may i know what kind of ukulele you are using? and could I have your recommendation about what kind of ukulele for beginners?
    Thank you so much.

Hi. I'm using Kala's KA-15S for this video. For beginners, I'd recommend a soprano size just because they are easier to carry around (small & light) and less expensive as a starter. You can also do "fingerstyle" playing with a soprano size unless you have huge, thick fingers. Once you know what ukulele playing is like, you can always buy your second uke (different size, style, or price range) at that point.
I cannot recommend any specific model, but there are many decent ones available in around $50 to $100 USD range from makers such as Cordoba, Kala, Lanikai, Oscar Schmidt, Mahalo, etc. to name just a few.
I hope this helps. Happy playing!

Does the strumming pattern change with each chord

    • @eurekauke9246
      @eurekauke9246  3 года назад

I change the pattern often, but not for every chord change.
Here's what I'm doing in the play along. (#1 and #2 refer to pattern #1 and pattern #2 respectively.):
      (Intro) Fadd9(#2),F(#2),Fadd9(#2),F(#1),Fadd9(#2),F(#2),Fadd9(↓(tacet)).
      (VERSE1) Fadd9(#2,#1),E7sus(#2),E7(#1),Em7(#2,#1),Am7(#2,#1) ←"Why do birds suddenly appear..."
F(#2),Fadd9(#2),F(#2),Fadd9(#1),C6(#2),Cmaj7(#2),C6(↓(tacet)). ←"Just like me, they long to be close to you."
(VERSE2) Fadd9(#2,#1),E7sus(#2),E7(#1),Em7(#2,#1),Am7(#2,#1) ←"Why do stars fall from the sky..."
F(#2),Fadd9(#1),F(#2),Fadd9(#1),C6(#2),Cmaj7(#2),C6(#2),C7(#1). ←"Just like me, they long to be close to you."
(CHORUS) F(#1,#1,#1,#1),Em(#1,#1),Em7(#1),A7(#1) ←"On the day that you were born the angels got together..."
Fadd9(#1),F(#1),Fmaj7(#1),Dm(#1),G(↓(tacet)). ←"So they sprinkled moon dust..."
(VERSE3) Fadd9(#2,#1),E7sus(#2),E7(#1),Em7(#2,#1),Am7(#2,#1) ←"That is why all the boys in town..."
F(#2),Fadd9(#1),F(#2),Fadd9(#1),C6(#2),Cmaj7(#1),C6(↓(tacet)). ←"Just like me, they long to be close to you."
My playing is just an example. You do not have to play exactly like this... You can mix both patterns as you like, or even play your own strumming pattern.
One other note: On both patterns, accents are put on the downstrums; i.e., downstrums are stronger than upstrums. The last upstrum on pattern #1 is very weak and sometimes almost bypassed or muffled by chord change. So the pattern #1 may often sound like ↓↑↓_ instead of ↓↑↓↑.
I hope this helps. Happy playing!
