A good toolbox is priceless! You have to protect and organize the tools that make your money. Especially if you have to move around a shop. I always left mine in one place and used two carts for getting too the actual job when needed. I have 2 Mac Tools boxes and 4 Stanley Vidmar boxes, I did have a very large Vidmar but consolidated a lot of stuff and sold it when I retired. Room in my barn is tight LOL. You will definitely appreciate being able to organize your tools and find what you are looking for when needed. Haven't really had a chance to look for those Cummins parts yet, health hasn't been cooperating and had a milling job that absolutely needed done. I didn't forget though. Cheers.
nice toolbox. I have a set of old school round corner roller front Snap On toolboxes that i bought new 43 years ago and have said for 40 years that if I ever replaced them it would be with a pair of Lista or Vidmar counter height cabinets on a pallet jack the only thing that stopped me from changing up was the lack of 1 or 2 54 inch drawers for long stuff. Now that I'm retired someone is finally making my dream toolbox complete with an end cabinet for additiional storage . excellent choice even if you would have had to pay list price it would be less expensive than the new style Snap On boxes
I learned as a young mechanic to compare weight of boxes as one factor in build quality. I really like the drawer divider potential built into those 👍👍
It is a nice box. Keep an eye out may be able to score a deal on one too!! I admit it got me a little bit when I was loading it as it turns out it has a built in interlock system so you can’t open more than one drawer in a bank at a time. It’s a nice feature to keep the box from getting flipped over.
@@bcbloc02 That's a nice feature. I almost flipped a 60" tall Vidmar cabinet full of cast iron ring gauges once when half the drawers came open at the same time. I did a quick body slam to get them closed before the thing went completely over!
happy birthday, Its been my experience that any flat surface introduced into a shop is only 5 minutes away from being a bench. I used to work on flatbed semi trailers, & if they were in the shop overnight, they attracted clutter on their own somehow.
Brian, we got a Lista cabinet that came from a 24 man shop that has got to be more than twenty years old, used and abused. I have it between the mill and the drill presses and it is handy to have all the "stuff" nearby. It has many hundreds of pounds in it and all the drawers work as smooth as yours even after its former life! IF it works out, a divider bolted in adds strength to keep the floor from sagging.
I have a craftsman box and besides the drawer front coming off one drawer it has been serviceable. I think the us general boxes are better made than the craftsman ones.

Yes that shall be an interesting project for sure!
what is the model number of the lista box?
This one is a custom configuration so no exact number for it. You can go online on their page and build one out with all kinds of various drawer setups. The base cabinet of mine is a 56w model 48”tall.
number one thing i can tell people when buying a tool box, pull out the bottom drawer stand in the bottom draw and see if it still slides in and out. This test EXCLUDES Abom79 ....... lol
I can tell you I have more weight in that 1” drive drawer than Adam weighs!
He did show that too. It was fine.
Nice cabinet, but cracks already in your concrete floor that if I remember right are unusually thick, hummm.
That happens if you drop a 30000lb drill on the floor from 3 ft in the air.
@@bcbloc02 that incident remains with me at all times, makes me think and inspect. Feel sure the repaired bridge crane handled even the big dyno with ease.
It’s a sad day when a machinist doesn’t take care of his tools and leave them laying all around!
Well I just got a new tool box not as big as the one you got but is the same color. So you going to build a rocket? And no Bailey? See told you he was going to be upset!!!! Poor boss....
The boss passed through to check on things from time to time just didn’t get caught on film.
@@bcbloc02 Wow when I first started to read you reply, my hart jumped! The way it was on my phone. The first line read... The Boss Pasted... scared me... then continued to read rest was a relief.
Up early?
Always up early and late. It’s the only way I can get anything done.
Very nice box. By comparison the HF 56 inch box is only 502 pounds.
Lucky Bayley is a female, know what my Male dogs will do to the new cabinet!!!
Except Baily is a male. 😱 a nutless wonder but still a male.
