Trench War 5 - Marble Game

  • Reach the enemy's base to win!
    Marbles will randomly select which soldiers to spawn. Soldiers will automatically move towards the enemy base and fire at nearby enemies.
    Updates in this version:
    Basic troops now spawn multiple. This is further multiplied by whatever multiplier the marble has, for example if the marble is at 6x and lands on a 5x Rifle, it will spawn 30 riflemen.

    How about a little change in the appearance of the machine gunner? He just looks like a cowboy from the Wild West, if you put him in a WW II helmet and give him an MG34 with a drum magazine(If you don't like MG34- give him a Lewis Machinegun), he would look much more entourage. I also noticed that when 2 planes collide with each other, they freeze until one of them stops hanging. It is also worth removing the fences, or giving intellect for units so that they can bypass them, otherwise they continue to get stuck and run into fences

    Overall i think it is great but here are a few things i would suggest:
    1. More innterestinng terrain: Adding sniper towers, bbarbed wire, machine gun nnests that can be used by either team. Also adding shellholes, and pits could add cover for troops
    2. More aerial weapons: Bombers, and maybe even a plane that paratroops units in behind enemy trenches and perhaps evenn a zepplin
    3. Anti-aercraft weapons: This could be in the form of artillery such as the "QF 1-pounder pom-pom" or a specialised marble, this will shoot down planes but nno other units. It would also be cool to see if a unit climbs on a sniper tower they could target aerial units
    4. Gas: I think this has bbeen addressed before but i think some form of gas unit would be so cool, like a gasser could throw a ggas grenade that slowly expands in the form of transluscent cubes, as it expands it becomes less dangerous but after a while it completely dissapears
    5. More innterestinng units diversity: It would be cool to add units like flamethrowers shotguns etc. These would be rarely used but powerful when used
    6. More rifle men: I think there should be a sperate area or choosingg basic units such as grendiers, machine guns and espacially more riflemen
    Regardless im excited for trench war 6

      Also since the plane to aim and attack the more dangerous enemies, like priority over motors than footmen

      I'd LOVE to see a Zeppelin. The way I see it: a big flying unit that randomly picks up allies to create a group (kinda like the commander/officer) and after being shot down (being fairly weak as it has the big vulnerable balloon) it dumps the soldiers all at once. This could create cool scenarios of groups being dropped into enemy defenses to weaken their grip on the land.

    Great vid as always! I've been really enjoying the development of this series!
    If I could make a tiny suggestion, perhaps make the tips of the dividers between selection zones more pointed, so that selection marbles can't balance or get stuck on them?

    As soon as I thought that the green side I had chosen would lose, then suddenly 3 tanks drove straight out of nowhere, carrying all opponents into a bloody mess, with almost no losses(Except for the infantry and 1 tank, as well as the critical state of 2 last tanks) dragged the green line and broke through the blue defenses, firing in the surviving blue soldiers. The legendary 3 tanks did their job

      My heart sank watching the Times9 cyan ball waste time on a retreat and then land in snipers... if they were to land somewhere more useful like SMGS, rifles, mortars, tanks, there could've been a fighting chance!

      @@Thewalliest I knew Lime was gonna win, in the first 10 minutes, when I saw the blue balls breaking physics to bounce in the wrong direction, and the Lime balls breaking physics to "miraculously" bounce in the right direction. This isn't random. This shit is rigged.

      oh, also of course it's rigged. LostMarbles can run the sim as many times as they like to get whatever results they want. I don't think it's much of a secret.

    Not a spoiler, but I think the officers are counter productive. Every time a side uses one it’s a 90% of losing one or more trench. Kinda made the game frustrating to watch as the side I liked would do so well, and throw it all away with a handful of officers

    Two weeks late but a very very good video, I love this series to pieces.
    A recommendation based on another channel that does good battle videos: maybe make the really strong units like tanks and biplanes cost more than one marble to release? This would reduce the issues with tank rushes from multiplied marbles dropping into the end slots and give you more room to make them stronger than the "elite infantry" without favoring the armor units too much.

      Also I think it would be cool if air units can make multiple passes and be shot at by ground units instead of just flying by and then vanishing. Right now they feel a little too similar to the artillery strikes

    Another great video, you do great work as always. Anyways, on to the feedback: as if current balancing the Tanks are a bit too healthy and the planes are generally weaker, which is an issue because you want your elite units to be roughly on par with one another. Instead of weakening the tanks (they're tanks after all) maybe make them weak to a unit? (The mortar for example). Another thing which would be cool is machine gun emplacements and perhaps some anti-air? On a side note, good job with the consistent solid music selection.
