🌸💜a Pixie Day is a good day. 💜🌸 Thank you for remembering Indigenous People in your protest, they are often and infuriatingly forgotten and ignored, but they are also targets of racism and violence. Thank you for being awesome 💜huuuuugs💜 Oh also, 🌈Happy Pride Month!🌈
I was considering if I should post this because I didn’t want it to come off the wrong way, but the jumpsuit at the start gave me such a warm feeling because I’ve always been self conscious of my chest since I was diagnosed with BDD when I was a teenager. I have never seen someone with a chest like mine not wearing a bra, and you made me realise my body is okay, this really means a lot to me, so thank you for showing beauty in different ways. ❤️❤️
KENN reads ShounenJump Plays JRPGs and JMMORPGs!! BDD stands for body dysmorphic disorder. It’s a mental health issue that happens when you feel disconnected to the way you look and or have hatred/disgust for certain parts of yourself. For me personally, I have always had it towards my chest and would cover it up in oversized clothes because I feel like I don’t look as pretty as other girls.
@@rainyday3128 Oh. Ok thanks for he information. Was it because it was too big? If you don't mind me asking. I hope I don't sound rude or nosy. I know someone with that problem she wears over sized shirts. She's gonna get a reduction because her chest size causes her pain in her back and neck and it's even hard to breathe or do simple activities. People even harassed her because of her size.
It’s important for everyone to hear about how racism is everywhere in the world. Especially when it’s somewhere that most of us wouldn’t think of. Thank you. BLM.
Thank you so much for speaking out Pixie! 💕🌈As an American it makes me feel really hopeful seeing other countries join the fight and speak out against racism in their own countries.
Chantel Moore was from my community. I never knew her but I knew her name, so learning what happened to her was heart breaking and I'm glad you brought her up. It scares me that almost the same has happened to my sister, the police came for a wellness check, beat her up, and laughed at her crying in the hospital. She is white passing so imagining what could have happened if she looked more like my mom is scary. ACAB, BLM, ILM.
Canada is absolutely not better. Many of our Indigenous communities don’t even have drinkable water. And we are constantly stealing more of their land to build pipelines. I hope the momentum of the BLM movement continues to make real change and truly expands beyond the US borders to give the Black and Indigenous peoples of Canada the equality they have been fighting for for hundreds of years.
The police brutality against Indiginous groups and POC is all the same here in Canada. The police here are just better at hiding it. It's completely messed up and needs a change.
I am SO guilty of the "this dress doesn't fit me but I can take it apart and use it as a pattern!" . . . guess how many times I've actually done that. Literally ZERO.
What you said in the beginning was... beyond words, and I appreciate that you talked about what's happening in Canada a little as well. In a perfect world, we'd all be happy together
I love the process you went about your sustainability in your wardrobe. Like feeling stuck but then being like “ok then what i can do different?”. And cleaning out your closet and giving stuff away must be hard. I look forward to what brands and methods you do in the future! Also i LOVE your dress! It’s very you! Very unique!!! Very kitche ugh i just love it.
I LOVE the dress you made! The cut is so cute and flattering and the mix of fabrics is adorable. I was hoping I could buy it somewhere but it makes me excited for the day you make your own clothing brand to sell ^_^
I’ve been doing the Marie Kondo “does this spark joy?” My husband got rid of four bags of clothes, I got rid of maybe two. But that’s okay! Tee shirts make me so happy, they have since I was a wee one. And that’s what truly matters you know? If it makes you happy. However my “needs sewing/alternating/dye job” clothes were no included. 😜 The dress you made is hella cute. I love it.
Watching this video made me realize how long I have actually been watching you. I recognize and remember you hauling like 50% of the clothes you showed.
Thank you for speaking out. The more supportive voices the better! (Of course let POC lead the movement, let us amplify their voices!) Seriously just gained so much respect for you. You have been one of my favorite creators for a few years now and learning where you stand was awesome.
Your video made my whole day. I've had a streak of depression for a week and this video makes me leave that sad space even for a little bit. Thank you 🌈🌈 P.s :i am so glad you are talking about blm. It is so important to talk about the rasicm in the world.
im so happy you also brought up the racism in canada, when i say anything about it i get crazy looks cuz no one here in the US like to think of canada as anything but perfectly nice 🙏🏼
Would you consider donating some of the ad revenue from the video to BLM causes? : ) I think it'd go well with the message at the beginning. Love the video so much!!
a lot of RUclipsrs are committing to donate ALL of their ad revenue from videos they're posting at the moment. I think after the message at the beginning this is something pixie should really consider too.
I think assuming she isn't donating is a little condescending; it's clear Pixie is very well informed and is continuing to educate herself - I'd be very surprised if she wasn't donating video revenue to BLM causes already.
Thank you for the beginning of this video. I love that so many RUclipsrs/social media influencers with platforms are speaking out and raising awareness/money instead of just ignoring the problem and going about their lives(or just making performative efforts to look woke, hi people taking selfies in front of property damaged by protestors/treating Black Out Tuesday like a social media challenge). I just saw a video by an art RUclipsr named Lavendertowne where she used her regular art content to talk about the constitution and draw attention to how what is happening right now goes against it. Like you, I am a pasty white girl who worries that she isn't doing enough so I feel you. You are an amazing and sweet person and the world needs more people like you.
you will forever be one of my favorite creators. Not only do I love your videos because of your style, your humor, your interests, and your colors, but I also love you because of your ethics, how you're not scared to talk about serious issues like mental health issues, self harm, racism and it's just so nice to see genuine allies. As a white ally myself it's just nice to see because I feel like I'm seeing a lot of white people pretending to be allies but I feel like quite a bit of them are just doing it for clout and don't actually care about it.
I wanted to comment this after watching the intro before I forget,, Sweet Jilly bean~ you may be a leetle white rainbow baby in ur bedroom, but you have so much sweet power!!! Your support is 👌🏾 uplifting black voices is 👌🏾👌🏾 and even posting your own content is 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾. Spreading love/loving messages is so powerful. Being yourself is so immensely powerful. steve really knows how to edit the videos to make it 10x amusing to watch my god x'D Im still laughing from the sound effects and the way the scenes are cut
Pixie I don’t think U realize how much joy and hope your videos give to people. I could be the most stressed I’ve ever been and your videos are like a breath of fresh air.
It makes me so happy to see you use your platform in such a good way, thank you for acknowledging your voice & privilege and using it!! Also that dress at the end 😻😻😻 I need like 20 asap 🥺💖✨
I feel like I needed this! (TW regrading disordered eating) Over the years I’ve had weight fluctuations (of like 60lbs) because of eating issues. I’ve kept hold of all my “small” clothes which are 2-3 sizes too small for me now because I keep thinking I’ll fit them again one day and every time I go to get dressed I look at them and it triggers the starve/binge cycle again and I ultimately put on more weight! 😭 but this has inspired me to push myself to let go of those items!
thank you for using your platforms so appropriately and sensibly during these times 🥺 a lot of people ( including me ) idolise you and it's great to see you spreading awareness and encouraging your fans to take part in the movement across all of your platforms and im super proud :) we love you ♡
You should make your next video be you and Steve screwing back on all the covers to your light switches and outlets 😂 💕You can make it fun by decorating each one with cute stickers.
It is so so so good and necessary and important to see fellow Canadians talking about racism and police brutality. So often we want to act like this racism and police brutality is an American problem. But in all reality, we are just as guilty. And the fact that few people want to talk about it just makes matters worse.
I've been sorting through and rearranging my fabrics and sewing area after picking up some free drawers on the side of the road. They're wooden and not the best quality, but I can organize things like ribbons, interfacing, and patterns into their own drawers now instead of just sitting wherever they fit. And yeah, I'm getting rid of some materials that I can't think of anything I'd do with them. Either that don't look good with my skin tone, or fabrics that I don't like sewing with. It's a good time for that, and I have some really cool ideas for clothes to make myself since I don't have to worry about costume contests for the moment.
I think I would love to participate in a fundraiser by you! Don't be scared to use your power for good in a few weeks! This is gonna be a marathon and I'd love to run with you lady!!! Love you so much! Thank you for your sunshine
Thank you, Pixie, for the message at the beginning. It means so much when those with an audience use their voice to support those without as much of a voice. Also, I really hope you are doing okay, please accept my virtual warm hug, and don't forget to take care of yourself too. We can keep fighting and speaking up for change, but taking care of yourself is also important.
We love an informed and informative, empathetic, tenderhearted fashionable sunshiney icon who also cares about sustainability!!! I have to stan!!! 💖💖 I wanna be like Jillian when I grow up (even though I think I'm a couple years older than you 🤷♀️)
I am so happy when I get to see videos from you! Stay safe stay strong you're fabulous and thank you so much for addressing what is going on, I think you are inspiring many people of color to enjoy and embrace wearing pastels. Keep up the good work for yourself and the world my dear! You light up a whole room
Firstly, thank you for addressing BLM it’s so important to speak about this and spreading awareness for it is important! Also you are looking so happy and healthy! I’m so happy for you Jillian and I can’t wait what other garments you make, I already Stan that dress. 👀🥺💕 👏We need more fashion design videos! 👏 I need that good ‘ol sewing content. 😤

Please don't get discouraged because this is about long sustained changes that improves the lives of people around the world!
Thanks Pixie. My brain has been working hard recently & my heart has been hurting. We all need space to reset & so we can come back stronger, thanks for making this space for me!
Thank you for wearing something that you like/are comfortable in this video, I have a very similar upper body shape and have always felt I couldn’t wear very low cut clothing because I didn’t look like the other women in media. So thank you, so much for showing me I can be beautiful too.
the message at the beginning. the action closet. the timelapse music. the colorblock gingham dress/shirt. this is a perfect video
Weird thing to say, but I'm happy to see someone with natural boobs be braless. Gives me confidence to do the same!
oh, big same!!
that dress you made is DARLING. I was really thinking "I hope she says where she got it bc I HAVE to buy one"
You said ‘darling’ 🥺
