I absolutely love this film, it is THE film from my childhood When I first saw it in 1989 at the age of four! I was hooked! It was such a fun film, great music and carefree. What else do I love about it? Its success! Made on a meagre (by film production standards) $4.3 million, and then becoming a box office smash success earning back $300 million, an almost unheard of figure at the time! I'll never get bored watching Smokey and the Bandit! :)
Such great acting by all. It looks seems effortless, but all the little things in the writing and acting are next level. Everything from Burt's laugh to all the little things Enos says are classic, down the whining noise Enos makes in response to Burt wanting a faster car.
The warehouse scene was one of the worst parts of the movie. Why wouldn't the managers or owners be there? You don't just drive up and demand 400 cases of restricted distribution area Coors.
