- In this video i am replacing the Fan and Heatsink in a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga
also during this i am also replacing the thermal paste, the orginal reason for the fan to be replaced was due to failing bearing in it

i would contact some local computer stores and see if they can help source parts, otherwise i would be looking on Aliexpress and seeing what you can find
deepcool z5 thermal paste would be fine

Why you not apply termal paste to second chip?
not sure actually, usually i would do that, the smaller chip i believe is the igpu.
7:30 i think the copper on the cooler didnt actually reach that it, if you look at the time stamp the cooper is sunk in, so even if i put paste on there it wont touch

The air is a good insulator.
I think a thicker layer of paste would be better than nothing.
where did you buy the fan? checked ebay, could not find exactly the same fan
purchased from aliexpress
go to lenovo warranty page, once it tells you your warranty expired there is spare parts e-shop.

Dirt will increase the chance of fan failure
