This audio gives me a very vivid image of me and some guy shooting the shit, probably downing a few Colas in front of Goodneighbor's entrance and just, talking while everything goes.

"after three months traveling
on foot through the countryside
I came to a city called Goodneighbor
it may have been good city at one time
but it apparently hasn't seen a good
time lately,I found a hotel on a not so
busy alley the clerk reading the evening newspaper
just says $5.00,I wasn't gonna argue I was
tired and I didn't want to be on the streets
at night it wasn't pretty at day,but at it night
it might be a different story....
the loud noise from the city of Goodneighbor
was the usual loud engines,car horns,trains,& sirens,
the hotel room was small and while it wasn't
fancy it was rather clean and tidy,
as night was oncoming I decided to
go find a place to eat before it got dark
outside,the clerk said the store on the corner
was open all night,so I went there a few people out
and about,not scary looking but then again not very
trustworthy looking either,I got a deli sub,some chips,
a candy bar and a soda,I then hurried back to the hotel
and the clerk still reading the paper,there were some people
in the hotel but I didn't want to waste time getting back
to the room,once I did I locked the door and I sit down
next to the bed and ate my food....
after I finished eating I sit by the window looking out
at what I could see of the city,now dark outside,
the street lamps shining over the road,
a taxi,a bus and a few other vehicles passing by
a couple people walking by,walking home from
work maybe....
the buildings across the street a few lights on
I see people in their apartments sitting watching tv,
the night sky filled with a mixture of clouds and smoke
I grow drowsy and I lay down and go to sleep,
the noises from outside echo out into the night
I drift off to sleep....
before I know it morning is here and i get up,
freshen up and gather my things and I'm ready
to leave, the clerk sitting behind the counter
reading the morning newspaper and drinking coffee,
I say I'm leaving,he says come back soon,I probably won't
I go the corner store get some coffee and then I leave
I meet a few morning commuters on their way to work
and I smile as I pass them,Goodneighbor seems to be
an okay town from what I've seen which isn't much,
but I keep walking until i reach the interstate and the sign
says your leaving Goodneighbor....
as I was looking back the small city didn't look that bad,
maybe I'll be back but my journey is ahead of me
wherever that may lead,the next sign says the name
of the next city down the road is Quietville,
so i continue on to the next town and after that onward,
so i say to all travelers like me,take care,have a peaceful
journey and most of all God Bless you."-🤠..
