  • Lawn moss is very bad this year, after a wet Autumn and Winter.
    So using a scarifier is the easiest way to remove it.

    Always amazing at what we get out, very therapeutic and I think the lawn enjoys it as much as I do!

      It's definitely one of them jobs, where we think.how much waste and then have to double it 😆, it's a very satisfying job to do.

    a friend asked me just yesterday if I knew if moss being yellow and grass green after this winter is normal, I did not know. Now I can re-assure her her lawn is ok and not affected by worms or chemicals in the atmosphere. Thank you!

    Thanks Jason,
    That’s useful to know. I think I’ve let the machine dictate the pace somewhat as I thought slowing it down too much would cut more in to the lawn. Maybe I need to hold it back a little more. It does a great job but wondered if my machine was incorrectly set up from new. I guess you just have to judge the conditions and depth of moss on each lawn.
    Great videos btw.

    Can you scarify if the turf is netting backed? And which Stihl scarifier are you using? Thanks

    • @jasongardener3425
      @jasongardener3425  5 месяцев назад +1

      I would imagine the netting is 25mm below the surface, on as long as you don't go to deep, it would be fine, just touching the soil to be safe 👍

    Hi Jason,
    That’s a great job done. I have the same scarifier. Are you holding back on the drive of the machine as mine just seems to want to go too fast. I also find I can only use it on the first level down as any other level is just too destructive to the lawn. What level were you using it on?

    • @jasongardener3425
      @jasongardener3425  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks mate 👍.
      Yes holding it back, I had it on no.2, iv gone as low as no.4 in past, but it turns into a rotator, but did that when setting wildflower mix into lawn, but generally no.2 is my lowest set and no.1 on first pass sometimes👍👍
