Rooney coming out of his shell on TV more lately.
And he's a very nice and gentle guy. With the way he was painted in the media for all that time and his playing style on the pitch, I don't think anyone would ever have guessed this. He seems a very nice man. He was really gentle and polite during the BBC1 coverage of one of the games the other night. He's not arrogant at all, and was highly deferential to Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer about their playing abilities versus his own.

Nothing can compare to that magic we felt as England fans when Wayne came in. He was unreal. I remember the two days of excitement before England games when he was playing in those early days. Never felt like that since about any player 🫡⚽️
I've watched the Rooney programme on iPlayer yesterday, and it was really good. It brought back a lot of memories!

Rooney has shown on tv in the last few months he’s really an intelligent guy. His tactical analysis is always spot on.

@dondamon4669 am 43 lad am a Liverpool supporter I've seen a young McManaman young Fowler obviously Owen I've also seen a young R9 when Brazil played a friendly over here but I think Rooney was the best at his age

Pleasant? The guy is a thug and had no respect for England. Can remember him shouting down the camera having ago at the fans. Also only scored 1 world cup goal.
I am adamant had Rooney been fit all tournament it was a wrap. He was that good. In 2006 when he done his metartarsal v chelsea (i think) the country was genuinely in national mourning 😂
