I liked that they had this in the game. It gave you an idea of all the surrounding chaos in the beginning. Also later on in the game where everything just went silent it really drove home that this has become a dead city.
Yeah there needed to be more time spent in the streets as shit was falling apart, people being killed in the background, maybe cops and UBCS being overrun in places you could see but not get too
@@MikeJones-qn1gz yesss the chaos of the struggle ended too quickly for me, I would’ve enjoyed seeing barricades and stuff being built only to see the same people get eaten anyway
@@animatedink2529 I do too, I just wish we could see raccoon city before the outbreak and what it’s like as the chaos began to start and slowly became what we saw in the remakes. I feel like if they ever decided to do something like that the best bet would be an outbreak remake
Hearing overwhelming panic in the distance isn't that suspenseful to me. It was miles better in the original, simply because the first intro, gives you a true insight to how messed up the situation was. The undead taking over the city, and the authorities losing to them. It set the mood for the actual gameplay part of the game. You basically get first hand experience, of what the aftermath was. Traversing through the lifeless city, everything has gone quieter, and the only existence is the echoing cries from the undead, and likely the very bare minimum number of civilians are alive.
@@BloodyBrawler92 idk. I enjoyed the ambience in the earlier game but it was confusing to me. If this was supposed to be during the outbreak then it should have sounded more like the remake did. Then later in the game to the way it ended up sounding. I guess they realized their mistake in the remake
@@598bryce That's because they didn't remake it the right way. They changed stuff, and that includes how the intro played out. For example, in the intro, you leave the apartment due to an explosion. In the shitmake, Nemesis chases you through the building. They just put these bullshit changes in, and pass it off as no big deal.
They might be air raid/tornado sirens that are commonly used to warn of disasters that are coming. Hopefully to get people to shelter or to evacuate. By the sounds of all the gunshots, they weren't employed early enough.

Pretty nice to hear gunshots, vehicles, sirens, and announcers speaking. Gives you hope that not everyones dead yet
Let's hope that even a modicum of them made it to the sewers and out safely..
I know there had to be at least a handful of survivors in cannon.

The reason it doesn't sound as dreadful yet more hectic than the original is because it's still pretty early into the epidemic.
The remake doesn't chance the time the game is set in. This ambience simply isn't as good as the original.

True
the moanigs of the undead are missing in the remake ,gunshots sirens are cool also but the moarings where freaking scary in the 90s
thats because the city has not fallen entirely.
That's because not everyone is Dead yet
well, this is strange and interesting at the same time

Try to mess with the settings
It's because REmake 3 tried to be more realistic, while OG RE3 was more driven by horror, the same horror as it predecessors
Re3 is set during the fall of Raccoon city though. The sounds you hear here are more realistic than the original re3
