TLDR: 1. Zenyatta's primary role is to melt tanks from long range. "The Tank Fker". 2. Up until Master's level, always have Discord and Harmony on each team's respective tanks. That way each tank can play around it -the discord one in particular ruins the enemy tank's day. 3. Because Zen's Harmony orb doesn't do much healing quickly, it doesn't increase survivability of squishy allies much, since the number of bullets for them to be killed will be roughly the same regardless. Heal them when hurt of course, but otherwise keep it on tank. 4. Discord orb isn't just a damage debuff- it also increases the likelihood of an enemy getting focused by your team. Have it up! 5. Generally avoid switching targets for discord/harmony because there is downtime while the orb travels between targets. You want near 100% uptime on both if possible. 6. You should be using his right click 90% of the time - even when not seeing enemies. Blind M2 spam can kill enemy squishies with a bit of luck. Charging M2 is never a bad decision. 7. M1's really good against Tanks, Shields and anyone close-range. Meaning, M1's should connect 80-90% of the time. Otherwise charge M2. 8. Random M1 spam into the enemy backline is a waste of time. This is all because -the time you could be spamming, you could have been charging a M2 on a target you can actually hit instead. M1 is only more damage IF you get CONSISTENT hits. 9. Generic game plan: get behind cover -> M2 charge -> Peek-> Unload -> Repeat. This is called "Fishing" for kills. This forces pressure on the enemy squishies. 10. Discord Orb applies pressure to Tanks, and M2 spam applies pressure on squishies. With good positioning, this becomes peak Zen. 11. If an enemy team member overextends, it's okay to discord them to get a kill. Otherwise, keep discord on the enemy tank. 12. Zen Ult is important. Don't waste it when your tank is dead unless you're certain you can finish the fight. Otherwise you're just staggering your teammate's deaths (and thus wasting time for the team to regroup) and messing with your ult economy. 13. You cannot reapply Discord during Transcendence, so make sure it's up pre-ult to secure a kill during the ult itself. Ult'ing without a Discord out is a mistake; doing so forces 6 seconds of Discord downtime, and is a failure to capitalize on your ult's ability to push the enemy. 14. Use Discord to kill Ashe's ultimate Bob. And remember: THE WORSE YOU ARE NOW, THE FASTER YOU WILL IMPROVE!!! (Growth mindset!)
Didn’t read the whole thing, but I feel like it’s a really bad habit to keep harmony on tank, if you have an ok main healer, you should be trying to keep your dps always in the fight right??
@@ondakojees (Addressed in point 3) Zen's healing output isn't fast enough to "mitigate" damage on DPS as it's coming in: if one headshot Tracer burst was gonna kill, it's still gonna kill even through the orb. Thus, unless your DPS' HP is low, it's the main healer's job to keep DPS topped off. After all, Zen's value doesn't come from his healing; it's from his damage output+ Discord orb.

grinded ow this afternoon and implemented these tips. started in silver 4 and went 13 wins, 3 losses up to gold 4. super basic fundamentals, but man do they make a difference!

Another thing that makes comms not that usefull in bronze is that people tend to start discussions on wheter to follow the call or if it is right or not, which makes comms way less effective and noisy.
Just used this since watching it, 7 wins 1 loss in silver 1 and straight up to gold 5, wasn't even hard and it's crazy how much dmg the tank takes and creates pressure and space to win fights.
Yo, my mechanics is on point then. My secondary fire I nail a lot and delete ppl. I'm really good at his main fire. I'm only Gold 3 right now as a Role Support with Zen. I've only been playing since Jan.2024. I've just now got coaching. I want to be In Diamond soon. I did land Plat 4 in progression. But, I didn't hold it. So, I've got to up my game.
100% my aim is my biggest problem, I just can't figure out how to find my perfect sensitivity on this game unlike any other shooter I've played. Sonetines it feels too slow, sometimes too fast its mildly annoying.
You are missing so many things with your videos.. Keyboard AND mouse tenting... on top of tenting.. adding an ergonomic palm bumper to the butt of your mouse to tent your wrist to the MOST natural position that you can get in. Matching DPi to monitor PPI for a more precise ratio.. They are both measured in the EXACT SAME WAY. These are important and other than myself.. I have never ever heard of anyone talking about these things.
