  • In this episode, we take our first test tour on our newly acquired Grand Banks 36 Classic named Whitehorse. We sail from Port-La-Forêt to the Glénan Islands, about 10 km out in the bay. It is beautiful weather, but further out, we experience some rocky waves. Our test was successfull and we could decide to start our way home the next day. This is an episode of my series Adventures with Trawler Yacht Whitehorse, my Grand Banks 36.

Greetings. Did you do a renaming ceremony? Bad luck not to do so. The engine solenoid from your previous video was super scary looking. Looking forward to seeing your future adventures

There was no special ceremony, but we did have a drink on the new name 😃
The selenoid was from the anchor winch and really rusty. The seller promissed to exchange it with a new one, but only cleaned it a bit. Home in Norway, I installed a new one.

Hello very interesting video, couple of questions
    1. What engines do you have
    2. Whate engine revs do you cruise at
    3. What is your cruising speed
    Good luck

Thanks, there will be more videos coming 😊
      To your questions...
      1. 2 Perkins of 2012, non-turbo, ca 6000 cc
      2. While traveling to Norway, we cruised usually at 1600 RPM
      3. Speed with this was around 8 knots
      4. Total fuel consumption (both engines together) with this was about 12 - 13 liter per hour
      Here in Norway, I cruise with 1400 RPM, 6-7 kt, 8 Liter / h
      Regards Dieter

What do you mean with that? Please write me to dieter@schuerer.no for more clarifications. I am planning some short trips this summer with my Grand Banks.

@@cruisinggrandbanks36whiteh48 I believe they mean they would like to see a tour of the boat: what the cabins look like, the various sections of the boat, the flybridge, etc. Like a home tour. Which I would also be curious to see.
