This is wonderful. You make it sound so easy! There’s such a sense of comfort in it. I’ve been on the road for several weeks, tomorrow we head home…this will be on the road song list.
Ive seen many many ways of composing and producing and this has to be one of the mos unique ways for sure. Tascam MidiStudio 688.. Hey man since youre the only person I know that Owns one of these I would really like if you give me more names of products like the tascam youre using perhaps you now a better one or a cheaper one becauseI love the sound of analog tape and I dont know any names of recording consoles like this one
Hey, thanks for your comment. It's a lot of fun using these machines, so I'll try and point you in the right direction! Generally the entry level ones are all 4-track machines. Things like the Tascam 414 or 424 (They all seem to have a mark I, II or III version). There's also the Porta one or Porta 02 series, which is a bit older (and cheaper) I think. For 8-track recording, they start with the Tascam 488, 488Mk II & then the Tascam 688. These may just help you narrow down your search, there's a decent amount of Tascam Portastudio cassette recorders on Ebay most of the time. All Tascam models seem pretty trustworthy to me, it just depends on the former owner.
I think N.R was off for this one but I can’t remember honestly. The acoustic track is quite hissy and bright, which is why I think it was off. The high input levels of the other instruments would cancel out/mask the hiss on the other tracks.

Thanks Eddy! I'm happy to read that. Have a safe journey home. It's an honour to be riding with you guys through the speakers! lol
Cool jam. Sounds good. Wish I had a tape unit like that sittin around...
Thanks dude! I’m very lucky to have this lying around for sure.
Actually sounds like a record and not plugins. Kudos for saving mankind!!
Haha thanks very much. I can see what you mean though, I keep getting drawn back to cassettes 😌

I love the sound of cassettes!!
Dude, this sounds so good. That higher harmony just pushes it into new territory. My favorite thing you've done.
Wow, thanks a lot man. I’m really happy to hear that! I’m glad the harmony worked!

Tapey goodness! Noise reduction on or off?
