Metal Detecting in the rain isn't much fun but it was made bearable yesterday because two very significant & ancient discoveries were unearthed, one by Alan, who you can see pictured and the other later on by shirley, both rare and amazing to see come out of the ground, please enjoy this latest unearthed detecting TV film, more of this to come this following season.
Well done to all the finders. You never disappoint as a team. Gold,silver, and artefact coming up left right and centre. Thanks, Graeme, for putting this day of fantastic finds together. You and the team are amazing .

Lots of silver, quite a few William III coins, which is strange because I found one too.
Well done folks for sticking it out in the weather.
I always like to pick a favourite find, and today it's the enamelled Roman Brooch. Lovely enamelling remains

was a difficult day for all the rain just wouldn't give up till late afternoon my gear was muddy and drenched it taught me a lesson to make sure i have the right attire in future well done on the gold and the lead finds and all the silvers

Beautiful lead ‘Hornbook’ which may well be as early as the 17th century. Such a shame you’ve lost access to that field.

Some very interesting finds coming up. I’ve never had a commonwealth coin before. The anchor is right up my street probably Victorian.. as for the gold well that’s special. Cheers ears 😮

The Gold Pendant looks Bronze age to me quite simple design and seen some history, I wonder if the gold came from the lake District or Wales as these areas do produce eluvial gold!
Something tells me it's irish, but I could be wrong
