@S2 RST Yeah had it for a while It was found in a barn In Kent I bought it And put it back together I've got a Soft top RS now But that's in the garage Been in there For over 10 years
Gorgeous car. Well done. Aside from all the amazing resto you have done, it amazes me this car survived in the first place. These cars used to dissolve in the rain, all the old ford's showed signs of rust within 5 or so yrs from new. It was said about XR RS ford's that they went well (especially on the arches) closest I got to an RST was an XR3I MK4 . Same colour as yours. Great car but it was hard to keep the rust off. At 7 yrs old, though the car looked mint it was washed polished regularly. it needed a weld done on the spare wheel compartment and the sunroof cradle was crispy and needed replacing. My mate had one as tidy as mine and bought some new alloys for his, as they jacked the car up to put them on the boot buckled.
Thanks Rich, appreciate the comments. I’m not surprised the boot floor buckled though…..doesn’t take much does it 🤦🏼♂️🤣 as you can see from the video, near enough all the panels needed replacing so there was some serious work put in by the lads
@@s2rsturbo at least you're honest 😆. There's one on ebay at the moment. H plate, Mercury grey, 7 owners and full service history. Would make a great restoration project for someone.
@@martynreed835 seen it mate, there’s another Red one just come up as well. Massive job getting them mint though, unbelievable how many panels needed replacing, you just don’t know until you’ve stripped them down though 😩
@@s2rsturbo I haven't seen that one yet. I'll have a look. That's a mk4 escort for you. My first rs barely scraped though the mot and needed loads of welding so got the work done and sold it with a fresh ticket. The other one was pretty good until it got acquainted with a ditch on a bend 😒
@@martynreed835 😩 I bet that hurt!!!! It still surprises me how small and tinny they are compared to modern cars. Parked next to a focus not long ago, and the focus looks massive next to it 🤷🏼♂️
Класс! Я тоже начинаю реставрацию МК-3. Но, у меня так не получится, как у Вас!.))) 1. ruclips.net/video/vfRokbNkqKI/видео.html 2. ruclips.net/video/I-eAcJkQoBI/видео.html
Good job, but why is it that virtually every RUclips video is accompanied by an annoying soundtrack? There's no need for it. - we're looking at the video! I'm sure I'm not the only one who moves on to another video as soon as I hear this nonsense in the background.
Nice to see it back on the road I had it 15 years ago Looks lovely
Thank Phil, did you have it for a while? Assuming around the Kent area. Think it spent most of its life around that area?

I was gonna send some photos but I can't work out how to do it lol
It’s only had 7 previous owners to me so relatively low for one of these. Ye that’s be great if you could send me some photos??? Are you on Instagram?
I have PhilCosworth Look me up when I get home from work tomorrow I'll fire up the laptop
Nice job, a lot of hard work there, well done. They were the machine back in the early nineties, happy days then. Cheers

Thank you mate, the work wasn’t carried out by me though, I just stripped it all down ready for them. Was restored by a local company 👍🏻

🤣🤣 sorry mate but there’s not much choice for the music. Everything’s copyrighted!!?? You could always just turn the volume down 🤷🏼♂️
