My favorite grumpy/sunshine pairing is Daryl and Beth from TWD. That one episode gave me life, and the next episode we saw Beth in literally made me so angry at the writers rhat I just straight up didnt watch the show again for years.
I'm writing my first true grumpy/sunshine trope right now, and I really wish I could find more people talking about that trope and what they like about it/what moments are their favorite. All I can find is rec videos.

I hate the Enemies to lovers trope because you shouldn't want a stable healthy relationship with someone who treats you like shit and if you both end up liking each other then you weren't really enemies you were just expressing emotions in unhealthy ways by being impulsive and trying to kill each other. Flirting when trying to kill someone is not how most brains are capable of thinking in real life we fight or flight not fight and flirt lol.
The 'ugly guy' woman's clip made no attempt to connect the dots of her assertion whatsoever. In fact it undermined whatever point she was trying to make. If the woman had to learn to love the man, doesn't that mean the man already loved the woman?
