I love EVERYTHING about it but the graphics. Just like he said, it feels like it was made in some sort of Mario Kart Maker. Although the look of the actual ROAD itself is the greatest in the series.
Agree with pretty much every take, problem is the point system. WiiU RR does not deserve 5 pts for Shorcuts, its just the least worst in this category. If you compare N64 music to every other 95 tracks, it will still be a 5/5. Compare WiiU RR shortcut to all other tracks, it will be a 1/5, 2 if you like that much that shortcut. Great vid that said, t’was fun watching !
@@pelkariya6660 completely agreed. The quality of the rainbow roads compared to other courses cannot be overstated. Additionally, obviously music, while important, is obv nowhere as important a category as the entire layout of a track, despite being weighted the same. Just wanted to add different categories as I thought it worked well for video pacing :) glad you enjoyed
In my opinion, Wii Rainbow Road is my most favorite one. It has a god tier soundtrack, super complex but fun layout, and overall looks absolutely stunning! :D Also cause I grew up with MKWii loll
My list: 1: Wii- I love it, so much fun. It really does what a rainbow road should do- challenge you, it’s super long and it’s overall an amazing course 2. 3ds- Fun planet theming, but it’s a bit short honestly. Rainbow roads should be long. 3: N64- It’s way too short and easy, 2 laps would be better. But the music hits hard with its vibe, and the city underneath is beautiful. Not much going on however. 4: Mk8- I like the planet theming and the path switch, and it’s hard too. A solid track 5: SNES- a fine track that’s fun to drive on with all the chaos going on. But it’s still an SNES, so what do you expect?
I would agree with you, but I also feel it lost some magic when they ported it over to mk8dx. They made very slight changes that just make it a little worse than the original.
@@syedshah9029 they changed some visuals, as well. Small changes, but enough to make an impact, especially on the last lap. There's a moment in particular where you're racing with the sun in view. It gives you a grasp of the scale of the track, a scale of the adventure you're embarking on. You don't see the sun like that in the last lap anymore. Also, this time, the sun is hyper realistic, in the 3ds it had a radiant charm to it. The little things like that matter and they all add up. Colors in the map are more dull and realistic, too, not counting the actual rainbow track you're driving on, which looks great. Some tracks they bring back from the past really need complete overhauls. This track didn't need any changing, just make it HD and that's it, stop tinkering with things that aren't broken
Layout: obv 3DS is best Graphics: 3DS Music: either 3DS or n64 Creativity: SNES, it’s pure technicality is unmatched Vibe: SNES, it’s so fun to play! Having people competing for the very inside of turns, fighting to get in the pervious Thwomp cycle, etc
1) Wii Rainbow Road 2) Wii U Rainbow Road 3) 3DS Rainbow Road 4) SNES Rainbow road 5) N64 Rainbow Road Wii's Rainbow Road imo is the textbook definition of what a RR should be, it's perfect. The difficulty, the vibes, the music, the amazing graphics and track layout. I agree that Wii U RR is slept on a lot, it's really fun and I like the style of a more tech-based road. I've never bought into the 3DS RR hype, I think it's a great track but too many people praise the section layout without stopping to think what they're actually doing on each section. There's very little difficulty and the I don't really like how flat the track feels, there's not much elevation compared to the others. It's still a fun time though and has more gameplay elements than SNES and N64's.
WiiBow is definitely the best Rainbow Road. Not only is it an all anti gravity track, but also a speed based track as well for those who use a speed combo that is. I actually have a clip on my Switch of me outrunning both a red and blue shell on 200cc on the final lap all the way to the finish line, with the help of the many boost panels of course. 😆
I like mk8dx Wii rainbow music I feel like they did amazing good to make it sound faithful to the original as possible while add more depth into the music making it feel more alive then empty and half dead like in the Wii while still sounding upbeat
What i thinking about Top 1 classic Rainbow road From Mario kart 8 and Mario kart 8 deluxe Top 2 Mario kart WII Rainbow road And Top 3 Mario kart 7 Rainbow road
Based on your categories my order is 1. Wii U 2. Wii 3. SNES 4. 3DS 5. N64 But my personal ranking 1. SNES 2. Wii 3. 3DS 4. Wii U 5. N64 The SNES one being small with tight lanes and fast turns makes for a lot of fun chaos where anything can happen and anyone can win and I love that.
Mario Kart 8's Rainbow Road is the worst graphically. The road itself isn't as vibrant as the others in the game. And 3DS Rainbow Road definitely shouldn't be last. In my opinion, it's third place.

Baby Park is scarier than any rainbow road ever.
lol😂
True, I can't count the number of times that I was on the last lap in first and lost because someone in like 10th hit me with a star
Cause you have to bag

3DS RAINBOW ROAD SUPREMACY!!
YES
It’s so good
I love EVERYTHING about it but the graphics. Just like he said, it feels like it was made in some sort of Mario Kart Maker. Although the look of the actual ROAD itself is the greatest in the series.
Do the same thing with other courses like Bowser’s Castles and Mario Circuits
Inexplicably, Mario Kart 8 only has two Bowser Castles- although Grumble Volcano's inclusion has methink it's an "honorary Bowser Castle".
Well, can’t he just do all Mario Kart games

Wii Rainbow Road is truly the best. It has been the one many of us have been expecting to return and Nintendo has truly fulfilled our expectations!
Wii Rainbow Road is second best, only behind 7’s.

Anyone who’s anyone knows it’s the Mario Kart 7 Rainbow Road.
It's fun but it's the most overrated Rainbow Road, Wii and even Wii U do a better job imo.

The movie Rainbow Road is the best.
Genuinely hope the next one is an adaptation of it.
There should be a rainbow cup with every rainbow road on it
The dlc ones easily blow the other three out of the water.
Snes rainbow is dlc too…
@PaulRodela I guess you're right but it isn't dlc on the switch. Besides, that one's my third favorite.
There’s a shortcut on 3ds rainbow road before the moon there’s 2 boost panels and if you go of the track towards the moon you’ll get the shortcut
MK8DX laying its feet on MKWii's legacy...👀
Wii rainbow road is the best!

@@Guyofscience Nostalgia is probably a big reason why I think it's the best.

3ds rainbow road looks like candy and I absolutely love it
Just one question have you seen the 200cc shortcut on 3ds rainbow road (2nd part)
N64 rainbow road should've been a 2 lap track, with new character's fireworks on the last lap
While the wii rainbow road is also incredibly iconic, the 3ds rainbow road is my favourite one
