I stopped in to a Ford dealer here and Minneapolis today and he demonstrated this system for me in an Explorer Sport. I have to say it was very impressive and responsive. My only concern with it was that it felt very cluttered and duplicated a lot of the physical push-buttons immediately below the touch screen. I would be worried it would be difficult to find the correct button while driving and possibly cause an accident. The voice commands may minimize the clutter and distraction. With some practice, navigation through the touch screen may get smoother.

I think there were complaints that people preferred those physical buttons for doing common traditional tasks quickly.

desumeme yup, I have a Volt which has all soft touch climate control, and it is definitely a safety hazard. The worst -- sometimes I need to defrost IMMEDIATELY when I get sudden windshield fog-up.. and it is difficult to find the button quickly on the Volt.
