I personally find Detail Geek's work very satisfying as far as 'consumer-grade' detailing goes. Jim's work of polishing an exterior for multiple days is not very comparable to cleaning filthy beaters.
This car can never be driven anymore! 😂 Just don‘t touch it anymore! Jim, an incredible piece of art what you have done on this car! Absolutely incredible!!!
My dad owns an XR3 from 1981. Watching this detail was very sentimental. Im glad to see such a fine example being detailed by none other than Jim White.
Fantastic work as always, Jim! This car has great significance for me. As a child, growing up in the '80s, I was an avid reader of 'Fast Ford' magazine and dreamed of owning an RS Ford. In 1995 my dream came true and I bought a mercury grey 1989 series two Escort RS Turbo. The nostalgia and great memories I have of that car, have come flooding back, watching this.
I saved watching this video for the first day of my hols. Jim, as I mentioned on your insta post it is been a pleasure to watch you breathe life back into my motoring heritage. I have been cleaning and now detailing cars for 40 years and you are simply he best. Every day is a learning day -thanQ
I did work at Halewood in the paint shop for 30yr building Escorts and I never did I see a car go passed me looking anything like that 👍 not even at the dealership when we would go there, yes it had some stone chips, that you could do nothing about, but that looks better than new to me. Love it and the car 😆
Jim. Your work is superb. The fact that you work so hard on your customers cars is one thing but then to edit these videos for your audience takes your commitment to another level. I remember driving these when they were new. Another Ford success that back then were 10 a penny but now as rare as rocking horse 💩 in this condition. Brilliant. Thanks.
Couldn’t sleep last night and while surfing RUclips I came across your channel and this video. Thanks Jim for putting this up. One of my favourite cars restored so well and you have a great way of presenting. Cheers
Mega Mega work!!! Everyone can understand the fantastic detailing on this car...however, only a few will truly know and appreciate the time and effort you must have put in with the camera work! Thank You @whitedetails and Jim!
Really good to see a car from my youth being brought back to life. Stunning work Jim I can only imagine the frustration that it caused you but the results speak volumes.
Man, you are the absolute number one! Your work is as near as perfection that can be humanly done! Cheers from the other side of the sea (Neuquén, Argentina)!
Sir Jim you are a detailing wizard ! Until just recently I owned a Mercury grey version of the same car ! 20,000 mile 3 owner ! Thank you for bringing back so many happy memories 💖
I don't know what to say. You are the reference standard for all detailers. I have not seen anyone who gets close to you. Just bought you a coffee to show my appreciation.
Absolutely brilliant, the finish is Stunning, and I will be honest, at the beginning of this video, I did not think that you would of got rid of those underlying scratches within the paintwork... But you did, and I take my hat off to you, unbelievable.... And I will also say that I throughly enjoyed watching this, thank you.....
Jim, my first reaction was 'wow, I am astonished at how well this RS has come out', but taking a minute to absorb what I've just watched, I shouldn't be surprised at all... The effort, time, skill and dedication you have put into this project, and the final results, are a benchmark for all detailers everywhere. You are my new favourite detailer (along with the likes of Paul Dalton and Kelly Harris) and I cannot wait until the next video. As far as I'm concerned, White Details is the very definition of car care. Keep up the excellent work, you are an inspiration sir.
My brother in law worked in the city of London back in the day and had one as a company car. He let me have it for a weekend (he had some great cars then, still does now he is retired!) Spent the weekend looking out the passenger window going round roundabouts! Great car and yours is a credit to you. Enjoy it whilst you still can. Bound to banned like most things we enjoy at some point.....
Wow ! Just .... Wow! The rougher they are, the better they look when it comes to the White Detail. So good to see another vlog and boy was this a looker! Thanks Jim !
Great job Jim, and what a nice car. Takes me back, right back 1988 and being 17 cleaning next doors Escort xr3i in mercury grey for £10 and my mums flat black MG Metro Turbo!! Happy days, fairy liquid soap in one bucket with a sponge!, turtle wax paste, Autoglym Glass polish blue thick plastic marking glass cleaner. Armarol dash gloss! polish or Mr Sheen and finish the wheels off with four good lungs full of back to black aerosol spray. Yesterday I was 50. Flip me, the past 33 years seem and feel have gone by in a flash. Cheers
Much prefer to see the old cars getting detailed and the level of skill involved is so much higher than on the more modern paint Great work and thanks for filming it
Hi Jim I'm glad you carried on doing this after last year and you saying you fancied a change etc etc it's good to see you back and you're a master at your class. Very inspiring and as always superb work transformation is awesome someone will be very happy taking that to the next show. All the best mate long may you continue doing this Jules in Notts
I had one with 48k miles on it in 2005ish that I paid a LOT for, miss it some times but they are better to look at these days. I daily'd mine thru the summer months and stored it all winter. I got my enjoyment out it but it was a sweat inducing procedure to leave it parked anywhere. Only car I won a trophy with too, started me with detailing and many years later this channel so seeing you do one of these makes me nostalgic. And I'm only 37 lol
Amazing results. Said to myself I’d just skip to the end and see how it came out....but ended up watching the whole video!!! Great content as always. 👍🏻
I watched this all the way through last night (best Saturday night tv I’ve seen in years!) and I’m still in awe at the incredible job you did on the Ford Jim. Blown away!!!
An outstanding detail.........and one of the best episodes in a long time! My boss had a brand new Mercury Grey RS Turbo and she let me drive it a couple of times. Back then, I had my second car, a Mk3 Escort 1.3 Ghia, so the RS Turbo was a rocket ship in comparison, although I do vividly recall the heavy steering an awful torque steer. Happy memories!
The 214,000 mile Vogue white detail was my favourite video of yours. Until this. The finished article is a thing of beauty. Another cracking job, Jim. Well done 👍
My dad had an Escort xr3i in black with the red pinstripe unfortunately before I was born . My mother decided it would be fun to write it off and he got a rover 414i and an escort van when I was born 🤮
Hi Jim, I’ve been enjoying watching your work for a couple of years, it’s overdue that we should give a little back. So keep up the good fight and I’ll throw in whenever I can.
Hi Jim, another great case study, I am a BMW fan my self but it was fantastic to see an old school ford on the channel. In fact I was on my lap top when I seen this and had to go to the living room to watch this on the big screen! Well done for taking on the challenge with regards to the combo of the car and colour. Love all the lines on that car and it makes a nice difference to see this rather than the regular modern day machinery that's on. Keep up the great work, another like and all the best until the next one!
I remember a friend having an identical one of these on a D plate in 1992, they were expensive cars then, very desirable and if the car wasn’t stolen the wheels soon were, so also expensive to insure. It’s also interesting thinking back to non power assisted steering as you didn’t think anything of it at the time, that era of more modern appearing cars seemingly felt particularly light in any case and very responsive once on the move. I enjoyed your video as I have most of your awesome work, thanks and best wishes.
Having owned a few of these through the 90s, I absolutely loved this episode. Watching for a few years now and a lot of other channels. I have to say WD has to be the best in the UK. Incredibly work 👌.
Absolutely incredible. Owning and trying to maintain a flat black car, I fully appreciate the effort that goes into that. I still haven’t mastered the refining to the point if eliminating the haze sometimes. Probably need more pads. Great video 👍
I use to have the Mk IV XR3i version in black when I was younger, wish I still had it. However, watching the video, I now regret wasting 30+ years of my life working in a damn office when after watching your video, all I wanted to do was learn to detail cars. Superb video, I'll subscribe and watch more.
Stunning Jim, simply stunning. I worked in a used car dealer in the late 80's / early 90's as a valeter and know how much of a pig flat paint is. I've never seen one in this condition, even when they were only a year or so old.
My Aunt brought a F Reg RS identical to this from Mark Hughes ( x Man U player ) many years ago and as a young lad it was the dream car ...absolutely amazing work here Jim 👌🏽 best video so far in my opinion
A fantastic job you have performed again Jim bringing life back into this old paint work. Looks a million times better than before you started on it. Keep up the fantastic work.
Even at 85% to 90%, I have no doubt that it did not look this good when the first owner drove it off the dealers lot. As always, #detailingthewhiteway is the premier way to have your car done. Excellent as always, Jim!
Should be a million plus channel.
Master craftsman.
Thank you jim.
All of those channels are just clickbait trash where they clean soccer mom cars full of childrens shit stuck to the seats.
I personally find Detail Geek's work very satisfying as far as 'consumer-grade' detailing goes. Jim's work of polishing an exterior for multiple days is not very comparable to cleaning filthy beaters.
@@WaffleDragon me to, there is always room for trash garbage cars being cleaned and i love it but this is something else;)
This car can never be driven anymore! 😂 Just don‘t touch it anymore!
Jim, an incredible piece of art what you have done on this car! Absolutely incredible!!!

Ahhh takes me back.... when a car’s driver aids were 3 pedals and a round thingy in front of the driver. Superb work as always
Absolutely stunning finish. I think I could have sat on that chair staring at it for about a week ❤️❤️❤️
Totally agree lad👌fuckin stunning job.
Not only a master detailer but a master videographer too. High class workings, Jim.
I saved watching this video for the first day of my hols. Jim, as I mentioned on your insta post it is been a pleasure to watch you breathe life back into my motoring heritage. I have been cleaning and now detailing cars for 40 years and you are simply he best. Every day is a learning day -thanQ
I had a mk2 RS turbo D reg in white brought back a lot of memories watching this,an absolutely outstanding detail job yet again.
I did work at Halewood in the paint shop for 30yr building Escorts and I never did I see a car go passed me looking anything like that 👍 not even at the dealership when we would go there, yes it had some stone chips, that you could do nothing about, but that looks better than new to me. Love it and the car 😆
White Details: Correction, Reflection, Perfection. Top work Jim.
taking on a job like that takes balls... you're becoming a master of the art of polish.
Wow, the proof that you are a true professional with a passion to provide a service that is second to none despite the difficulties.
A new upload from Jim is like celebrating Christmas 😂🎄. Wuhuuu!
Jim. Your work is superb. The fact that you work so hard on your customers cars is one thing but then to edit these videos for your audience takes your commitment to another level. I remember driving these when they were new. Another Ford success that back then were 10 a penny but now as rare as rocking horse 💩 in this condition. Brilliant. Thanks.
Now THIS is an amazing car! Congratulations to the owner for keeping it like this.
Jim. One of, if not , the best , jobs you have done given the age and delicacy of the paint. A true artisan. Brilliant
Couldn’t sleep last night and while surfing RUclips I came across your channel and this video. Thanks Jim for putting this up. One of my favourite cars restored so well and you have a great way of presenting. Cheers
Matte black "...like polishing butter"
Best line ever!! 🤩
Thanks Jim
Had a black mk5 xr3i 19 years ago... good times
Amazing work Jim.... you kind of forget how small cars from the 80s really were....and how we played with single stage paint....
A very detailed job that only an expert can accomplish. Jim, you are the best.
Thank you for posting !
Incredible work, Jim. I can’t imagine your anxiety levels whilst polishing this 😂
I hope they look after it now 👊🏼
This one is really unbelievable result. I have no word strong enough to describe how good your work is. I could watch your videos all day long.
Man, you are the absolute number one! Your work is as near as perfection that can be humanly done!
Cheers from the other side of the sea (Neuquén, Argentina)!
It looks like a museum piece.
Pure perfection
White details is detailing at its pinnacle! This is levels.
I’m sooo glad to see the front bumper got painted looks a million dollars Jim, top man, top job.
Sir Jim you are a detailing wizard ! Until just recently I owned a Mercury grey version of the same car ! 20,000 mile 3 owner ! Thank you for bringing back so many happy memories 💖
I'm happy to see you seem less worn down, and tired in this one sir. The work was as always top notch.
Amazing work, Jim. Would have loved to see an owner reaction on this one!
. . . and here we have the shiniest RS Turbo to ever exist. Amazing work and extremely satisfying to watch. 👌🏼🤩
That takes me back to the days right there. Damn, what a mighty backflash.
Fantastic result on what, for me, was a bit of a nostalgia fest - XR3i back in the day! Top work, Jim.
Fantastic Jim! Your work always amazes me, the attention to detail is brilliant and the hours you put in to a car is unbelievable.
I don't know what to say. You are the reference standard for all detailers. I have not seen anyone who gets close to you. Just bought you a coffee to show my appreciation.
Never have I seen anyone with such attention to detail and nothing less than absolute perfection in their work. Outstanding.

Jim, your patience is inspiring. The quality of work you produce is outstanding.
Great job Jim, and what a nice car. Takes me back, right back 1988 and being 17 cleaning next doors Escort xr3i in mercury grey for £10 and my mums flat black MG Metro Turbo!! Highest standard of detailing there is. incredible workmanship 👏🏼
To the individuals that 👎🏻 look at the level of work Jim does and the level of skill with film making then look at yourself in the mirror
Great Great Great. What else is there to say. Learning so much. Thank you for the opportunity to watch a master.
Much prefer to see the old cars getting detailed and the level of skill involved is so much higher than on the more modern paint
Great work and thanks for filming it
Amazing work on this little classic, had a 79 RS 2000 in my day. Wish I had that today. Thanks Jim.
Brought back memories for me. I done over 200k in mine over 13 years and I loved every mile. Nice work Jim.
Absolutely top notch Jim great work
We all love an RS Turbo 🙌🏻
Wow, Jim. Just wow. Incredible turnaround. I usually think that cars should be driven, but stick this one in a corner and leave it there.
Have to say, best detailer out there. Perfection!
I haven’t watched this yet cause it’s just gone up publicly but an hour of WD is gonna be superb 🤌🏻
Fantastic detail and so much TLC for this rare beauty. What a stunner now. Really great work.

Gorgeous job, I know it's an old video however when I'm tired of music at the shop I play your videos
To me, the best detailer on RUclips, you’re great Jim
Wow.. i just bought a 1987 Ford Escort 4 days ago. 1.6 liters and i finished polising it today!
This car held its looks for soo long, love her.
Brings back memories, had 2 of these. You could of taken out the bonnet vents to polish, just a couple of screws
Great work young man
This was my dream car 25 years ago lol. What truly amazing job you've done on it.. it was great to watch
Had one of these in Gunmetal Grey in the early 90ies. Great trip down memory lane watching this, amazing result Jim 😎
I had to come see again the show off part of this vehicle... Stunning!!
Great to see a true master at work. What a result.
The 214,000 mile Vogue white detail was my favourite video of yours. Until this. The finished article is a thing of beauty. Another cracking job, Jim. Well done 👍
Huge soft spot for the Fast Fords of this era. I would love to see you wet sand something like that.
Fantastic Jim. That's quite a turnaround!
A blast from the past for me... had both series 1 and series 2. Jim you truly are a legend.
*so you had a MK3 rs turbo and a MK4 Rs turbo*
*Cleared that up for you*
Damn your good Jim,very rare to see someone take so much pride in there work and go the extra mile,a pleasure to watch at work👍
Brought back some memories this one with my dad owning an XR3i, absolutely incredible work Jim I was gobsmacked at the end result, top work 👍
My dad had an Escort xr3i in black with the red pinstripe unfortunately before I was born . My mother decided it would be fun to write it off and he got a rover 414i and an escort van when I was born 🤮

Roof gutters! who remembers those LOL ! cracking work on the front bumper fella
Fantastic job, well done 👏

Great job Jim, lovely classic car
Just like watching a surgeon at work. Incredible sir !!
Having owned a few of these through the 90s, I absolutely loved this episode.
Watching for a few years now and a lot of other channels. I have to say WD has to be the best in the UK. Incredibly work 👌.
That’s cleaner than the one I owned with 8k on the clock 29 yrs ago 😮 Great job 👌
Solid black is a true test of both patients and skills lol. nice work bud!!
Absolutely incredible. Owning and trying to maintain a flat black car, I fully appreciate the effort that goes into that. I still haven’t mastered the refining to the point if eliminating the haze sometimes. Probably need more pads. Great video 👍
What a fantastic job done... incredible turn round... well done
I don’t think they left the spray booth that good Jim 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I had a flat black Ford Sierra from -88. The paint got scratches if you just looked at it wrong. Great job! 👍

I had a XR3 for many years when i was a lot younger, also a 1600e Cortina. Really enjoyed both cars.

Oh man this car was best you could have in Brazil in the 90’s 🔥
