You can't compare Bali from Siargao. Bali’s land mass is even a bit bigger than Cebu, while Siargao is just a small island. I’ve been working in Indonesia for more than a decade, but I still love our Philippines’ beaches.
The comparison is faulty from the first place. For example Indo has Mentawai Islands for surf destination, funny enough we never heard something like Mentawais vs Bali, you can be my guest comparing beaches and quality of waves of Mentawais to Siargao, I dare to say it's hard for cloud9 to get into top ten waves if it's happened to be in Mentawais, and not a single soul in Indo obsessed to compared Mentawai to Bali. Indo is too big to be generalized, once you step your foot somewhere like anambas islands, or Kei islands, you'll scratched your head why the heck they're not in tourism trails considering what quality of beaches those places has to offers.
I've been to both? Bali is nice but Siargao is more peaceful and quiet. They're both nice place to go.
Can’t compare Bali to Siargao..Bali is a century old historical and ancestral monuments for Budhsm..then its been an older tourist destinations for foriegners tourist..so no way of comparison…I love my country the Philippines coz it’s my homeland..
Try ninyo ikotin ang mindanao mas marami pa kayong hindi nakita sa mindanao na wala sa bali.kasi lhat ng nag mirun sa mindanao ay wala din sa bali.comment ko lang yan po ha.maraming tanawin sa pilipinas na wala sa Indonesia 🇮🇩

If I travel, food is one reason but it should be about the place, Bali should be traditional Indonesia flavor and customs. I did not see the temples, the Indonesian food, the Balinese art. Maybe Bali has become commercial. It doesn't reflect the Bali we want to see.

You need a lot of time so u can explore the beauty of Siargao Islands, Phils. Ur 3 day stay in Siargao Island spent mostly on eating 😊

Bali is a world-renowned destination, including world elites and celebrities. Siargao still has a long way to go to reach that level. It's good to love our country's tourist spots but you have to be realistic when it comes to their status so we'd know what else to do to make it better and bring it to level of places like Bali. Loyalty is great but honesty is the key to success.
Very different, you should see how other low key surf destinations in Indo looks like. Try The Mentawai Islands, Banyak Islands or Telo Islands last but not least Sumba Island, you really need to see how surf beaches in Sumba looks like, especially Tarimbang and 2 other bays right next to it or Nihiwatu beach😊😊😊.

Bali is a world-renowned travel destination, esp by Hollywood celebs, and already has an elite status. Siargao is great but has more way to go. Once we see 5-star hotels/resorts crawling in Siargao and celebs choosing Siargao for vacation, then we can say it has arrived. For now, we have to be honest. Siargao is good but needs to do more, like A LOT, to get to the level of Bali.
BUT LET US ALL BE HONEST THAT THE BEACHES AND RIVERS IN SIARGAO ARE WAY BETTER THAN WHAT THEY HAVE IN BALI
Many celebrities all over the world secretly spent their vacation in Siargao. Travellers would always say there's Siargao Magic & Siargao Curse bcoz they wud kip coming bc😊
@@rod_triplxvi739 I'm not talking about which one has better beaches. I'm just pointing out the CURRENT rank status as tourist destinations. Siargao still new compared to Bali. With more marketing, more infrastructures and if they can lure world renowned luxury hotel investors to build resorts/hotels in the island, then we can say Siargao has arrived and may even topple Bali from the top spot. Til then, we have to be honest of the fact Siargao has more ways to go before it can reach elite status of Bali.
@@cynthiatelen7359 If many celebrities all over the world go to Siargao but SECRETLY as you claimed, then they have to fix the problem. Why secretly? Are they embarrassed to say they are in Siargao? They don't do that when they go to Bali. Even celebs/models who do commercials in Bali. Siargao has potential but it doesn't have the elite status of Bali yet that's why it doesn't draw elite crowds and elite hotel investors. Siargao still has some work to do to turn itself into an elite travel destination like Bali. The govt should hire world class consultants who would help the island on their marketing and most specifically on how to bring in elite investors to build WORLD RENOWNED luxury hotels/resorts. If they want to aim higher, they have to take actions that will bring into that level.
I went to Bali and did all that and was somehow disappointed with all the hype about Bali and it did not meet all the expectations that i was hearing about these places ! Boracay and Siargao was definitely better when it comes to the beaches and water activities And food choices!!!!
, Bali is overrated ! Men were rude too specially when we went to Nusa Penida and that Bali swing in Ubud !
And their food is not great either ! Lasang flower ang food nila ! Most Tasted weird …… Among all the Asian countries i visited ,,, Bali is the one place i did not like ! Di-BALI-nalang at dinaba-BALI-kan !!! 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 overrated ! And did not live up to our expectations ! Thailand and Vietnam was way better ! Bali is a thumbs down for us ! 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
