shoshana bean's cover of "she used to be mine" is easily the most expressive & best interpretation i've ever heard.
she also does some amazing singing with a gentleman by the name of avery wilson (a vocalist worth hearing in his own right if you're not already acquainted). they do a wonderful cover of shoshana's original song, "all to me" live, as well as a phenomenal cover of "saving all my love for you", in something called "the dressing room sessions" on shoshana's official channel.
PLEASE keep her in mind; she's ridiculously underrated.
Excellent reaction! Her "She used to be mine" is very much worth the look as are most anything Shoshana does. This performance though was special. This and "Iron sky" from Paulo Nutini live at Abbey Road are two of the best performances on youtube.
Wonderful reaction! Shoshana left it all on the stage, that's for sure. I have heard this performance so many times but it never gets old. I love it so much. She is a force to be reckoned with when she sings. She does a great job on "she used to be mine" from the musical "waitress". Absolutely brilliant.
Her song "all to me" is also phenomenal.

My favorite thing about her is that she always lays it all on the table when she sings. She truly sings with her whole soul and she is a master vocalist.

Love this reaction and love your description of how she poured her soul into that. I just found your channel bc of this, so not sure what kind of music you usually focus on, but you can't go wrong with any Shoshana videos. You could listen to "She Used to Be Mine" from one of her Broadway roles, or her original work ("All to Me" is another iconic one that she often collapse w excellent partners like Avery Wilson), or any of her epic covers of classic 90's r&b, soul, etc. 🥰
Deb, this is another example of a great vocalist, but I have not lost my breath, or felt chills, or shed a tear. Why does AJ do it to me with every performance?
