Congratulations on getting Frank on the show. I run the IT support for a medium sized company and I am educating the team daily about possible scams. There is still a major flaw in the US checking system. Anyone with a valid routing number, checking account number, and basic information about a person can siphon off money from a checking account indefinitely without the knowledge of the owner. the banks provide no protection against this. Checking account owners have to watch their accounts for this type of check skimming scam. Keep up the great work.
I loved the interview with Frank Abagnale. A while back I got a phone call. I said, "Hello?" and the voice said "Hi Grandpa?" so I asked some questions and they hung up. A month or so later, I got another, "Hi Grandpa?" This time I was ready, I said, "Is that you Billy?" (I have three grandchildren, NONE are named "Billy"). So the voice says, "Yeah, it's me. I had a terrible accident last night." So I said, "Well, sometimes stuff happens, Billy. Have a good day." And I hung up. That was the end of calls like that. Great show KIM KOMANDO I liked the movie CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, I watched it 15 years ago and with LD craprio and it was pretty technical the way FRANK did it but now with AI, yes Frank could do amazing things maybe with AI could be used to catch other AI scams if somebody thought of it. Kim, the comment I have regarding you doing voice-overs or "selling your voice" is that I would be afraid that by hearing your voice, people would infer that you were endorsing the product based upon your tech expertise. "Hi there, this is Kim Komando for the new iPhone 16." is kind of an extreme example, but you can see what I mean. Even if you didn't say your name, people would recognize your voice and so that would preclude your doing voice-overs for tech products.
