  • Nylog Blue is a thread sealant and assembly lubricant manufactured for the HVAC and refrigeration trade. Nylog Blue is made from POE refrigeration oil and can help seal brass caps, flares, gaskets and all kinds of threads to help avoid refrigerant leaks. It also helps to keep seals lubricated and never hardens.
    I made this video as there seemed to be confusion amongst many on its uses and applications. I have been using the product since the early 2000s and have never seen it damage system internals.

      I use it and it’s been good. Hey was wondering if you have seen Schrader valves that have different color gaskets on them?

    Im glad I was able to find a straightforward video on a topic ive been preaching for some time now. Some listen to me and implement, others turn the other cheek convinced I dont know what im talking about. Great video

    Started experimenting with it since I’ve seen you on Instagram preach it for a while now 😂

    I’ve often detected leakage at brand new cores that I installed. I use Nylog with brass caps and have had good luck with it.

      I toss the plastic caps anytime I see them. Replace with brass.

    Any reason to put nylog on the schrader seat or valve when the cap is off?

    All 5 of my mini split cores leak. Caps are a must. I tried putting nylon on the valve core threads and they still leak. Nylon on the cap makes it seal. Schrader cores need a new LEAK FREE design.

    Does the core create the 100% seal or the cap?
    I do love nylog btw and refrig tech is the best

      @TheSimba86 Год назад

      the cap is most of the seal, same reason you have caps on your car tires

      @@TheSimba86Lmfao the shrader valves are the seal DUHHH... Cars have caps ovwe the shrader valves to prevent dirt from getting inside, not to keep 30+psi inside smdh you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

    Why don't you use the brass cap instead of the cheap plastic ones that can crack and leak? Brass cap has a flare type of seal. You can also use the copper gasket to make it even better.
