- In this video I will share with you guys my experience as a breeder, hobbyist and conservationist for betta imbellis for over 15 years, Please understand that these methods that I mentioned in the video are from experienced from myself and many other Thai breeders and hobbyist have passed down to one another.
Betta Imbellis is a wild betta species native to Thailand and many other SEA countries and are one of the most popular and easy to keep variants out there so it's a great starter wild betta for new hobbyist who are interested in keeping these beautiful creatures.
This video will go over on their habitat, location and overall facts and experience that I've had with this species, I will also talk about tank set up from a breeders point of view and what I have found successful.

Great to know about not keeping them in pairs in the same tank. I've had no issues with keeping B.splendens in trio's with plenty of plants and small tetras/rasboras. But we are talking about a different species. Great vid!!
I love bettas and the imbellis is gorgeous! I am resetting up a tank after a long move (where I got rid of all of my fish to good homes) and I am starting over with a much smaller tank. I don't know if I will have bettas or not, but I sure do like them.

While all of the species in the splendens complex are incredibly beautiful, B. imbellis is still my favourite species. Going to set up a heavily planted 25 gal for my next aquascape and try a Betta imbellis harem. Great info as always Frank, I will be in touch to order some more fish soon mate.
All the videos you have are great. I'm starting to Read better again and your videos are helping me. I gave them too much food for 3 days. And now I can't clean the Bottom I was catching the babies. I just hope they live now. I'm about to Leave them alone and clean it about 1 weeks. You're only 4 days old😮.

They can, but not recommended for beginners, I have kept a pair together but if they spawn the female will need to be removed or the males turnes aggressive
