It's not often I see a game that is genuinely so abhorrently terrible that it leaves me genuinely impressed. It's like you can physically feel the cold ketchup spaghetti code in Streatham Hill Stories. It starts as a dumpster fire and turns into an oil spill
I didn't know it was possible to make a game that buggy and janky.
I hadn't seen a game this awfully programmed outside a Joel stream save for the classic times of the bad Mario game maker game highlight videos out there. And honestly this probably even glitchier than most of those!
The most impressive part is that it not only runs, but is more or less stable. Like, it's not *stable*, but you'd expect something that poorly made to just hard crash constantly.
It genuinelly looks like the dev reached pre-alpha 0.0.5 and said "good enough, ship it!"
Its so bad it feels like it's on purpose. It's horribly coded and animated, but at the same time stable enough not to crash every 10 seconds. It's truly the game of all times.
I was watching this on a phone at an awkward angle and at one point the screen rotated 180° without me noticing. I genuinely thought the game just did that and Vinny was too dead inside to care so I just went with it for a few minutes.

Streatham Hill Stories was an acid trip. I don't think I've ever seen a game that bad. And the trailer trying to hype it up with the TTS voice was peak comedy.

iirc Xavier Renegade Angel was animated with PS2 technology. So it is more than likely that at least one game on the PS2 has the same graphics as the show

Shovelware GTA games have a unique "so terrible its hilarious" aspect to them.
What I'm even more shocked about is how much they legit steal from the actual GTA games, down to font and sound effects, and somehow don't get their games taken down on Steam or haunted by the lawyers of Rockstar. I guess they have other meat to go after.
It's not even like it's a mod overhaul like those bootleg CDs sold in some stores, it's a completely different engine and they deliberately chose to make the main menu resemble san andreas for no reason.
Rockstar doesn't get lawyers involved unless someone is modding their cash cow, GTA5
Rockstar and Take Two only care about people making free mods of 10 year old games. Those are the real criminals.
They have more important things to worry about, such as people patching their games to make them playable.
I don't think R*/T2 owns the Beckett font and they get their sound effects from a soundpack.

Man that first one was insane. I feel like it would take much more effort to create something that bad than it would to create something half decent.. or at least playable.
I'm genuinely baffled that first game has managed to survive on Steam for 3 years. Like, not only did it steal assets from GTA, every single storefront is a photo of a real place with some big names like Lycamobile and Domino's on there - you'd think out of all these hundreds of brands SOMEBODY would get their ears in a tangle and send a takedown claim.

The first game is like gluing together a bunch of cloth and rubber into the shape of a shoe and calling it a Nike sneaker. But ignoring to take off the excess glue, or adding more glue where it's coming apart...
And then selling it in a Footlocker.
That trailer was a TAS run just to perform simple tasks with the least amount of fuckups, like precision inputs for getting into a car without it flipping over and you transferring into the out of bounds netherworld
They played Big Rigs and decided to make a GTA mod for it

The music on the loading screen is Solace by CjayQ if anyone is wondering. Only positive in the game, which is probably stolen without permission.

The first one is 100% a bitcoin miner, it asks you to keep both windows open so one can mine bitcoin. Also look at its steam system requirements, there is no way this game needs a computer with 8gb ram and at least a ryzen 5
It's probably not, first, it was made in 2015. It's way more likely that they couldn't have the menus and the game in the same code because of their incompetence

There's one more GTA clone, it's called Lego City Undercover. Except it's better than GTA V.

I watched Wicked Wizard play Streatham a few months back. Seeing Vinny play this masterpiece made my night. I hope he looks into the engine it was made on because it’s some hilarious royalty free early 2000s game maker.

Funnily enough, a good GTA clone set in England already exists... it's called The Getaway (or if you want to go even more retro, there's the London 1969 and 1961 expansion packs for the very first GTA!) (ALSO: that trailer for Sweety Streets Auto or whatever the UK GTA knock off was called has worse fucking glare than Need For Speed: Undercover)

Ha ha, it's not bad, just very chaotic. What sucks is balancing issues, game breaking exploits and glitches that are often abused, but besides that it's pretty damn fun.
I wouldn't be surprised if Rockstar added a fully playable gta clone within gta 6 just to address the sheer ridiculousness of this specific genre of copy-paste games
