Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for sharing the Cherry Tree blossoming in DC. I truely loved it and all the history which I did not really know. Very enjoyable and made me smile. I have been to DC several times but never during this time and really did not make much attention to them. Just glorious! Thank you😊
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thx for watching.

Pops...glad you were able to see Old Stumpy also...it was big news on tv a couple of weeks ago...loved watching this trip with you...Thanks for Sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I guess some have talked about moving the tree.
@@popshiking👍🏽Pops…they will be sending Old Stumpy to a lab…and said they will use it’s DNA to make more little Stumpies (my break down of the reporters words from the news) I hope to make Cherry Blossom season one day…see you on the next trip🙏🏽👋🏽
Nice! Would love to visit DC during the Sakura festival blooms 😀
That would be beautiful!
Love the history lesson, I truly learned something, thank you! Wonderful video, keep em comin!

Great history! Enjoyed it and learned a lot.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Thanks, POPS! Great video, & overview.. We have been fortunate to, visit The Tidal Basin( & SOME OF WASHINGTON DC ) several, times ( my first trip was Spring 1965 , with High School,”Senior Trip”)…etc..
Very cool! Yes it is a beautiful place especially at this time of year.
I wish I had you as my History teacher while I attended school. I learn more things while watching your video than what was taught in the classes that I took (during the Dinosaur days).
That is so kind of you! Thanks!
Thanks so much for sharing that information, I had no idea there was such an interesting history regarding those beautiful trees. I especially love the fac that Ms. Skidmore persisted for so many years and it finally paid off! Just goes to show that if you have a passion for something, don't give up!
Glad you enjoyed it! I am so glad she was so persistent. Imagine the joy she has brought to so many people!
That was great! Such an amazing place to explore during the bloom!
It really is!
The fact that RUclips actually suggested your video, made me so happy, Pops. Whenever my son and I are going to visit a place, he always like to learn a little bit of the history of the place. We’re planning on going to Washington DC for our birthday next year. Thank you for another great video! 🙌🏽
That is so awesome! Glad to be able to help out a bit.
I hope next year we can go to DC to see the cherry blossoms. They are gorgeous! We have studied Josh's Blue Ridge Parkway videos and are going to make that trip in October! We sure enjoy your videos. So fun!
Glad you enjoy the videos! That should be beautiful in October. Kind of a laid back drive. I love that part of the world. Thx for watching!
@popshiking me too! We went on our first New England Trip last year and because of your advice also went to Sleepy Hollow, Salem and Boston! You guys really helped us with planning our trip and it was EPIC! THANK YOU!
Unfortunately I heard Old Stumpy is being removed. I'm glad you included it in this video. The cherry blossoms are stunning to see. I haven't seen them in person before.
Yeah I heard that too. Not sure if they plan to try to move it or not. Perhaps they would take cuttings and start a new Stumpy.
@@popshiking oh that would be a great idea if they move forward with removing Stumpy. Let Stumpy keep living on for future generations!
