The last resort always made me feel... a sense of delusion. The plot has thickened and there´s this constant worry with every little progress you make within the game, as if something´s wrong. Yet I loved this area, so fun and exciting, it´s truly the ´last resort´ before the end

Omori, to me, has these sort of phases, but specifically in the Sunny route it felt like this:
When you first start the game, it's cute, fun, colorful, and well decorated
When Basil disappears and you wake up for the first time, it gives you an underlying sense that something's wrong, but you can continue afterwards blissfully unaware of the outside world and thinking "we'll probably find Basil soon."
Then when you get passed the prologue and into three days left, if you open the door, the outside world gives you the nostalgia and the reality that outlines headspace with this feeling of almost grief/mourning?
Then once you get back into headspace after meeting Hero, that strong feeling of "SOMETHING'S WRONG" seems to follow you around all the way up until the end of the game, where it throws you into that weird cluster of emotions when you find out the truth/fight Omori/listen to the duet/watch Sunny finally tell the truth to his friends
TL;DR: It really is a rollercoaster of emotions.

@@kelnukephilosopher Nicely said, I gotta admit this "something's wrong" feeling is one of my least and most favorite concepts in horror games

@@timursimanko7174true lol. imo it gives headspace's borderline annoying dragged out feeling a lot more meaning. lots of games are way shorter than omori so before the prologue is even over you dont have to worry about that "something's wrong" feeling too much yet until eventually you reach that hopeless reaching for nothing phase after headspace starts falling to chaos
