When I moved to the Czech Republic, six years agon, I learned that you might find a carp in the bathtub before Christmas. This was because fried carp is the national Christmas dinner. In the week or so before Christmas, you find these stalls all over the city with men selling live carp from giant plastic water tubs. They will let you take them alive, or they will kill them and clean them for you on the spot. :)
Hungarian here. Dear goodness, quite a good amount of nostalgia in these videos. :) The home made liver pate, my grandmother still makes it to this day. :D We also used the bathtub to keep and feed the turkey which my parents/grandparents bought for every single Christmas. xD Also Happy Easter Barbara !!!

I’ve lived in the US most of my life, but I’m Ukrainian. I can relate to many, but not all, of those. Maybe my mom could relate to them more, since she grew up in the Soviet Union. It’s funny, I thought I had a bunch of medicine in my house because my mom’s a pharmacist, but I guess all the other Slavs have that, as well, even without pharmacist parents!
I love those kitchens❤️ American kitchens are built for utility, but are not very warm and homey. They aren't really places for families to spend time together comfortably.
Also good lord, if an Eastern European woman ever locked eyes with me with that cold expression, damn mami how you using pure ice to melt my heart 😍😍😍 😂
Well, it's a good thing I'm on a special diet. If it gives me acid reflex, i don't eat it. I've done enough food journals. For most of every type of food you talked about, i will never eat. Whole grain and wheat sucks. White bread only. I like french bread a lot. Maybe i should say i have ulcerative colitis. I was watching some clips from the movie Venom the other day, and i must say tator tots and Chocolate sounded delicious. Personally, i don't care what the kitchen looks like as long as it works. Gas preferably. Plus, i spend most of my time in the kitchen sitting at the table. You know, i wanna be there when i get hungry. I don't eat at the table, mind you, you can't. It's usually cluttered with books and paper with numbers and notes that won't make any sense to you. Maybe just the song "lyrics i look up." Simply asking me what I'm doing will get "nothing" as a response, and i might act like you're rudely interrupting a conversation I'm in the middle of. So when I say nothing, i really mean i lost my train of thought or reason, if i had any that is. That reminds me of Poe songs, "if you could jack into my brain, you'd know exactly what you mean here." Hello, hello, are you out there. Anyhoo, I'm a bit wordy, so I'll go. Peace and Ahev
brutalist geometric minimalist architectural style.... best SCIFI style in the world, also the commy art, mosaics, sculptures....everything is so nice... too bad we lost it.
I don't think it applies only to Eastern Europeans. Europeans in general are more grumpy. No service culture here. More smiles will not bring more sales.

that was a lot of poppy seeds....... you ain't passing that piss test tomorrow
Those gloomy wintry buildings starred in the movie Let The Right One In. Respekt.
the chicken liver patte thing is german 100% Aasace-lorraine and bavarian......my grandparents made that all the time for every holiday....i could eat 3-4 ritz crackers worth of it...mostly for the pickle and chives taste but yeah....nothing more than that. my uncles would eat it like they were starving. i remember the first time i had it i thought it was cake frosting and piled a 2-3 finger deep cracker in the stuff....that first bite NOPE NOT FROSTING!😅
I finally figured out what you kind of remind me of...Nadja of Antipaxos :D :D
Gibanica in potica rulez! Živeli gibanica in potica!
Amen
The only cursed thing about that pasta dish was that they were using the wrong kind of pasta. You're supposed to make it with tagliatelle.
I was raised in Australia with a Polish father. Do you also have the "only a simpleton will smile for no reason" thing?

I’ve lived in the US most of my life, but I’m Ukrainian. I can relate to many, but not all, of those. Maybe my mom could relate to them more, since she grew up in the Soviet Union. It’s funny, I thought I had a bunch of medicine in my house because my mom’s a pharmacist, but I guess all the other Slavs have that, as well, even without pharmacist parents!
Roots never leave you ❤
I love those kitchens❤️ American kitchens are built for utility, but are not very warm and homey. They aren't really places for families to spend time together comfortably.
Now I need slivovitz and burek.
Informative.
And I agree about your comment about our bread. It's terrible.
And yes, you look lovely. Just sayin'.
Also good lord, if an Eastern European woman ever locked eyes with me with that cold expression, damn mami how you using pure ice to melt my heart 😍😍😍 😂
Wonderful!!
you are bueatiful !
Do people think you look cold and dead? As a slovenian I didn't even register that 😂
Well, it's a good thing I'm on a special diet.

I swear to goodness, I don't even care anymore, she is such a gorgeous woman
Прикольная. Странноватая, но прикольная.

Oberkrainer glasba is Slovenian! ❤️🇸🇮
Chicken liver pasta? Just say kurja pašteta :D
Argeta 🎉
Dutch man here, i pay for everything on my birthday, as do all my friends and family on their's.
Eastern Europe is just so many countries included thing. Armenia and Georgia technically are in here. Austria as well. Belarus. So vague:)
2:10 I understood
I don't think it applies only to Eastern Europeans. Europeans in general are more grumpy. No service culture here. More smiles will not bring more sales.
