Being able to use the finger applicator in a pinch is definitely a plus.👍
I have been cut too many times on metal pipe threads, so finger application would be a hard NO.
Maybe on plastic, pvc, cpvc, etc.
Bert has a great sense of humor. Would be fun to work with him. Always enjoy these videos.
He is a blast to work with!
Thanks for the video. Substance, humor and application all in a few minutes
I was just thinking a couple weeks ago that there needed to be a nylog thread sealant. Cant wait to try that out
Will certainly try this product but Hercules Megaloc is a real hard product to beat. I’ve been using the Megaloc for a long time. Installed probably thousands of yards of black iron threaded gas and water lines and never ever had a leak!
Love the exaggeration when applying the t plus 2
My van is slowly becoming a refrigeration technologies advertisement
i remember reading the technical service facts literature from...i want to say Trane but could be another brand, well it used to say not to use gas pipe thread sealant on evaporator fitting, i just took that as a general rule and allways been usin regular teflon tape on the thread fittin out of the evap coil, looks clean... but i will try that new product... thanks for the video
You really need to do a laundry test... does it come off of clothes?! Don’t pretend like you’re not all wondering.
Seems like I’ve seen that stuff before.. oh yeah it’s called pipe dope lol
Do you know if it's been approved for gas in Canada?
Not yet but I’m not gonna wait
I want to know how it compares to the blue brush applied thread sealant which has a much more similar consistency to nylog white
can you guys pressure test the pipe with the product?
Says for water, can I use this when piping in a new natural gas fired boiler instead of using Teflon tape?
When will you do live again????
Is it rated for LP?
Is this manufacturer the same company who makes the blue leak lock?
No - they make Nylog which is very different
Loctite 567
Is it safe for York drain pans?
Even has automotive applications on coolant lines of engines and electric vehicles, remember the coolant is a mix of water and glycol.

I remember when safety was about keeping your digits...
These days it's about getting your hands dirty and worrying about your face hair.
Real excited but looks like he pissed making this video lol
thats called a dry sense of humor. its not him being pissed
I had bad luck with nylog. I think the dope is better than slime.
Lol " let's try some gas connections" and he grabs galvanized pipe instead of black pipe 🤦♂️
We are dummies in Florida Ok 😂
HVAC School - nah, definitely not dumb. You’re just trying to demonstrate the product. And a great job indeed! 😊
It does say water so not too off topic
Yea some places allow galvanized pipe for gas.
NY is galvanized pipe only for outdoor applications
Why does Bert always look homeless
I'm interested in trying it out but dam dude, you need to take it easy on the dope, maybe in more than one way lol. If I seen someone doping a joint like that on one of my projects that would be the last time, that's way too much, you gotta wipe the excess off the brush on the rim of the can before you start applying cmon now, you know better, unless you dont mind wasting money on rags to clean that fitting up
Rags and dope are cheaper than leaks! 😊
@Eric M I strongly disagree and so would any good tech/installer. My joints are always clean and never have leaks so why make a mess of your work and look like a hack to everyone who will see your work ? I would fire you on day one with that attitude. Sorry, but it's a very important thing and that is just not acceptable. You only need to dope the first three to four threads, making a mess of the whole joint is an embarrassment. Hopefully you will learn someday. If you have leaks it's because you are either not tightening enough or you're not threading the pipe properly. Seriously
Sounds like you need to smoke a joint
Agreed!!! Too much damn pipe dope...
Try to be non bias next time...
@Eric M that's a bull faced lie
While ur videos are generally 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the guy in the red shirt 🤢🤢🤢👎👎👎
Awww come on... we love BERT 😔😢
HVAC School - your guy gets a great 👍 big thumbs up from me. 5 stars all the way! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
