  • Every spring in Washington D.C., the city transforms into a wonderland of delicate pink and white as the cherry blossoms bloom. These ethereal flowers, gifted by Japan in 1912, line the Tidal Basin, creating a breathtaking panorama against the backdrop of iconic monuments. Crowds gather to witness their fleeting beauty. The cherry blossoms in Washington D.C. evoke a sense of wonder and joy, drawing visitors from around the world to marvel at nature's artistry.

Thank you so much for sharing the Cherry Tree blossoming in DC. I truely loved it and all the history which I did not really know. Very enjoyable and made me smile. I have been to DC several times but never during this time and really did not make much attention to them. Just glorious! Thank you😊

Thanks so much for sharing that information, I had no idea there was such an interesting history regarding those beautiful trees. I especially love the fac that Ms. Skidmore persisted for so many years and it finally paid off! Just goes to show that if you have a passion for something, don't give up!

The fact that RUclips actually suggested your video, made me so happy, Pops. Whenever my son and I are going to visit a place, he always like to learn a little bit of the history of the place. We’re planning on going to Washington DC for our birthday next year. Thank you for another great video! 🙌🏽

Unfortunately I heard Old Stumpy is being removed. I'm glad you included it in this video. The cherry blossoms are stunning to see. I haven't seen them in person before.

Yeah I heard that too. Not sure if they plan to try to move it or not. Perhaps they would take cuttings and start a new Stumpy.

@@popshiking oh that would be a great idea if they move forward with removing Stumpy. Let Stumpy keep living on for future generations!
