    They both started in the 1998 NBA All Star game. They were the two players that led the transition from the 90s to the 2000s NBA. Along with Tim Duncan of course.

      Yeah, I remember when he lost to the Lakers in 2003 First Round Playoffs, he sat on the dias by himself stating that he could have done more. KG led his team in: POINTS, REBOUNDS, ASSISTS, BLOCKS, & STEALS! He didn't throw anyone under the bus, he took it on the chin!
      I really don't know what more could my 2nd favorite player of all-time could have done!

    KG was a real one for his 2010 “what if” answer. That was the last box office finals. All the finals since have been predictable and guys give up once things got real hard. Lebron controlled media really ruined the NBA culture.

      I’ll never forget… First thing in the morning at work I got a text from a friend asking me if I heard what happened to Kobe. Baffled by the question I quickly googled him and saw “Kobe Bryant dies in helicopter crash”… Man I isolated myself in my office the entire day and said nothing. I just couldn’t believe it.     I'll never forget the interview kg did with the late great John Thompson when he got emotional and was saying how they broke the team up after a Western Conference Finals and basically getting rid of everybody including flip trying to make kg go into rebuild mode that's the real reason he got traded to Boston he never wanted to leave but he had no choice

      @@funhunting2751 wrong, Ariza came in 2007-2008 season with the Lakers, he played only half of the season due to injury, returned playoff and finals but not 100% healthy.

    "yall win the chip if you all fully healthy?" .... sorry but the most banged up guy in that series was kobe. he had a broken index finger with a giant splint cast on his shooting hand and a knee with zero cartilage that was about to make him play the lowest minutes as a starter of his career the very next season by skipping surgery to try and three peat again. his body was wrecked. so don't give me that crap

    Kobe & KG were my fave 2 players I wanted them as a tandem, can you imagine him instead of pau , love pau but KG was different best PF all time I count Timmy as a center since more than half his career he played center

    The real what-if that peope forget is the 2009 Celtics who had the juice of being defending champs and running through the league that year before KG injured his knee. The Celtics were up 3-2 but ultimately lost to the Magic in 7 in conference semis.
