I found a book. It was a lovely book, but the author had gotten a bad editor, which means that there were SO MANY typos as to take away from the book. I just sat there, feeling bad for the poor author.
dang, that's what I'm honestly scared of-I mean, I hired an editor for my book and have been editing it for the past 2 years (yes, EDITING, not even drafting) because I'm such a perfectionist and I'm still scared people will find errors that most of the time go completely unnoticed by the human eye.
When i was younger i was obsessed with the babysitter little sister books. The main character’s name is Karen, and when i started a chapter, it started as “Karen, Hannie, Kristy and I,” and 12 year old me was like “im sorry what? Where tf is Nancy?!?

It halted for a second when he paused and glanced over his shoulder. The corner of his perfect mouth curled in what might have been a smirk. “And incinerate you, too.” “I know that,” I grumbled. (I didn’t put my characters’ actual names because I don’t feel comfortable with revealing those on the internet - jsykw)
Oh, my long lost life force, I thank you for returning it- Okay but I'm really proud of this paragraph so I wanted to share it- "“I have found it, I have found it, eureka, I have discovered it at long last!” He laughed a laugh of pride and triumph, one who had so long sought after his goal, his greatest wish. He was Archimedes discovering how it was that the crown was not pure gold, that the crown had more to it than met the eye, that it hid secrets invisible to those who are blinded by foolishness."

Right now I'm seriously considering trying to write a book about a girl who is taken by a dragon to a mountaintop, the king sends a company of knights to rescue the girl and slay the dragon. These are cliches that are like a thousand years old and the scariest thing about it is having no way to explain why it's interesting to me without spoiling the whole thing. And if I'm being honest just because it's interesting to me doesn't actually mean that it'll necessarily be worth reading anyway. The only thing I can really say about it, at the moment is the plan would be to give you the perspective of the knight, then the dragon, then the girl. And that it's a story about survivor's guilt.
I finally started writing on my main wip after neglecting it for MONTHS! I feel so bad but good news is after Im done smoothing over this semi awkward middle transitional bit of the story that Im just now figuring out how to write decently, I'll be on a roll.
I always have to remind myself that my grandma proofreads my stories, and then quietly remind myself that it's fine bc she has just as much of a dirty mind as me
Me: *Sits down to write* Me: Wait I need music! Me: *scrolls through my writing songs to figure out which one fits the scene I'm writing the best so it can get me in the zone* *ends up spending an hour searching for that one song and completely forgets that I'm supposed to be writing* This happens far too often to be healthy anymore hahahahaha *laughter turns to sobbing*

What i usually do, 1. Write A bunch of scenes or short story’s 2.sort them by genre or similar characters 3.put the scenes together Hope this helps! I don’t know how much since it made but it works for me!
I find this funny, I love films with well directed, tense action scenes, that really put you in the moment. _Writing_ action is boring to me. I write talking heads stories where the characters never shut the hell up. I've always loved dialogue scenes too, I just think it's interesting that I can't imagine being pinned down to writing action scenes.

Here is the prologue of my book that I, (a 12-year old) have been writing for two years. I’m on page five. (It’s been edited and rewritten so many times! It’s about a girl who ran away from her abusive father at 7, she lived on the streets stealing until at 11 she found a gang and ended up joining and building it up from the dirt. She and the new kid have to infiltrate the privately owned police academy. She ends up meeting her twin and falling in love by the schools himbo. Yeah, there’s also gonna be a nurse named Nina designed to make you like her. Then she dies! Yay Flashback 6 months Isana barely let a smile escape her lips as her best friend, Mika Tomoora danced around her room. She twirled a finger around a strand of hair hanging from her black root, teals tipped space buns, a matching one hanging from the opposite side. A firm, loud knock was heard from the door, and Mika opened it to a boy who looks around her age, 17. He had dark brown hair with stormy grey eyes, except for his right eye which had a large pale scar curving down it. There was also a small nick of a scar on his forehead. He smiled as Isana frowned. “So what brings you to my bestie’s room?” Mika chirped as energetic as ever. “Oh I was just wondering where my room is? I’m kinda lost.” He said while laughing. “Mhm” Isana muttered. “Your new to the gang I presume?” She questioned with an slightly annoyed look on her face. At this point she decided to freak the newbie out a bit by pulling her favourite dagger out of her right boot and running her finger against the blade creating a thin line of blood. “Yeah,” He chuckled nervously. “That obvious?” He was clearly slightly panicked after seeing the blood, but was trying not to show it. “Name?” Isana questioned, smirking. The boy smiled. “Oh- um… I-I’m.” His eyes flickered around the room. “Uh, Blaze!” She rolled her eyes. “Full name.” She stated. “Oh uh sorry, Blaze… Romaine .” “Hmm” She sighed, seemingly quite uninterested. “Go down the hall, take the first staircase on the left, down two floors and ask there.” “Oh ok thanks!” He exclaimed before starting to leave.
Ugh now I want to write something, anything, even if its just one word to start off with, but guess who can't get anything to come out of her tiny brain and onto a piece of paper.

I’ve been in a creative slump for a couple months and I decided to attempt to write something. I had forgotten how to write and I PANICKED-
That’s happened to me a couple times, lol. Just try jotting some basic ideas down, and then just try and elaborate on some that you think you can.
I find writing incredibly easy, and unbearably hard.
