Hai guys, just wanted to say I’ve really enjoyed your series on Hoi An. I’ve been there a few times, but going back this June with my BF... You’ve given me new places to explore, thank you!
Its a great country. I traveled the length of it by train a few years back. Didnt own a camera at that time which was some rookie sheeet. Nice to see it through your experience.
+jackrubycrew Haha exactly the same story with me mate - went South to North about 5 years ago and had an absolute drunken blast! It's fun re-exploring those same places in a different sober travel setting.
That opening rain shot is the proverbial 'cow pissing on a flat rick'. You can swim in the rain tho!! Would like to learn more about the "hidden beach" mentioned.
Loving these vlogs in Vietnam. I'm binge watching them and trying to catch up. Not sure if l'm watching in order but really enjoying your day to day journey even when you're rained in. 😁 Beautiful scenery and great villa! Looked like a fun weekend to me! Every moment matters! Enjoy! 😄✌🏽
+Dream331 Ah you're making your way through the other Nam stuff as well, thanks so much, you're the greatest!! Loads more to come, we've got some amazing things and countries planned as well in the next few months :)
+Jamie Banks It's sunny a lot more than it is rainy, heading into the wetter seasons though so hopefully that doesn't change :) Thanks for watching, Jamie!
I don't know about you guys but... relaxing + eating + drinking Vietnamese coffee while it's raining outside = heaven to me. Travel or not, you guys seem to make the day interesting :) I'm being biased but please stay in SE Asia for a while!!
+JSTFD Yup, 100000% agree. It's actually really nice in our new place looking out across the pool with the rain coming down and drinking a nice strong coffee! That's why I had so much fun filming that cinematic sequence at the start I think, was just in such a good mood despite the weather. Will let you in on a secret, we aint leaving SEA for a loooong time! Currently deciding between Indonesia, Malaysia or the Philippines for our next place to hang out for a few months :)
Daneger and Stacey I'm beyond jealous, but we're in the middle of planning next years trips so you never know. Also, you've now ruined me for most other travel vloggers. Was looking up some vids of a hawker market in Singapore we missed last year that I want to head to on next years trip and everyone footage was shit in comparison lol
+nzchrisgirl Where ya thinking of then? We're planning right now for our next moves, avoiding the rain and ease of flights and visas for extended stays is proving tricky. Ha that's kind re the footage and other vloggers, theres a real difference in quality on YT aye! We just need to get discovered and blow up :P
Daneger and Stacey Singapore for sure, that's already been planned for next Aug, but then either Hawaii and get in some volcano hiking or Thailand. Are you guys considering doing a jump out of Asia at some point and hitting random parts of Europe at all? And I have no doubt you'll hit it big time soon, you guys are producing serious quality!
+nzchrisgirl Figured Singapore was in there regardless! Tough choice between Hawaii and Thailand, cost comparison between the two is huge though, depends how much you wanna spend. We spent sooo much money in Hawaii it was silly - looking back now we could have lived for 3months or more in Thailand for the same. We'll be in Asia until March when we have 3 weeks in NZ, then we're going to Eastern Europe (Bulgaria to begin) and a wedding in Greece - so will spend 6-8 months around Europe :)
You guys seem to be rolling with the punches - fantastic video! :) At least you all are keeping it real and it makes for great and entertaining content.:)
+Larry Fournillier Always keeping it positive! Sometimes things going wrong make for a good vlog though, right? There's one episode coming up were a flat tyre causes me a bit of a headache and a great 'local' experience :)
Daneger and Stacey when served lemons, you made lemonade - and boy, you guys served us a big pitcher of it. :) I can't wait for the 'flat tire' video - you have me curious. :) Stay awesome!
+Norm P Yeah it's heading that way sadly, but still such nice and warm weather! We're hoping it stays nice for September anyway. Was it too hot in March? It's a bit of a catch 22, sometimes too sunny is a bit over whelming.
Daneger and Stacey Feb and Mar were great, little rain and not too hot, low 20’s in mornings, to around 30 most afternoons. January a few years ago, we had 17 high, 11 low, for about a week with rain. Almost died.
+Susan Lawton Thanks for another comment Susan! You're gonna see a lot of banana and pineapple outfits when you come here hahaha. Thanks again for watching.
I'm assuming you know, but during September rain amps up significantly in Central Vietnam, and then October, November, December it rains crap loads, and floods a lot. I know a lot of people have experienced serious flooding in Hoi An October, so make sure your electronics are not on the floor!!
+Cam Robinson Yeah it's heading that way, we've just got our fingers crossed it stays nice for most of September anyway and we're only round for a portion of October at this stage. Oh wow, that's a shame about the flooding - will be checking we don't leave any electronics on the floor then!!
+Mike Dickson Nice work, Mike! Ooh thats a tough question, this was more of a western flavor to it if that makes sense. So with out being too PC, it was different but also amazing haha.
Couple of quick questions for my favourite vloggers :) On average, how much actual footage do you shoot to get 10 minutes of edited magic? And how has the weather been in general, the past couple of weeks?
+James Jernhånd Klanen Flattery is working, we're proud to take the title of your favourite :P In the early days it was tonnes of footage man, these days it's just natural and you sort of 'know'. I generally end up with about 13-20 minutes of footage (higher end if I have drone or underwater stuff) that I trim down, to get a 6-10minute vlog. I'm real process driven with my editing and setup though cos it can take a life time otherwise! I'd say we've had rain 5 of the last 14 days maybe. Still warm though.
13 - 20 minutes edited down to 10 is a great ratio, especially given the quality of your vlogs! I thought the unedited footage would have been much longer. Hope the weather is ok when we arrive (fingers crossed).
+James Jernhånd Klanen The majority of what we film makes the cut, then I just aggressively edit to the beat of the music for the cinematics and chop out any unnecessary chat. Good example is right now, looking at what we filmed for todays vlog with drone footage and I'm at 21 minutes, 7 of which is drone. It's enough already so I'm gonna film the close soon even though it's only 4pm. Got what we need already :)
No naps. Still up watching vids. 5am here now. Definitely worth watching. Would've liked to see how you spent time indoors during the rain. Have a great day

The weather looks terrible, but it's still beautiful there! You guys really are in paradise!
+Jamie Banks It's sunny a lot more than it is rainy, heading into the wetter seasons though so hopefully that doesn't change :) Thanks for watching, Jamie!
Was this a old series. I followed you guys there last time. Love your vlog
Yeah these Vietnam vids are really old now. We need to head back and travel around more

Daneger and Stacey It's cool as she does it, signature ending 😂 🙌
+Ave Pi Maybe we'd get more subscribers if she did it at the start of the video hahaha
Even on days with crappy weather it just looks awesome!
+nzchrisgirl Yup, it's still so much fun - we're pretty blessed!

I guess its starting to be rainy season there now. We miss that beach so much. I think it was sunny every day there in March.
+Norm P Yeah it's heading that way sadly, but still such nice and warm weather! We're hoping it stays nice for September anyway. Was it too hot in March? It's a bit of a catch 22, sometimes too sunny is a bit over whelming.

+Mike Dickson Nice work, Mike! Ooh thats a tough question, this was more of a western flavor to it if that makes sense. So with out being too PC, it was different but also amazing haha.

+Adam Raymond You're a soldier! Time to get some rest man, you've earnt it!
