson Creek cast either. Eh.
Respect your list man! I definitely don't get the hate for the 2009 movie either, however it's not my top. Agree about Jason Goes to Hell too, love the practical effects. I do get the hate for this one but I still enjoy it. Great vid man!
I have fond memories of renting Jason takes Manhattan from the video shop as a kid and personally I think the Time square stuff is cool when he eventually gets there so I dig it dude, but definitely agree with you that Jason X has probably aged the worst out of the lot.
@@neildavies9234 I really dig the whole part on the boat. Think it is fun watching the characters get stalked and slaughtered by Jason on that big boat. It is a fun movie. I also think Jason X is pretty entertaining.
Jason Lives is the best for me by far: story, music and CJ Graham's Jason. 2009 is pretty good as well. If they had maintained the tone they set at the beginning it could have easily been the best movie of the franchise!
Lost me as soon as I saw Takes Manhattan last but I can forgive you for that but seeing my favourite the classic and iconic movie, Part 3D down so low and even behind much inferior movies like Jason Goes To Hell and the remake which still hadn’t been mentioned yet was just too much for me to bear and and I respectfully departed from this video right there and then. Cheers
@JCStorm76 lol I enjoy 3d but the 3d elements draw attention to the gimmick when it isn't in 3d and it just keeps reminding you that it was a 3d gimmick
I understand the problems that people have with Jason Goes to Hell, I truly do... but I agree with you. It came along at a time when the series needed a shot of adrenaline and something different. It certainly was that. Once you accept JGtH for being the oddball that it is, it's very watchable and there is plenty of wacky things to enjoy. There are a few of us willing to put ourselves out there and admit this is a fun one!
@mahmudmurad4655 I agree! But I am taking heat for it in the comments lol...the funny thing is that everyone who says they hate it can never explain why lol...they just WANT to hate it for whatever reason...but it is the best one
@@AVAPopCulture They said things like is torture porn, Jason does not take prisoners, Jason doesn't run (which is a lie), Jason doesn't put traps, etc. Every complaint I find stupid because this movie did a brilliant work of updating the lore of the series and Jason, the decisions made were the right ones, they were creative and refreshing. And at the end, I found they put the series back in the right frame and ready for sequels or revisions of the past Fridays.
Yes, that's what I said. The mom's head, and the counselor putting on the mom's sweater and Jason outside the window running to his shack in the woods. The counselor trying to play like she's his mom. 👍
I loved your list ranking these movies. I grew up with all of them. Although I don't agree with the remake being number one, final chapter is my fav but to each their own. Your videos however are always awesome! You, eom reaction and Cody Leach are my favs! Keep up the awesome content!
@cwoellhofable hey thanks so much for that! I'll do my best to keep up a good standard!! Glad you enjoy and connect with my videos even if our opinions aren't always the same!
@@AVAPopCulture oh most of them usually are lol. I love your horror pallet. And everybody has their favorite movies so I respect it. The remake is for sure awesome! Have you ever thought of a calab with Leach?
Hey Chase, awesome rankings! My list tends to change year by year. My top two always swap spots but never leave the top two. If I had to rank them all right now, here’s where they’d land. I know my bottom pick is controversial, but I honestly have not revisited it for fun. 12. Friday the 13th 11. Jason Goes to Hell 10. Friday the 13th Part VIII 09. Jason X 08. Friday the 13th: A New Beginning 07. Friday the 13th Part 2 06. Friday the 13th 3-D 05. Friday the 13th: The New Blood 04. Freddy vs Jason 03. Friday the 13th (Remake) 02. Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter 01. Friday the 13th: Jason Lives All of the lower ranked films have some redeeming qualities, but the one that really gets under my skin is Jason Goes to Hell. I remember being so hyped when I saw it in theaters, and it just crushed me, kind of like Alien 3 did the year before. Sure, the opening sequence is awesome, but I wish they’d stuck with the formula. People go to Halloween movies for Michael, and Nightmare movies for Freddy. Taking Jason out of the equation was a weird choice. Yeah, he’s there, but it’s all about the man in the mask for me, ya know? As for my ranking of the original so low. It’s iconic, sure, but not a great film in my book. The poster is killer, the soundtrack is great, the Bacon kill is legendary and of course the surprise ending is iconic AF. But that’s about it for me! I can look past the film being dark, I dig it. But this one has the most boring set of characters in any of the films, and it’s not even close for me. Happy Friday the 13th!!
I dunno man, i was gonna give you a hard time for some of these...then i took a step back & recognized it's all personal preference & people could give me a hard time for my ranking too. Cheers ti you for finding & knowing what you like
@@AVAPopCulture okay, hot take for ya, just watched the '09 remake....I would argue that Trent was the good guy. He literally did nothing wrong imo. 1) He's a chad, not intimidated by any of the females (unlike the two losers who don't have a problem destroying the personal property of others and would have NEVER found their way into his inner circle in the first place). 2} He's protective of his dad's property and obviously has respect for his old man. 3) His main squeeze deserts him for a drifter so he bangs the hottest chick in the movie, which was his best option, and he enjoys it to the fullest. lol 4) His only mistake was inviting a bunch of degenerates into his parents vacation home (literal compound complete with stone walls and arches, etc. that they managed to build and frequent, despite this madman running loose in the woods that can access the inside of the house at will). So yeah, I'd say he stepped up when it counted and Jason's only move was to attack him from behind. Trent, and Gaston are the good guys!
Me and my mate Alexandre remake of The Hills Have Eyes, that we done in 06 is so Underrated! Its was a horror Masterpiece! but it got really played down at the time in Hollywood because they felt us Europeans where stepping on their toes in the states!
It wasn’t the Jason copycat in New Beginning that messed up the movie. It was a writer/director that didn’t seem to know what he was doing. The script makes no sense (Roy is killing people to avenge Joey’s death, but at least six of his victims weren’t even there when Joey was killed, and the guy who did kill him is in police custody). Roy’s kind of a dummy. Then of course turning a bunch of scenes into soft core porn was really out of place tonally. You could tell the director was a veteran of skin flicks.
My ranking: 1. Friday the 13th Part IV 2. Friday the 13th Part VI 3. Friday the 13th Part II 4. Friday the 13th Part VII 5. Friday the 13th Part III 6. Friday the 13th 7. Friday the 13th 2009 8. Freddy vs. Jason 9. Jason Takes Manhattan 10. Jason X 11. Friday the 13th Part V 12. Jason Goes to Hell
@@AVAPopCulture LOL It's where it should be.... I grew up with the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street movies but I actually didn't like Freddy vs. Jason all that much either. Some of the dialogue was so bad, particularly from Kelly Rowland. I hated Ken Kirzinger as Jason. The kills were so cartoonish. I rewatch the Paramount stuff frequently and rarely rewatch the New Line Friday the 13th stuff. Will we ever get the elusive 13th Friday the 13th movie?
1. FvJ 2. Final Chapter 3. Jason Lives 4. Jason X 5. Part II 6. Remake 7. Part III 8. Part V 9. Original 10. Jason goes to hell 11. Part VII 12. Part VIII
I’m a child of the 80s and Jason was always my favorite slasher as a kid. My birthday is around Halloween so I would get to have a slumber party during the spooky season and I would get to rent a few horror tapes for the party. I would always pick at least one F13 film and inevitably I would try to pick the ones with the best kills and most boobs. My picks are definitely influenced by nostalgia and my high ratings for some of these are due to viewings as a preteen. 😂

F13 is my favorite horror franchise, so I have a tough time ranking them. It usually depends what I'm in the mood for. Much respect for putting 2009 at the top of your list. It is one of the best in the series. I have an unbroken tradition I started when I was 16 where I watch a different F13 movie on every Friday 13. This time is A New Beginning. I'm feeling sleazy. Haha
Been watching the extras on the Final Chapter blu and its clear Joseph Zito was the best director for the franchise. It sucks he didn't make more films! He really enjoyed working with Crispin and they were gonna do a Spiderman movie back in the 80s look it up.
I recently got the Friday the 13th box set from scream factory, and I got an envelope of replacement disks for a few of the movies and I’m wondering what these are for?
Awesome ranking, dude! It's definitely unique compared to most, but that makes it fun! Friday the 13th is my favorite horror franchise. My ranking: 1. 4 2. 6 3. 3 4. 7 5. 2 6. 5 7. Remake 8. Original 9. FVJ 10. 8 11. Jason X 12. Goes to Hell
F-13th 6 is # 1 F -13th 4 is # 2 F -13th 3 is # 3 F-13th 2 is # 4 F-13th 1 is # 5 Jason vs Freddy is # 6 F- 13th 7 is #7 F- 13th 8 is # 8 And the rest don't matter
My favorite Friday the 13th is part 2. Bag head Jason. Plus the ending was fantastic. I feel like part 2 is really where the franchise starts. Plus the shout factory set put back in missing scenes from part 2 that had been lost for 40 years. So yeah part 2 is my favorite.
I agree mostly I don’t like the og that much except it’s the only one filmed on location and I live on east coast so it looks like my surroundings because it is
I agree with u, I thought it was a remake but they do take a bit of every part; taking the best parts of the old movies and u like u said in a earlier video - sandwich everything together.
. . 1 and 2 have always been it for me. I've rented a few of the others, but was not liking them. I have not seen the Freddy v Jason or the 2009 retelling, but you have stirred my curiosity so I'm going to stream them. . Enjoy seeing your videos. . 😎
I'm ok with the ranking. The reality is that a majority of the films in the series are not that great, but they are fun. I would probably put "Lives" a little higher, but your list is nothing I would take issue with.
Pretty surprised to see F13 3D ranked so low i love that movie. Pretty controversial ranking actually with also putting the remake at one, have you done this video to just get hits or is it what you really mean, i’m not hating or anything 😊just curious
@miaajaniss if you follow me, you shouldn't be shocked to see the remake at #1... I've been watching other RUclipsrs as I drove home from out of town and others have it at #1 as well...the hate for that movie makes absolutely ZERO sense lol... I enjoy part 3 but the 3d elements stick out as nothing but a distraction as a gimmick when not watching it in 3d and takes me out of the movie
I have also heard a lot of shit talking on Jason Goes to Hell. I really like it and have a lot of fun with it. Not only is Freddy's glove in it, but also the Necromicon from Evil Dead.
Surprised about your ranking of 3. After the remake it's my favorite. I agree with most of the rest of your list. Would probably swap a few here and there but it's close to how I would rank them.
What a huge missed opportunity for Arrow, not making today the official release date! Definitely could’ve built some more excitement around the release.
(‘02 Baby) 1. Part 4 2.Part 6 3. FvJ 4. Part 3 5. Part 5 6. Jason Goes to Hell 7. Jason X 8. Part 2 9. Part 7 10. Takes Manhattan 11. The OG (never rewatch this one) 12. The Remake (never cared for this one idk)
Interesting to hear what it is about the remake that you don't like so much...I'm always trying to figure out what it is people don't like...most of the time people say they don't like it but never say why lol
My ranking from worst to best: 12). Friday the 13th Part 7: The New Blood 11). Friday the 13th Part 3: 3D 10). Jason X 9). Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan 8). Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday 7). Freddy Vs. Jason 6). Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives 5). Friday the 13th Part 5: A New Beginning 4). Friday the 13th 2009 3). Friday the 13th 1980 2). Friday the 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter 1). Friday the 13th Part 2
@@AVAPopCulture Lives - Final Chapter - Remake - FvJ and after that I don't really care too much. The first one has a great twist at the end and an amazing final scare, but otherwise is just a Halloween ripoff.
How when he had 3D near the bottom? It can never objectively be a good list when that’s near the bottom behind a movie like Goes To Hell. Better to be honest than patronising like most people on here.
I have the Arrow 4k release of the Friday the 13th 2009 remake, and have recently watched it again, with that said. it’s last for me. Jason takes Manhattan is better IMO. It’s not the worst movie, its story is no good.
The remake is mostly bland. In my opinion. The cast feels like a 1990's sitcom kind of cast. Yeah, you have nudity, but it comes off as shoehorned in there. It's partly because the movie doesn't really play into the campy nature of things. I also, think the Underground lair feels more Leatherface, than Jason. This is an 80's franchise, but this film does not have the low budget, grindhouse and voyeuristic elements that the original series had. I know that's its pretty hard for a 2000's horror movie to accurate replicate that sort of 80's charm. But it feel of its time, and it wasn't a very fun time for horror movies. So, I don't agree that it has everything since doesn't really hit those grindhouse. Voyeuristic and campy elements. Does it even have the original score? Freddy vs. Jason is a Freddy movie. It features a very stiff and goofy looking Jason. There is some fun to be had, mostly provided by Robert England. Which is not a surprise. I would rank 3 and 5 much higher. Final Friday is just a strange freak show.
Id say if you think the remake is "bland", you probably subconciously decided you were not going to like it no matter what it had in it lol.... there arent really any movies from that time period or since that really capture the "grindhouse feel" you are talkng about because they dont make low budget movies for theaters anymore and they dont shoot on 16mm film or cheap 35 mm film anymore which is what is giving it that look and feel you are talking about... I also hate the underground lair stuff as I mentioned BUT this came at a time when Millineials were wanting everything "Explained" and all "supernatural" elements to be given a "rational explanation" to make the movies seem "more real"...they did it with Halloween as well but that part doesnt work...they have to be supernatural..they do backtrack on it at the very end though
@@AVAPopCulture Yeah, people wanted everything explained. I objected to the Halloween remake because of that alone. If nothing else. I guess the idea was to add a new wrinkle. I mean, a lot of people would say that it's easy to make a good Friday film. I mean, I guess it would seem that way, but I didn't think the movie was fun. The characters were either annoying, or they had that 90's teen show vibe. It's just such any 80's franchise that there is no big point to it outside of that time period. I don't like Final Friday or Jason X either. The movie is watchable. I do own the original blu, the blu from the Scream set, and I do have the 4k ordered at the discounted 25 bucks price. I will probably buy them all if they all hit 4k. There are merits. I do like the opening, along with Mears as Jason. I do like some kills also. There are some other elements that I'm not remembering off the top of my head that I would put in the positive category. I'd rank them this way: Jason Lives The Final Chapter Part 3 Friday the 13th part 2 Friday the 13th (1980) Friday the 13th: A New Beginning Jason vs. Freddy New Blood Friday the 13th (2009) Jason Takes Manhattan The Final Friday Jason X It's just hard when the camp factor really isn't there with this series. This series needs it more than the others. I mean, the films were nearly meant to be anything more than camp. I have watched them all multiple times besides Jasin X. It might have been the last VHS I ever rented. Haven't watched it since
Well I was a big fan of your channel but putting Friday the 13th Part 8 Jason takes Manhattan at last place makes me a sad panda. Thought you were better than that Chase.
@@AVAPopCulture if you put Jason X last instead of Friday the 13th 8 I will restore my faith in you lol. If you do the list next Halloween season and Jason X is lower than Part 8 I will know you seen the light lol
@@AVAPopCulture You know what they say about ANYTHING? Once upon a time... THEY burnt women at the stake and called them witches. Side with that lot of b.s.ers. Because THEY are idiots. @@AVAPopCulture I just got done telling you in another reply but I'll repeat myself = The Majority have been full of manure since the dawn of time. Part 7 and 3 are the worst in my opinion and I have a kinship to Part 8 as I was in Manhattan after I saw in upstate New York and its not my favorite but its not the worst either. You get Julius head punch and Jason killing future Jason in the dinner and that's worth the price of admission alone, plus the shot in Times Square is awesome and it has some great overall cinematography and the Metropolis song is badass.

Thank you for giving The New Blood a better ranking than some other people have. It's my favorite! Now, when it comes to scary, Part 2 is the best.
Really enjoying your vids, love how enthusiastic you are about films and the content output is insane, respect 🙏
Thanks my friend! I appreciate that! I have a lot of fun doing this!
Part 3 is my favorite.
Watching that right now and at top of my list
Part 3 is my favorite too.Part 3 was the first one I saw in 82 as an 11 year old so there is the nostalgia factor as well. I've watched Part 3 more than any of the others. I love Richard Brooker as Jason and really like the second half of 3. Dana Kimmel as Chris is one of my favorite final girls. I've always loved Part 3 and 4 but 3 is my fav. My 3rd fav is the 2009 remake. I love that one even though it gets the hate
Best chase scene in the franchise
@@fredhamilton4687 Yes. And best 2nd half of film, out of all. And best Jason. Funnest characters.
As I kid I remember the cover of Jason goes to Hell at the video rental store so we'll, it's burned into my mind because of it lol
@@tzmkira002 yep lol
Same!
All right Chase, you talked me into it. I will give the 09 movie another look. I only watched it once when it came out, and I have no real memories of it. Truthfully kinda forgot it existed until this new Arrow release.
Lol well, I am always happy anytime I can get someone to pop in a movie! Have fun with it...I think it is a great Homage
My top three favorites of the Friday The 13th franchise are Jason Lives, Final Chapter, and Part 2 in that particular order.
Growing up I was a big nightmare on Elm street and Michael Meyers fan while my cousins were Friday the 13th fans. We used to argue all the time over it and still do lol. I've never been a big Jason fan just thought it wasn't very original and didn't deserve the hype it got imo.
@wvbigbeef4278 NOES is a big one for me but something about FT13 just feels so quintessential 80s to me!
Thanks man! I really appreciate that brother! Glad you're having fun here because I am too! I 100% agree on FT13 2009!!
4 is in theatre right now and I agree on 09 it’s like the first 3. I say 3 is because that’s where he got the mask
Same on 09, I always thought of it as condensing 1-3 and then telling it's own story.
It’s actually condensing 1-4 because of Clay looking for his sister and how that’s like Rob looking for his sister in part 4.

The franchise is liked because it is campy, along with the Voyeuristic elements and the grindhouse feel. It's an 80's franchise. Nothing after Manhattan has that.

Respect your list man! I definitely don't get the hate for the 2009 movie either, however it's not my top.
Agree about Jason Goes to Hell too, love the practical effects. I do get the hate for this one but I still enjoy it.
Great vid man!
Yeah the 2009 one gets a lot of hate but I really liked it. I'm glad you do too!
I have fond memories of renting Jason takes Manhattan from the video shop as a kid and personally I think the Time square stuff is cool when he eventually gets there so I dig it dude, but definitely agree with you that Jason X has probably aged the worst out of the lot.
@@neildavies9234 Jason x is an example of why we shouldn't rely on so much CGI lol
👍
I have fun with it every time!

And how do you not do a sequel on the 13th of 2013, which would be the 13th installment in the franchise? Oh, so many opportunities missed.

All of the lower ranked films have some redeeming qualities, but the one that really gets under my skin is Jason Goes to Hell.
Happy Jason day lol! Bringing the controversy with that ranking huh? Lol

@@AVAPopCulture okay, hot take for ya,
just watched the '09 remake....I would argue that Trent was the good guy.
3) His main squeeze deserts him for a drifter so he bangs the hottest chick in the movie, which was his best option, and he enjoys it to the fullest. lol
4) His only mistake was inviting a bunch of degenerates into his parents vacation home (literal compound complete with stone walls and arches, etc. that they managed to build and frequent, despite this madman running loose in the woods that can access the inside of the house at will).
I had to put that out there L0L😉
I think I agree the 2009 #1. As a kind my favorite was Jason Lives

F13 is my favorite horror franchise, so I have a tough time ranking them. It usually depends what I'm in the mood for. Much respect for putting 2009 at the top of your list. @@mynock250 explain why...
Great list, Jason goes to Hell is my fave!
thank you! I never understood the hate for that one...I always have fun with it
The remake is mostly bland.
@@AVAPopCulture
Yeah, people wanted everything explained.

It's just hard when the camp factor really isn't there with this series. This series needs it more than the others. I mean, the films were nearly meant to be anything more than camp. I have watched them all multiple times besides Jasin X. It might have been the last VHS I ever rented. Haven't watched it since
Jason goes to Hell is unwatchable. I pretty much agree with the rest of list.
Love the video, but Friday 2009 wasn’t so great. I’m coming at you 😂
I whole heartedly disagree on Friday 2009...it has everything you could ever want from an 80s slasher/FT13 movie lol
Freddy vs jason is easily the WORST.
😂😂😂😂😂 Original Shit 💩 Worst ! 💯
The original Friday the 13th is a bottom 3 Friday movie
hot take? lol better duck and cover in the comments section hahaha jk
Well I was a big fan of your channel but putting Friday the 13th Part 8 Jason takes Manhattan at last place makes me a sad panda. Thought you were better than that Chase.
LOL to be fair, I wish I couldve switched it with Jason X after the fact lol
@@AVAPopCulture if you put Jason X last instead of Friday the 13th 8 I will restore my faith in you lol. If you do the list next Halloween season and Jason X is lower than Part 8 I will know you seen the light lol
Yep he lost me straight away too. Definitely better than Goes To Hell or Jason X imo. As is 3D but that’s just obvious
X worst I like 8 a lot seen in theatres
NOT TO FIND IN HOLLAND
New beginning Suuuuuuucks
The worst Top 3 of this ranking I've seen yet.
you know what they say about opinions.....
@@AVAPopCulture You know what they say about ANYTHING? Once upon a time... THEY burnt women at the stake and called them witches. Side with that lot of b.s.ers. Because THEY are idiots. The Majority have been full of manure since the dawn of time. I have tons of examples to back me up and your list is utterly horrendous. So, you're one to talk about exactly Nothing.
Well... you failed this Right Away: _Jason Takes Manhattan_ is one of the best of the franchise.
Embarrassing.
LOL I think you are nearly alone on that island hahaha but to each their own
@@AVAPopCulture I just got done telling you in another reply but I'll repeat myself = The Majority have been full of manure since the dawn of time. Thanks to trusting Majority Opinion, we have had witch burnings, we invaded the middle east for no reason, COVID spread like wildfire because people didn't want to stand a few INCHES apart from each other, we've had slavery and the majority thought that was Just Great for many years, Shall I Go On?
Part 7 and 3 are the worst in my opinion and I have a kinship to Part 8 as I was in Manhattan after I saw in upstate New York and its not my favorite but its not the worst either. You get Julius head punch and Jason killing future Jason in the dinner and that's worth the price of admission alone, plus the shot in Times Square is awesome and it has some great overall cinematography and the Metropolis song is badass.
@@davsny5 All 4 of the New Line "Jason" movies are bad. Don't sit there and trash talk 2 amazing movies like _Part 3_ and _The New Blood_ while those stinkers exist. Learn to love great horror.

I have two 3D TV's so I will have to re-visit Jason 3D. 😎👍
@donjaun540 Though I have an LG 3D set, I've recently upgraded to a 4k/3d 100" display. 3D seems to be more effective at home than in theaters...probably due to many theaters not projecting them properly
@@KimStinson-cf7vx Yes Kim I agree. I have almost fifty 3D movies. How about you ❓
@@donjaun540 Never counted but probably around 100, Love some of the Marvel 3D discs, with DR STRANGE MoM being a recent fave.
