sounds surreal tbh, this server just seemed too big to fail a few years back.. rip
same for the hive, and they shutdown too, seems like the big servers are getting too big, and smaller servers can't keep up.

I used to play Mineplex quite a bit both in Java, and Bedrock. It had a place in my heart, and will always... nothing like Technoblade but it still leaves me heartbroken about this unfortunate news. Best reguards to the owner, admins, and other staff members for loseing their jobs in this event. You'll had a spectial place in my heart. Goodbye Mineplex.

I remember when I was a child playing mineplax logging on during Christmas and Halloween to play the new events to try get loot boxes, its a shame mineplex is now gone hopefully v2 can bring it back one day o7
I loved playing as a kid too. This server was a childhood not to be forgotten o7
aw man. I had such good times on mineplex, their mini games were really original and stood out from hypixel's.
I guess we should be happy that it happened at all.

No, you were one of the laggiest
No in fact, it was one of the worst servers in the partner section. From random spikes of lag, unmoderated housing, extremely corrupt moderators, and the extreme infestation of hackers has brought the server down to its knees. If I were to choose which featured server I'd play it'd either be Cubecraft or Galaxite.
I almost shed a tear, this server was my childhood. It has held a place in my heart for many years. But everything has to come to an end. The server is gone, gone for good. It was nice meeting everyone in the community, such friendly individuals. Mineplex will always be the server where I made the most memories. Farewell Mineplex, and thank you team for making our childhoods more memorable...
Dude, I loved mineplex. It was honestly my version of hypixel. I loved cake wars, and everything on it. It makes me sad

It will be lost, but not forgotten.
Every time I would always login to Minecraft, and go to my server list, I would always see Mineplex there and I Would always remember some really good memories I had in that server, one of my best friends, loved that server, and all she could talk about was Mineplex, but now that its gone, I'll never be able to recreate these memories forever, RIP, And the thing is, it wasn't too long that the Dream SMP shut down as well, o7 Mineplex, you'll be missed. :(
Sucks to see and hurts to hear. This server was a huge part of my life for many years. To all the memories and moments both good and bad, thank you.
Oh man, all of the memories are rushing back. I've been playing Minecraft since 2012 and Mineplex was a part of the earlier years of my 11-year experience with the game. I still remember playing the minigames on there (and doing pretty badly, but I was having fun). When I was younger, it seemed like the fun wouldn't end and that the server will stay around for a while. It's sad to see it go like this, but with the past couple of years, I can't say I'm surprised about the outcome. Goodbye Mineplex, you'll be missed.
I still remember how I used to play cakewars and make friends in survival mode, taking away such a big putt of our childhood is a very traumatic turn of events. But we should all be happy that it happened and that we were all a part of one brick memory. I still have flashbacks of how I used to troll and grief survival. Although it will never be the same again we lived through so much events that this sad news can not stop us we need to be together to get through all the conflicts happening he if anyone needs some comforting you can replay to me and I will comfort you❤❤.
when i start remembering how i enjoyed playing those minigames and the quick build minigame just destroys me to see how its gone... RIP Mineplaxe you will be remembered

My favourite minigame was christmas chaos. It's sad it was only on mineplex and only like once a year.
I hope they'll add it somewhere again. I'll miss mineplex for it.

Oh man, I still remember Christmas chaos! I don't think I ever won a game, but I came pretty close. That snake parkour section was always pretty annoying, and the snow golem pillar thing was also pretty difficult.

Its sad, some of my best memories are playing mineplex with my cousin. I shed a few tears just watching its slowly leave.
I still will always prefer it over Hypixel

This is so sad
This was a server I used to play on before I transitioned to Hypixel in 2016. Great memories of Castle Seige and Speed Builders as my favorites. Oh well, at least there's Turbo Kart Racers I main on in Hypixel.
I wonder if at this point, Hypixel has become the monopoly of all MC servers.

First minecraft server i played. I remember playing capute the flag ( Dont remember the name) 24/7 when i was younger. o7
The admins and owner went against themselves, getting fired or leaving, which left to no maintenance. Pretty sure someone made a video bout this topic
Im sad to see this happen, but looking back at the last year or 2, I see how it happened:
[First of all, Im speaking from my own personal experience as a PS4 player (I dont have the money for a PC...)]
Around 2021 (I think), I first started playing Mineplex - when Featured Servers were added to Bedrock on PS4 and I played it more than any other server
It had pretty much all the games I liked to play and, besides the lag, I didnt do as bad as in other servers (which were a lot more sweatier)
My favorites were definitely the classic games, housing (or however it was called) and Speed Builders - by far my best game
As more time went by, I got better at Minecraft, I started exploring and playing other servers since they were updated often while Mineplex didnt and Mineplex just started getting harder and harder to play on
Some of the times the server wouldnt let me queue for a game and sometimes (almost) no chunks would spawn at all so I couldnt even try to queue - other servers didnt have that issue - not to mention my Housing not saving properly sometimes
As I started to forget Mineplex, everything had gotten much worse and reason was I just *couldnt even play anymore* - Housing was filled with e-date hotels or RP Housings and there were no parkours (the only thing I enjoyed about Housing); I couldnt even go to my own or saved Housings at all; after countless attempts, the server wouldnt even let me play *_anything_* including the Housings
I dont even remember when was the last time I last logged on Mineplex and I wont be able to do that ever again

it was the first server i've ever logged onto. I am so sad i can't experience those memories anymore, even with the recent lobby. I hope Mineplex will be 'historic' 5 years from now. o7, childhood.
Sad to hear Mineplex fell as it was a big part of my childhood. It was a place where I met so many of my online friends and the many content creators I watched. I also streamed this server on Twitch for hundreds of hours with my friends playing MPS. I will forever miss the active days of Hunger games, UHC, and the rounds of Micro battles without hackers. Thank you guys for the opportunity to play on Mineplex and I wish the rest of the team the best.

Survival, Cake Wars, Dragons, its all gone now.
It doesn't feel that long ago when all of my gang came from school and logged on to Mineplex and played into the late-night.
Well all we can just do is hope that the other servers such as Hypixel don't end up in the same fate...
I used to play Mineplex on Bedrock with my friend alot, That is before he got Java Edition and we moved on to Java Sevrers & Modded Minecraft, Honestly those times were good. RIP Mineplex, We always came to you when we couldnt play on Hypixel.

Better to just play hypixel at this point. It's the only server that you can play without worrying or risking the server shutting down.

Rip. The closest you can get is the build servers like hypixel have it. You just guess the build that's the closest you're going to get.

I started plaing on mineplex a few years ago, i still have the clip of my First Time there and now, that i am in the top 20 for cakewars solo win i Just look back at that game to laugh at my past self for how bad i was, mineplex Will Always stay in my Heart, rip❤

I have to agree with you on this, "Mineplex" was a major impact on my life throughout my childhood and I am glad to see it impacted just as many people as I thought it might, this game has had negative impacts on some bugs, yet nothing the staff couldn't fix within a day, the first time I saw the servers down I figured they were just resetting the server to fix some again, (like every week) Then when I saw the post I got a little sad and disappointed, we all knew this was coming, thank you Mineplex and the community for making this game a fun, compassionate, exciting, thrilling, competitive game, my favorite thing about Mineplex could have been clans or DOM, it was sad to see CTF go down nearly 3 years after the release BUT was great, I hope this finds the staff well as I would like to acknowledge their hard grateful and respected work. I am very grateful and in debt for your help...
I never REALLY had the chance to play on mineplex java, but it was a huge part of my bedrock adventures.. It honestly saddens me to see mineplex go, o7 mineplex, we hope v2 will be as good.

Crazy, server was the top dog a few years ago. The same thing can happen to hypixel in a few years.
Housing, was the thing that generated SO much joy for me, its been a place where i could make friends, rp and more.

games didn't even get a full lobby in java edition. It was like a very old horse trying to not die but evantually it did.
I legit cried or over half an hour after my cousin told me that mineplex was shut doown. This has been a part of half my family.'s childhood- and is more heartbreaking than when my maternal grandfather died.
Bad things always happens to good things
Me and my cousin always played here years ago, We loved it. We played it every time we had a chance to play. Me And my cousin called daily no matter what just to play this. Millions of kids played this with friends or random players. Almost everybody played on this server in their life, we played cakewars and the most popular mob arena. I wanna say thanks to mineplex for making my childhood and goodbye.
