CocoaThunder32 yeah I saw that when I looked up the production credits. And it’s even harder hitting because the last line he says on the album is “my uncle Hugh” and also not to be too literal but I think he was just a really good friend of earls dad
glad to see someone liked it as much as me, great video bro. album was better than i could've expected, and it keeps getting better the more I listen. pure poetry. earl did most of the production too which is crazy. looking forward to more reactions! also definitely listen to the whole thing without stopping, i've had the whole album on repeat and it just keeps going. each song loops, and the whole album loops too. only gets better with time. earl is my favorite artist of all time and it's cool to see someone who follows him just as closely
trysmo I’m glad you enjoyed the vid! And yes this album has been on repeat ever since it came out and it’s only getting better. I have heard that each song loops into itself so I still have to try check that out. Thanks for watching!
Check out the artist that Earl references throughout such as; one of the producers on Nowhere2go Adé Hakim(aka Sixpress) the album On To Better Things and MIKE, just go to his Bandcamp "mikelikesrap" (his whole catalog is the truth) . You'll definitely here the influence they've all had on each others music.
I thought this album was interesting though in some ways abrasive and hard to grasp at first listen. But I understood that it held a lot of artistic value and emotional potency. And the more and more I listened to it, the more I fell in love with this album. There are not a lot of albums out there that sound better and more fresh with each listen like this. Easy 10/10 for me. Helped me through some really dark times.
I rolled a fat joint rushed over N bought hard copy @ Best Buy or somethin, super let down to be honest. Sounded lazily mastered, spent more than half the album tryna hear what he was saying. Crappy quality compared to I Don’t Like ShIt, maybe he comes proper next album but he’s seeming pretty washed up at this point. Doesn’t seem like his heart is in it anymore idk I could be wrong 🤷♂️
Riot! Was a song mostly made by his uncle who died a few weeks after his dad. Earl added a bit to it, but it's mostly made by his uncle.
