So so sorry Chad. Loved Robin because of his strong personality and the fact he was so identifiable in the vlogs. Raising animals is tough and a great leveller. So we pick ourselves up, a little sadder, a little more experienced, a little more grateful for all we have, a little more conscious of all the animals contribute to our daily lives. And we take the next step……
Prayers Robin

AMEN 🙏
Gordon from "Downunder", not much I can add to what has already been said, you and your family are doing a great job, and thank you for sharing your lives with us. Keep the faith and God Bless.
Sorry for the loss...as homesteaders, we have a bevy of animals...over time, we have lost animals...it hurts, but it is part of the cycle of life.
Wilma is so funny. She heard you coming and starts running. You will need to give her extra feed so she doesn’t run the weight off.
She sure was fast!!! 😁
Nothing wrong with lean pork.
Loved the way she outran you and waited for you to catch up ! 😁
Thank you for being honest and thank you for your thought!! Amen, the loss is part of farming!!
I always thought goats were pretty indestructible, but since my daughter and granddaughter started raising them 7-8 years ago, we found out pretty quick that they're so susceptible to so many things. Everything from coccidia and other parasitical ailments to intolerance to too much protein, wet conditions, and more. They've lost goats with home treatment, lost goats before we knew anything was wrong, as well as within hours of taking them to the vet. The symptoms of multiple goat ailments are the same, so narrowing it down is tough. You can only do what feels right given the circumstances at the time.
I would've thought Robin was ok after seeing him eating. Sick animals just don't eat. Sorry for your loss, Bud.
I’m sorry for the loss of Robin. I actually teared up. Of course it’s not your fault, nor can it be helped sometimes. I know you love your animals and Grandpa doestoo! Be blessed and take care!
Robin fly high little man ,Jesus needed you , you gave us fun times and laughs no more trash cans with handles, you can eat all the time, Chad ,Case,Adler, and grampa and gram ma,my heart hurts for you all,he is not suffering ,take care hugs
As a human being, I must say, let the edge down. Everyone that has owned animals knows what it's like to bury a few. It's a horrible feeling and no one likes it. It is a fact of life no matter how good you do things. You let others know what to be cautious of during wet conditions. That should be their focus.
Sorry for your farms loss, thanks for the info, peace be with you and yours
Death as well as birth on a farm is every day life, but it still hurts when you have a death ... God Bless !!! When one door closes another window opens 🤗🤗😁
So sorry about losing Robin. I hope and pray you won’t have any more losses. It would be hard not knowing why, but you do know that you did give him his best life.
Going to the vet when you can call him/her and someone like Kevin who deals with goats is totally a waste of money. You are of a right mind
Sorry to hear about the loss of Robin. He gave us all lots of happiness watching him. He will be missed but not forgotten by many.♥️😞
Nothing you can do, it just happens. Our goat was bite by a snake and died , Sorry Chad and to your dad for the loss of Robin.
I'm sorry for your loss. Prayers for comfort and peace for you, your boys, and your parents 🙏
Case looked really happy y'all went to the movies. Love his smile. You did what you could. One day animals appear good, next they're not. It is what it is.
I am so sorry about Robin. You are doing a great job, I know the pain of losing animals it sucks! RIP LITTLE GOAT!
So sorry about Robin. God bless.
Thank you 😊
Tomorrow on my Dad’s channel there’s more information & what we’re doing to help the other three. Appreciate Phyllis and everyone else.

"I grew a turnip. What did you do today?" My new favorite Chad-ism. This was a weird day. Laughing one moment. Crying the next. I am sorry for your loss. Robin was my favorite hooligan. "If he were a steer he would have been 44." I appreciated his sassy personality. You did your best. You contacted the vet and Kevin at HHF... great resources to call upon. Best wishes! Hope your Dad and Case aren't too upset.
I’m so so sorry about Robin!! Anyone who has anything to say, hasn’t ever lived on a farm and doesn’t get how this life works! God Bless you guys!! Much love from Oklahoma! 💖💖💖
I’m not a “farmer”,although I do have a small hobby farm, but I would have handled that situation exactly like you did. You called experts for advice, followed what they said and unfortunately it didn’t work. I wouldn’t have asked any more of you or anyone else. Sorry about Robin but you did everything right in my book.
Take solace. You did the best you could
Do any type of fruit bearing tree produce poison?
I have Chinaberry trees.
Same here. This is how it’s done. Sometimes it sucks but this is real life.
@@darlasloan7481
I’m not sure about any EXCEPT... all CHERRY TREES. Choke cherry, Wild, domestic, etc...
all cherry trees are toxic (except the cherries, lol)
It looked possibly like goat polio to me when he fell down. It wouldn't hurt to keep Vit. B on hand from Tractor Supply. It is an urgent situation and they go downhill fast.
Chad, unfortunately loss just comes with farming. I'm sorry for your loss. Robin could have gotten snake bitten. It sucks but it's farming. You're doing an awesome job don't let anyone tell you any different. I've farmed all of my life and you're very successful! Be Blessed ✌🏼
I grew up around all kinds of farms. Any loss hits you. I think we forget that animals can pass suddenly as do humans. We never fully understand any kind of death.
I am sorry for your loss. I had a dog that did that, he ate his meal, he was normal, he died unexpectedly. I would not have even made it to the vet. Things happen, don't beat yourself up.
With everything being so wet, listeriosis is what I would think. It's also in the ground, not just hay. I lost a pygmy billy goat that got it. He couldn't be saved. It was so sad
Diatomaceous earth added to feed?
Sorry to hear about Robin. I hope you and the boys find peace. Be blessed.
So very sorry for the loss of Robin. Prayers
I am sorry for the loss of Robin. Sometimes you just don’t know what happened. Best of luck with all the critters in your farm.
No judgment here....no need to justify yourself to haters. Carry on! 💕
Agreed. Amen.
@@LoriM222 By putting that word out into the world you give it energy and its influence increases.
Agreed!!
Sorry Chad ...that’s farm life .... and life “ appreciate ya “
If some people don't like your answer tell them in a nice way "My crystal ball is in the shop, so I couldn't see what made Robin sick before it happened ". Sorry not sorry.
I love seeing Wilma run and jump. Just so darn cute. Sorry about Robin 😭😭😭
The important lesson is how you taught your boys that this is just life. What matters is how you care for everything.
Oh no! Poor Robin, how sad ! Poor Batman and poor Grandpa! His good buddy. That’s so rotten. Hope you all stay safe and bless you .
So sorry. You take really good care of your animals from what I see. Things happen that are beyond your control. Don't stress negative comments. You know your really good to your animals and that's all that matters. 👍💗
On a veterinarian show there is a vitamin deficiency that causes this in goats, but I can’t remember exactly what it was.
Oh no. So sorry Chad, that is so sad. Hope Batman don't miss him to much. RIP little one. 🐐
I'm sorry you lost Robin. Most Goats don't pull thru when they become sick, their system is different..
I am so sorry, this breaks my heart. I am crying honestly.
Years ago I lost a wether to urinary calculi. It is common in the neutered males. Same symptoms
aww so sorry about Robin! God Love ya! Prayers! RIP Robin! Hugs!!
When you mentioned early on in the video…you said something seemed “off” on the farm….something was “off”…the animals knew something was happening to Robin. Not that you could have prevented the passing. Animals have that premonition…I have 2 Shih Tzu’s, I kept my brothers special needs dog often (he was on meds for seizures) and I worried about how rough my two always played in the yard, but they ALWAYS surprised me. They still did their runs back and forth, but they were always always careful around Rusty. When he would get too far away from the house and couldn’t find his way back they worked together and gently guided him toward the porch. I was always close by, and I was so proud of my fur babies! Your other animals knew something was happening….that’s why you “felt” that something had happened the night before. You are doing an incredible job with your animals and those two beautiful children. God Bless you, your sons, your awesome parents, your siblings and Adler Farms 1.0. Thank you for sharing with us!
I understand what you're saying. You did what you could.
So sorry for your loss but Chad don’t beat yourself up. Life happens. Just keep an eye on the other babies
Sorry for your loss. You will meet up with Robin again on the other side of the rainbow bridge. Hugs to you and your family.
As soon as I saw how Robin was acting I thought, "Oh no. That's not good." So sorry for the loss of him. You did what you could and called the right people. I would think that if Robin had diarrhea it would have been evident on his "backside". I didn't see any signs of it. Anything could have caused it. If the storm was bad enough, it may have just been the stress from the storm. Seems like that storm and Robin not feeling well affected the whole farm. Take comfort in knowing you gave him a great life.
So sorry about your goat. However, watching you, Kevin, Dutch, and a few others is helping me with starting our farm as well. Love your videos. RIP Robin! Thank you Chad! Prayers for you and your family.
Sorry for your loss! If Little Adler Adler and Case Adler are okay then you are thriving! 🧐 keep farming! The way you noticed a problem before you knew the problem? You are doing what it takes!
That was sweet, Red was looking for Adler
That's why l stick to the gardening side...l get too attached. I'm so very sorry 💔
I follow this couple that homesteads and they make their own dewormer and give to their goats so they do'nt get parasites from eating the grass, weeds, etc. They hand feed it like a treat to make sure they get it.They said it was because of eating all that green stuff parasites are in it, the grass, weeds etc. (I think she said also because it rained so much, and it's alwaysi wet, there so the grass is always growing fast. They're there growing their own coffee beans,& processing them there. drying ,& grinding & shipping, it's their business They're from the USA-(Boston) and live in Panama, she said no body likes to raise goats there because of they get parasites. They build everything out of metal and weld it together, because it rains all the time & rots ALL the wood. Their home they live in, dogs home, and the goats ,home ,now a workshop and helping someone build an A-Frame home on their homestead, it's all steel frames!!!They named their homestead the dogs name, ''Lola's Farm'' (a black labrador) They're coming back for 5 months to Boston to have their 1st baby, due in Oct.2021.I follow them like I follow you and your cute little boys....Bless You, Adler & Case!!!!
They have a You Tube channel. An interesting and dynamic couple to follow.

Poor Robin R.i.p. 😢❤✌
I tend to lean toward him probably overeating on something causing him to bloat. If you don't already do this consider leaving baking soda where the goats can get to it free choice. One thing I know for sure about goats, when they get sick it can take them out fast and without warning sometimes. I'm sorry for your loss, we never like losing one.
Sometimes you can't feed male goats grain, hay is the best for them because they can get crystals or stones in their urine which causes them unable to urinate. They will get blocked and if you don't get them unblocked they will die. Just saying that could be one of the problems. So sorry for your loss I know the baking soda will work if their pee wee isn't blocked.
So sorry Chad. I’m sorry, I don’t comment much but I really feel bad for you. You are a good person and you shouldn’t have to feel like people are going to come at you for something you did. If they don’t like it they can move on. You called the vet. You acted on it. We live and we learn. I follow other farms and sometimes there are no way of knowing. Thank you for sharing. Again, I’m sorry for your loss.
I think your animals I think your animals are too far from your farmhouse
I got bad news…I didn’t ask.
So sorry that Robin is no longer on the farm. I hope Kevin and Rachel help you out. Also Hope you all enjoyed the movie!
Enjoy watching you everyday !! You all live my dream !
Hidden Heights Farms helped me find your channel! That story about their new puppy is pretty heartwarming.♥️🐾
Don't listen to the "coulda, woulda , shouldas "... I'm so sorry about Robin. At the end of this it is YOUR farm and you are doing your very best.
... And I thought we agreed about the "Nancy" thing🤔😏. Blessings, Nancy from Michigan.
I'm sorry for your loss 😔
Have a good evening 🌻🌻🌻
sometimes things just happen - let yourself feel it, then it’s time to move on - it is sad and it hurts - gonna be so so many animals in the years to come - it’s all a part of farm life 💜
You're doing the best you can for your animals brother!!! Anyone with eyes can see you love your animal!
My goat had a twisted stomach. It’s sad to lose any animal. You are doing great Chad. Hugs from Grandma Colorado🇺🇸
Sorry for your loss. Are the goats getting copper? Are you still doing lives on Tuesdays? Haven’t seen any for the last 2 weeks.
Was wondering about the lives aswell
Sorry for your loss. Case might feel it, I doubt Adler will understand yet. Love all your critters & my heart goes out to you all.. God Bless
sorry for your loss.... how is case taking it...and is batman getting another robin...
So sorry for your loss. When I was growing up we had sheep. One day we had one lamb die then a few days later another one died. We never figured out what the cause was. It’s was strange.
Chad you’re doing a good job. Sometimes these things just happen. It’s a farm. It’s farm life. A few things that I would suggest keeping on hand is Banamine it’s an anti inflammatory, a broad spectrum antibiotic, dewormer and electrolytes.
You have good friends that can offer good advice, Kevin is an awesome resource. And of course your vet is always a good resource.
Keep on keeping on. Take care :)
You're a real trooper, God bless you and yours and also the farm Godspeed,👍
Absolutely these things just happen sometimes. Blessings to you all.
RIP Robin! I'll miss your mischievous antics. Despite being a little stinker, you were incredibly smart & entertaining for a little goat. 🐐 Time for the cape to transform.
So sorry you lost Robin. He was a sweet little guy.
Remember opinions are like butt holes, everyone's got one, and most of them stink. If people want to have their nose up your opinion, let them deal with the end result.
Your farm, your choice, your responsibility. When they buy the farm, they can do it their way. Deuces.
Sometimes there simply isn't any other reasonable option. Having to balance the health and well-being of the whole vs the one isn't something our *new world" can accept any more. You did your best and that is all you can expect from yourself. GOD BLESS Duces
You do what you think best. Almost all of your followers understand.
Chad, you're a great person and farmer, and going to be a great gardener one day. It's all about learning day to day and doing what you think is right. Experiences can be painful but are necessary for learning. God bless you and the boys.
Your absolutely right i don't know what I'm doen....I grew a turnip...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don't trip. You did everything you could. Your animals are well cared for. All of them. You're a good guy, good farmsteader, good you tuber, and a Great dad.

Sorry about this loss of 'Robin'
I’m sorry for the loss of Robin. God will fill you with the right words to tell your boys. You are blessed to have friends like Kevin and their wealth of knowledge. As farmers, we know this will happen, and it’ll never be easy-pet or not. We just love them while we have them. RIP Robin
Im so sorry for your loss. RIP Robin.
You could pay a huge vet bill and goat would have died anyway. Then you could have requested necropsy and wouldn't know what killed the goat. Running the farm is hard work, and it's heartbreaking but at the same time rewarding. Don't let naysayers bring you down Chad you do what you think's best
I’m sorry about your goat, I’ve had them. I’ve lost them too. That feeling of your farm being (off) when you know your farm you know it. You can feel it. Maybe your game cameras out again can show you something.
Prayers coming your way God bless be safe love ya'll
Love the way you handle things. Life gets a little difficult at times, we just have to do the best we can and keep moving forward.❤️🙏
Sorry for your loss. Sometimes, we never know why.. what happened to Smokie fur. Looks like her fur was shaved in the middle, like a ring.. sorry if you said anything previously, i missed.. take care
Goats are hard to figure out. My baby sister has three and hoping to get the female pregnant. They love pine trees and the needles have something in them that's good for them. If you want a good treat.✌and sorry for your loss. I think that's why folks get goats to help with the brush and weeds.😉
Chad do u have trail cameras you can put out where the animals are
There are a few cameras but it would take a lot to cover the entire area the goats can cover.
Hello at least you try the best you can with your animals its a lot of work raising animals
I can’t believe viewers would pass judgment😢
No matter how much we take care of or love our animals, Death doesn't discriminate. With the weather like it is, it could have been anything that was stirred up by all the rain on the ground or in the clouds. Could also be the 5G like the birds that are dying. Robin could have been bit by something. Don't blame yourself. You did everything you could.
Rhonda, I based my comment off my Biometric degree not a Zoology degree...5G messes with the vibration, tones and energy that's in us and animals. When something messes with us it can kill us. I've never seen anything like birds dropping from the sky before. And I'll be 47 at the end of September...
@@paulacarroll1974 FYI, there's a well known bird virus (well known if avian communities)that's been circulating in the wild bird populations for the last few years. It's hit especially hard the last few months all over the USA.

So sorry about Robin. Unfortunately that is part of having a farm, not a part that we like but it is the reality of it and we know that going into to it.
