- 'Sister Wives' star Paedon Brown, Kody and Christine's son, made a series of allegations against his former stepmother, Meri,during a RUclips Live with John Yates on Wednesday. When Meri was described by a fan as 'abrasive and kind of mean,' Paedon replied, 'Abrasive and kind of mean are not strong enough words, they are not aggressive enough words.' He went on to allege, 'Meri was not nice.' ET has reached out to Meri and TLC for comment.

We couldn't get a better show than Sister Wives to show the world that polygamy never works and it is the children that always suffer.

Maddi lived in fear of Meri during her ENTIRE childhood. Paedon still speaks emotionally of the situation although he is grown and far removed from the situation.... He said Robyn SAVED THE KIDS LIVES. Nobody should ever have to live with that fear.
The kids are resilient but they should never have been exposed to such horrible situations.

If this is true then all the parents are to blame. with over a dozen kids in the house and either the parents didn’t know it and didn’t stop Meri from doing it all of you are to blame! You can’t point to one specific parent on this one
I guess Kody didn’t believe the other two moms until Robyn came in and convinced him how serious it was. But yeah, they owed it to the kids to leave meri.
The other 2 moms should have reported her or left the family. But the money and show were important

Everyone is talk about how terrible Mary was but I quite honestly feel bad for her. Christine exaggerates alll the time and and I think her son is too. There is a difference between getting a spanking and being abused…. They are not interchangeable.

I’m convinced that the divorce from Meri was NEVER Meri’s idea. Kody convinced her to put it that way so it would appear to the public to be Meri’s willing sacrifice and suggestion for the sake of Robyn’s kids.
But…
I’m not buying it.
This was ALL Kody’s idea to deepen his commitment to Robyn while quietly squeezing Meri out. He never forgave her for the catfish incident, even though he’s the one who created the emotional vacuum in Meri’s life which caused to to seek affirmation elsewhere.
Ever since then, she’s been sticking it out to get back in Kody’s good graces, but he’s only been using her for the sake of the TLC income. She’s been sticking around because she knows she can’t make it on her own.
I mean good, right? This changes everything. Kody squeezed out somebody who was actively going to merk a few of his kids via abu$3z. As much as a home wrecker Robyn is, she saved Paedon and Maddie’s lives. I’m glad meri was squeezed out, but I do think Kody should have officially left the child abu$3r rather than trying to ice her out to leave on her own. And your time line is off. Kody couldn’t have been holding a grudge for the catfish at the time of the divorce, because it hadn’t happened yet.

I think Kody quit loving meri because Robyn brought the child abuse of his kids to light. It sounds like it was really bad. That also shows why Robyn and Kody refused to let meri take their small kids to the B&B alone. Maybe? I don’t know but she always has a scowl on her face during the interviews and family time.

Also, how can Kody not have known but Robyn saw it on day one. Sounds like Meri is being the sacrificial lamb. She clearly went against Meri and Robyn so he’s out to destroy her reputation by bringing up her past abuse.
Let’s call a spade a spade. This was a woman who helped him get all three of his additional wives. Literally they all connected with Kody through Meri. She then watched as these women gave him child after child. When she could only have one.
She was jealous and she took it out on her Sister Wives and their children. Was it right . Absolutely not but I blame every adult for allowing her to continue to bully and abuse those children. They were all monsters.

Meri has now seperated from Kody, and now the Meri bashing begins and he is over praising Robyn. My thing is if Meri was verbally and physically abusive to Christine's children, I can't see Christine being the type of parent who would have put up with that at all.

She said for a long time that she felt like she didn’t have a voice, that she was a basement wife, that her kids “needs” came last. I think she felt helpless in the situation and regrets that she didn’t speak up for her children more. That’s why now she says she won’t have a relationship with Meri going forward.

Christine also said that Janelle was more interested in working. We saw Janelle not parent. She worked until 8pm and was gone before the kids woke up. So… I don’t know.
We saw that Meri had a great relationship with Christine’s younger kids and Christine wasn’t happy about it. It was suggested by Kody that Christine’s 2 daughters live with Meri when they lived in LV and the girls were happy about it. So… I don’t know.

She was pretty conniving and she guessed very wrongly that Kody would like her more IF she was young and took care of the kids. But, Kody was finding wives to ease Meri’s pain and depression around not being able to have more babies. So, I don’t think “the kids” should really be talking. I don’t think they can grasp the idea of depression and this was before infertility treatments and invitro. This is something that they couldn’t have afforded back then. Christine realized how much peace she had when they lived separately and then she got upset about Robyn and was unable to recover. Meri was Kody’s love match. He replaced her with Robyn. Everyone else was brought on to help Meri/Robin. So… yea. I think that’s not how someone should find wives.

That sinsister ploy of Meri's was successful in hurting Chrtistine - and 12 years later Ch and J leave.
Meanwhile, Meri had considered herself to be a master manipulator, yet was wildly outplayed by Robyn, who usurped all of Meri's power, and then left Meri in shambles.

Meris house was in the middle between Janelles and Christine's. Meri worked and Christine's wild undisciplined kids would go through her house to Janelles house, check out the fridge, help themselves etc. I'd be pissed too. Not sticking up for her just stating what Janelle said.

What got me with Meri was the tantrum she threw at her daughters graduation! I always suspected that Meri was difficult, and THAT sealed the deal for me! I’m NOT surprised about the allegations-but I think that Meri was TOTALLY InLove with Kody and she just couldn’t handle the other wives relationships with him. A lot of jealousy and bitterness attributed to her bad behavior. Very Sad actually!

John Yates the blogger thank you for a great interview😊I really believed she was one of the good loving moms ,what a shocker ,,, the interview was three hours long so good it didn’t feel like it was that long ,Got to watch if you haven’t already , Paedon has a little dad and a little mom personality .❤
I had always thought that Meri was one of the good moms as well. Although for the past few months I've been hearing stories of how she can really be. I will definitely be checking this interview out for sure.
It just all seems scripted at this point. Robyn somehow opened people’s eyes about Meri. I don’t believe that they all knew how Meri was.I know Meri had her ways about her but she sure divorced kody so robyn and her kids could benefit. Robyn would have never done the same for another wife. But let’s not see how Robyn was shown favoritism repeatedly over the other wives and never worked or did anything but ended up in a house bigger than Janelle who should have had the house robyn lived in. Robyn is just more sneaky and comes off kind but behind the scenes she is manipulative and knows exactly what she is doing.

Meri needed an ally in the family - hence Robyn. I don’t believe her divorcing Kody was altruistic. Robyn was indebted to Meri for “saving” her children. That’s what Meri needed to secure her position in the family.
I remember jenelle talking in therapy about how when they all lived together Meri wouldn’t let the kids use the staircase running through her apartment so the kids would need to go outside and all the way around if they wanted to go upstairs to Christine. This moment made me realise what a horrible mother and sister wife Meri is :/
didn’t they say in the early years of the show, the kids were unsupervised going into her apartment and things were broken, missing or moved around and left a mess when they went through her area?
Remember when she threw a fit about wanting the biggest house despite having only one child?
It's an even sadder situation when you realize that Padeon shared a room with his brothers on Janelle's side of thr Lehi house. That meant Paedon would have dinner and prayers with his mom and sisters, then bath and ready for bed, then bundle up and put on shoes to get to where he was sleeping.
Janelle knew it was a power move to inconvenience everyone. Meri played the victim card and said it was about privacy. If Kody were any kind of leader, he would have told Meri that the kids can quietly use the hallway she created with furniture between certain hours or she could take the bottom apartment.
It would seem that Kody was as afraid of Meri as Madison and Paedon.
@@AmethystEyes She saw the new favorite wife get the 7 bedroom house and there was no way Meri would settle for less. Just like she needed a huge house with a pool when they first got to Las Vegas, were spending Janelle's retirement and money was tight.
They all seemed to be operating under the agreement that Meri likes nice things and she will not be told no.
I think its important to put things in perspective and see different POV's.

Janelle, Meri and Kody all worked, Christine stayed home with the kids, but from what it appears Kody and Meri were more of the disciplinarians, but Meri was the parent that was actually strict and had boundaries in place with the kids

I remember an Episode were Gwendolyn and Ysebel went to spend the night with Meri.
Now, she was probably terrible to the older kids mainly the boys and Madison. I can’t see her being mean to Aspen (maybe Makelti) but I think Meri had her favorites. She praised Logan and she sat up front at his wedding.
Not giving Meri any grace but jealousy combined with frustration causes that type of behavior.
Janelle was at work. Christine doesn’t seem to be the type to discipline. I find it hard Kody didn’t know Meri was kicking ass in that house.

I call bs. Meri spent a whole episode making a bedroom for Robin's little girls at her house, and they were staying with her and one of the other littles (either Christine's or Janelle's girl in the same age range - they called them The Pixies because they were all close in age). If Robin had magically saved the older kids from abuse by Meri, I doubt she'd have allowed Meri to have the kids.

Sounds more like just giving recognition to something positive someone did. He wasn't like "Oh my God, Robyn's the best...." All he said was he would never hate her because she opened people's eyes. He did NOT say he liked her. There's a difference.

Idk I can see where she could definitely be “mean” or “abrasive”, but here’s the deal. If she truly physically abused any of those kids, and if Christine, for example knew about it and stayed, that’s messed up. Because Christine now says, Meri and her will not ever have a friendship, but she wishes her the best, etc. I can’t say I would be saying that about someone who was physically abusing my kids. So idk how much to believe about what he’s saying.
Sounds like a angry young man! I’m not convinced he knows what abuse is.?I can’t imagine the stress and pressure the adults were going through, publicly and privately. They’ve all said for a long time that they are entrepreneurs and they definitely know how to work social media. He’s not honest he’s woke. The woke generation has been brainwashed to believe their parents are mean and hateful people. He even dislikes some of his siblings. His childhood pics looks like he’s a loud mouth trouble maker I can’t believe if he was abuse that he would not open his mouth about it like he’s doing now. He’s smiling while he’s saying he’s abused. Abused kids do not smile while they are telling you they were extremely abused. Being intolerant of loud mouth trouble maker kids is not abusive. Having kids not running through your house all day long is not abuse. Yeh she might have been intolerant or even mean by using harsh words but thats normal parent behavior with some kids. Some kids can be a handful I mean look at janelle she never wanted to be around her kids all day long she even admitted it. She said she’d rather work then be at home with the kids.
