I have been having soy about 40-50g six days per week for last 4 and half months. No side effects, plus helps me add protein content in my diet. Has improved strength and muscle.
How are you consuming it? Like are you buying processed soy chunks or something?
@@-SimonRiley soya chunks. There are famous brands like nutrella and fortune. Buy their soya chunks. I boil them and then cook with onion and some other veggies. Add spices and all as per taste.

@@-SimonRiley yeah don't eat them raw or after just soaking in water. I boil them for 4-5 minutes to get rid of impurities and all. And I am using fortune and nutrella brand. I haven't had any side effects or indigestion. So that's why i have continued as a part of meal. Now a days instead of just 40-50 gms of soya, i have reduced quantity a bit and mix soya, paneer and one egg together during lunch. I think don't buy unbranded or open bagged soya chunks. Cause you won't know from where it came and no idea of its freshness or expiry. I once bought unbranded one and got indigestion problem and felt bloated.Branded is bit expensive but worth it.

hello sir, I was looking for similar information. YT recommended your videos an I am glad I found it, my question regarding soya chunks, I am regular 6 times per week gym going male person, seeking to manage my protein intake, i am consuming soya chunk regularly 2 times a day (Lunch and Dinner) 50-50 gm properly boiled, and also balancing my carbs with whole grain chapati and fruits, my daily calories count 2200. I use to take eggs and soaked kala chana -mung in my breakfast meal as other sources of Protein. should i be concerned(Heart related issue and Hormonal dis balancing) with soya intake? , what better i can do with? i have a moderately active daily life schedule so digestion is no issue here
According to you, soy should be taken in moderate amount but how can we decide "what is the value of this moderate amount"?

The best source of plant based protein is soy. I consume it everyday along with rajma, paneer, tofu and veggies, sauteed with butter together... Of course rice and dal is the other half of my meal. Complete protein vegetarian meal for a vegetarian like me. I feel good and full.

just sharing my own experience - whenever i take soya chunks my chest nipples become puffy and it feels like chest is lose / soft after taking soya ..
Also am working out since 1.5 years and i had some skinny chest fat which is not developing at all.
Now pl dont say that change your diet and training! i dont know what new i can do to develop my chest.
Coming back to the point , i really feel embarrased when my chest is weakest part of my body and it reacts to soy that way.
i observed when my testosterone is good my chest is pumped , else it always stay in bad shape all the time

Soy was and still is a very controversial topic. Some people, as we can see in the comments section, have reported side effects after consuming soy products. And in pear shaped women, who are already estrogen dominant , research says they should refrain from consuming soy based and high fat diet. Soya is a highly estrogenic food which can cause hormonal fluctuations and imbalances in many individuals. One has to be careful how much and how often to consume it. Every individual is different.
Soy is not a controversial topic
No one gets any side effects unless ur allergic to soy, which is same for all foods in the world
Body shape has no relation to soy, and there is no such study anywhere in any journal or by any nutrition body in the world
Soy is not estrogenic, it has phytoestrogens, something completely different and extremely beneficial for humans

Sir, is it ok to consume it everyday to balance the overall protein intact? Like I add 10gm of protein from soya chunks everyday to my total protein intact. I try to take around 70gm of protein in total out of which around 20-22gm from supplements and rest from normal food. I almost reach up to 60gm per day with everything I eat.

My mother is osteoporpsis patient since menopause because her estrogen has gone down. Will soy mimic estrogen if she consumes Or as you said that before it reaches receptors it is mostly dysfunctional and only 1% Or so is active.
