I'm in my 50's and I'm pretty confident this is the last great band to appear in my lifetime. You kids are witnessing something very special. Rare magic, soak it up.
These guy's are one of the best bands out there now. Consistent, high energy, and able to keep their sound fresh. They obviously hold classic rock and roll in high regard and are amazing at taking those old sounds and making them their own. They are simply brilliant.
Using backing tracks for a good chunk of the vocals and the instrumentals lol This is almost a joke... Real bands dont do this....You can clealry see him not even moving his mouth at times but perfect vocals?
I love how shit Matt is at singing In One Ear nowadays. Over time when they’ve prioritised it less, he’s become much worse at singing it and when he performs it he hardly finishes half of the lines from running out of breath. But he still performs it with such energy and charisma that it still manages to sound amazing even with him half screaming, half gasping for air. He’s putting his happiness and enjoyment of dancing around the stage before the singing and that rubs off on the crowd so well. There’s not a single person there that isn’t enjoying themselves. I love how at one point he even screams out “IM JUST HAVING FUN WITH IT!”. Don’t get me wrong, his talent is undeniable and he’s an amazing vocalist. Some of the songs on here sound beautiful. I just think he’s amazing at making the choice to give more energy on in one ear over the critical perfection of his singing. Love them so much xxx
Matt is a seriously good vocalist nowadays but I do agree his live performance can be really bad in terms of singing, that said his energy is nuts on stage, I prefer sound in the end but still love that man
was going to see them in madrid at mad cool festival 2020 but couldn't wait so I saw them first in feburary in Birmingham then the festival got cancelled because of covid, so I'm happy i got the chance to see them at least once that year

I’ll never forget seeing these guys open for the Black Keys in DC back in ‘14. I liked Melophobia but after I saw them live I was awe struck. I remember thinking “this frontman puts on one hell of a show.”
Loved Cage the Elephant! Watched their show at Osheaga in Montreal. My only complaint is it was hard to hear the great vocals of Matt Shultz... I found the effect he had on his mic was becoming drowned out by the music... Still great though.
I am giving a big applause to the guitarist, drummer, and other people in Matt's shadow. And Matt, of course, is great but the other people on stage don't get as much credit as Matt does.
Don't get me wrong, he is putting out incredible energy and is a great performer, but it has a strange effect. I watched some of their old live shows and it's just him live and it is a totally different vibe.
ryan leone if they didn't, he wouldn't have a voice left. all the touring they do a show every other night there's no way his vocals could last that's what Mathon and the pipe tracks are for personally I seen them in 2014 and I footage of it but that's beside the point I would rather see them then not see them and if that's what it takes that's what it takes I went and seen them at the unpeeled concert and was very close to the stage, I can assure you he sung every single word his self but that was at the unpeeled show
After watching a bunch of other videos, I now realize it is the keyboard player singing along with him. It's confusing because he's not singing back up vocals, but more like a doubling effect. They also sound so similar, but I have no problem with it and think they sound incredible and would love to see them live.
Backing vocals from talented keyboard player, their vocals blend very well and give a special effect It Gives Matt also more freedom for his performance
Talented Keyboardguy is doing normal backing vocals, Matt live is All about transferring the feeling and energy of his songs With the Unique performance, mimics/dancing/acting, singing different with lots of accents paired With facial expressions Matt is a great vocalist but this is how They do it live and what makes them unique
Chris Wilson probably for better sound. He def isn’t 100 percent lip singing, but the backing makes for a better sound, even if it isn’t completely raw.
? This is Pure live rock n roll here at its best.. Transferring the feeling of each (good) song With an energetic, emotional and artful performance, Very Unique. Live is live these guys gave one of the best live performances we’ve ever witnessed

They're even better live 💛💛💛
Agreed! But also modest mouse is great as well.
Stop it, you are still very young and you will still meet a lot of bands, but CTE is really insane
King gizzard and the lizard wizard!!!
Revisiting this 6 years later, still one of the best shows ive ever been to in my life
Man i was at the rhcp concert at what stage during this i wish i could have seen both
such a rolling stones vibes....
He totally looks like a young Mick Jagger
@Jan Kubát I Wish i could go to one of these live concerts
His energy level is that of a young Iggy Pop and his vibe is totally a young Mick Jagger!! The greatest frontman of our time!!
Yeah, maybe Stones 1978. Since then they have sucked live. Cage blows away the Stones.
Not even close to the Stones lol
Does anyone else love the way Bradley plays the guitar? All hunched over like that just bobbing to the rhythm and having a good time
SupaSonikx Now that's how you jam the fuck out while playing a guitar.
I love this band and my names Bradley lol

@@chriswilson1968 true. Their live performances are worst

He's a performer, not a singer. Go see a show live.
They have went to hell....well the band hasn't Matt has
Matt is a seriously good vocalist nowadays but I do agree his live performance can be really bad in terms of singing, that said his energy is nuts on stage, I prefer sound in the end but still love that man
@@tcoker0416 he’s a performer and singer, but is very hard make the both in the same time with quality, almost impossible
these guys are so awesome live.......everyone should go see them if you have the chance
Glenacus I did and now I am a fan.
I’m
Doing that today
Seeing them today!
just bought tickets for london in three weeks...
was going to see them in madrid at mad cool festival 2020

I miss 2017
My all time favorite show of their's. I just keep coming back to it and it delivers the energy every time
Thanks for not ruining this upload with disgusting commercials. CTE is truly fantastic.
Legendary
Total rock n roll revival
They’re backkk
Saw these guys play with The Black Keys in 2011. Glad to see they still play with all the gusto they did six years ago.
What i would do to see In One Ear live. This looks awesome!
best live performance i have ever seen. The video doesn't do it justice!
in one ear is one of the best songs ever
I’ll never forget seeing these guys open for the Black Keys in DC back in ‘14. I liked Melophobia but after I saw them live I was awe struck. I remember thinking “this frontman puts on one hell of a show.”
Their stage presence reminds me of Rolling Stones combined with Rage Against The Machine for some reason
I was there. What an incredible performance
Legendary..
Wow.. as much as I love all the greats. These guys kinda blow them out of the water.
I wonder where did he get his never ending energy
Drugs
pedroantonioME I wonder what kind? 🤔 I want to try one 😂
Victimized Idiot believe me, I want too
Ccccccccocaine
Stimulants
Wish they mixed Matthan lower so you could actually hear Matt
Jake Connelly for some reason the mix is weird in this video. When they played live Matt was much louder
I wish I had that kinda energy...Amazing show.
Take us there CTE!! Can;t sit still listening to this band! Yeah you made it!Peace
So many amazing performances and they still came out on top for me
Cuanto tenemos que esperar para que vengan a Colombia. 🤩
I laughed every time he said Bonnaroo. Great energy and performance, Roo 17' was a crazy time.
holy shit!!! that teeth performance was fuckin insane
I didn't know this was a thing! I'm so happy, because today I found my friends!
this was such a great show
I was so stupid for missing this show......
Love these guys! I am dying to see them live!
Fucking amazing concert. They are on my must see live list.
brilliant always a winner live x
I just once to see them live.
Great stuff
Brad coming through the crowd like Jim Morrison at the start
Bah esses caras depois do OÁSIS QUE FOI A ÚLTIMA BANDA DE ROCK.
CAGE THE ELEPHANTS É DU CARALHO, OS CARA TEM A VIBE.
Who else loves the song trouble?
Oh shit, is that a cordless mic?!
matt shultz is my spitit animal
Saw them front row at Forecastle and I was way in the back at Bonnaroo. The bonnaroo set was crazier.
so so amazing thanks
6:06 man smoking a blunt
i just saw CTE last night in mobile and they were AWESOME! and the crowd was SO respectful and fun!!!!
everyone had an awesome time!!!
Sim eu tô imaginado que o Harry e o Louis de The Hamptons foram nesse show
i dont remember them playing half these songs
deadrise120 you were high asf
Ethan Escamilla lmao
Extra baked
I may not always be nice but I am always true.
wish I could move like that!! Amazing concert! Thanks for posting it.
I give him my energy.
Ever notice that the cameras never once showed drummer and rarely ever does in recent years?
I wish I could have been there! 😚😚😚😚😚😚😚😚😚😚😚😚
Nobody body rolls like Matt
the keyboard/ guitar player on stage left is singing also. hah he prances on his tipetoes a bit much.
Wish i could see their live
he reminds me to Johnny Rotten
Uh...no In One Ear scream?
Do you still have Glass Animal’s Bonnaroo performance from 2017?
Loved Cage the Elephant! Watched their show at Osheaga in Montreal. My only complaint is it was hard to hear the great vocals of Matt Shultz... I found the effect he had on his mic was becoming drowned out by the music... Still great though.
Hurup back to mempho pleeezzz
If you like Cage The Elephant, check out Joe Jenneman!
8:20 doll head??

MUSICAS LINDAS. ABRAÇO,

Same!

I am giving a big applause to the guitarist, drummer, and other people in Matt's shadow. And Matt, of course, is great but the other people on stage don't get as much credit as Matt does.
What's your guys' favorite Cage song?
Jesus Christ cigarette and daydream
Sweetie Little Jean, Cold Cold Cold, In One Ear, or Too Late to Say Goodbye (I can't decide).
Bohemian Rhapsody.
Didn't know the brazillian president had a festival 😡
Nothing like your guitar breaking 30 seconds into your set
How does his voice still sound like they're using double tracking live? Can't see any of the other members singing.
Keyboard guy, their voices blend very well and give a special effect
DROP DEAD FRED IS ALIVE
. . . is that suit from holy motors
Baby cry
He is definitely singing to his own piped in vocal track.

They also sound so similar, but I have no problem with it and think they sound incredible and would love to see them live.
I played with them and you are correct.
I can assure you that EVERYTHING on that stage is live. There are NO TRACKS used
Is he lip syncing? Or is it just a vocal effect on his mic?
Backing vocals from talented keyboard player, their vocals blend very well and give a special effect
It Gives Matt also more freedom for his performance
What stage was this?
yeah I'm the asshole.
are the lumineers the lumiqueers?
they gay or nah fam....
Did Matt put the mic in his pants....... I mean...... whatever......... I just feel bad for whoever got the mic after he did
I love this band's music but they only sound good live if it's stripped down. I feel like the singer is trying to sing over the band here.
Considering the second singer is almost just as loud as matt I'd say this untrue
Oh I get it! They are both singing over the band 😂 . I guess they suck even more live than I had initially understood.
Nah I think he just gets really into it and just kinda yells instead of sings idk, I still think it’d be great to see them live, A LOT of energy lol.
52:17 playback??
Talented Keyboardguy is doing normal backing vocals,
Matt live is All about transferring the feeling and energy of his songs With the Unique performance, mimics/dancing/acting, singing different with lots of accents paired With facial expressions
Matt is a great vocalist but this is how They do it live and what makes them unique
Is he lip syncing? The backing track is doing like 75% of the work lol half the instrumentals arent even being playing live, wtf?
Chris Wilson probably for better sound. He def isn’t 100 percent lip singing, but the backing makes for a better sound, even if it isn’t completely raw.
whos the puppet??? mathew dances on stage for profit.
just sayin.
You are the puppet.
They're much worse live than they are in the music videos.
Steven Maine Umm, no. Ever heard of the Grateful Dead? Yeah well they sounded even better live than they did in the studio.
John Smith *cough *cough nothing but thieves, highly suspect *cough
?
This is Pure live rock n roll here at its best..
Transferring the feeling of each (good) song With an energetic, emotional and artful performance,
Very Unique.
Live is live
these guys gave one of the best live performances we’ve ever witnessed
I don't see what people like about this band.
I do.
