    I am Indonesian, in my opinion foreign tourists should go to Siargao because Siargao is better than Bali, and a comfortable place, Filipino people are very kind and friendly,Actually, Indonesia and the Philippines support each other in everything, why is that because Indonesia and the Philippines have similarities and are compatible in everything,For example: in Indonesia there are many Filipinos who are famous artists in Indonesia such as "Leo consul" Cristian Bautista'gwen Zamora and maribeth pascua Legendary singer.

      Mentawais humble surf beaches. Don't even dare to dream siargao is comparable to those of mentawais.
      Then there still banyak islands, telo islands, asu islands and Nias, or Morotai, Halmahera, and Biak island in pacific front and many others in Indo. As a surf destination Siargao is (over)hyped through the roof by the clickbaiters praising it for likes and views from the (over)prouds, but that's okay, no problem. What making it worse and nasty is with that mediocre beaches and waves you dare to vilifying Bali where the de facto most consistent waves of southeast asia and one of them is the biggest wave in the entire southeast (Bombie Uluwatu) and you could reach so many humble uncrowded surf destinations in Indo from there. Now less talk more surf beaches footages please, shall we?

    As a Filipino and have visited both Siargao and Bali, the differences would show that Bali is more developed than Siargao as it has maybe a 50 year jump start in its development, probably from the time of WW2. Siargao was still an undiscovered island then, was unheard of and very underdeveloped maybe about 20-25 years ago. (I've been to Siargao somewhat 20 years ago and it was real rough at that time, only one cellphone tower working, many roads were not yet paved.) Bali at present definitely has more modern infrastructures than Siargao but the vibes of each are different. Bali is more of upscale while Siargao caters to the backpacker types and adventurers. (Although there are several 5-star resorts in Siargao for those with more money to spend.) Siargao is a smaller island so it cannot match Bali in nature sites to offer. You have to travel to neighboring islands to see better nature sites that are even better than Bali, but that's another story. As for the price and cost of living, Siargao used to be cheap, but it's the tourists that drove up the prices in Siargao as the demand became higher than supply. The nature sites in Siargao are more natural than Bali and tourists prefer it that way, still underdeveloped, but very accessible. Tourist that goes to Siargao do not want it overdeveloped like Bali that why many chose Siargao as they want the natural beauty and roughness of Siargao for the moment. The party vibes and food in Siargao, aside from touring, island hopping, actively engaging in sports activities and surfing, are also attractions that tourists like, especially the night life beach parties. Siargao has a singular social community interaction thing, and everyone can just socialize in a nomadic way and do as they please as long as it's not against the law. Because Siargao is a small island, everyone can just rent a motorbike, travel and experience all the island has to offer and it's not unusual to find tourists in the most unusual places also enjoying Sarago's modest natural sites as almost everywhere in Siargao is generally safe for everyone. (I was once informed by the locals that they zealously would guard Siargao against would-be terrorists and other unwanted invaders to protect their livelihood, environment and their tourism.) If you watch other vloggers' videos of those who are based in Siargao, you will see that they featured more and more site developments in Siargao catering to the likes of tourists. Siargao is like a rough diamond but will likely catch up to Bali, albeit be even more expensive, alas..

    Bali and Siargao are very different from each other, Siargao is more natural than Bali, it is like comparing an infant to a father, Siargao is Younger and Bali is old, Bali was Bali when the island of Siargao was unheard of when it was just a lonely island in the Philippines, that is why amenity wise you can say Bali is better, but you see foreigners and alike, many of them choose Siargao over Bali because of it's roughness beauty of nature, and some foreigners prefer it that way as they say it's more satisfying to stay feeling the sensation of being free nature tripping in this remote island. 🤓🤓🤓

    Comparing Siargao to Bali is not an equitable proposition, as Bali has long been acknowledged and become a favored destination among diverse individuals seeking the island atmosphere in Southeast Asia. However, Bali's popularity has resulted in both the afflictions of over tourism and the accumulation of waste, consequences of excessive exposure. As a Filipino, I am averse to witnessing Siargao transform into a replica of Bali, overwhelmed by an influx of tourists, secularism, overcrowding, ceaseless revelry, and the inevitable emergence of opportunistic behavior encompassing both the local populace and visitors. I earnestly desire for Siargao to retain its intact, untarnished allure as an unsullied and pristine frontier in the Philippine archipelago.

    *Bali is the more developed version of Siargao but both are equally beautiful. It now depends on how a person prefers an ambience, if more tropical islandy go for Siargao but if one prefers more tropical foresty go for Bali. Siargao have higher cost of living than Bali because most of their daily products for daily necessities comes from the mainland and some are imported. Majority of space for rents are also owned by foreigners mostly Europeans thus the higher rents.*

See Palawan Island which is chosen by tourist asso. as the best and safe, now almost a decade bagged the title as the best Island resort., from problems of earthquakes, storms or floods. Not only that, Bali also boast the most consistent surf condition in the entire southeast asia that hit 99℅ in uluwatu or ultra consistent. To say siargao is the next Bali in term as surf destination is a scam. Mentawais is waaaay way way better less crowded option for surf destination other than Bali. Both in Indonesia. Siargao is not on the same level with those 2 as surf destination. Just facts, overhypes don't give you ocean swells.

    Many international artices and travellers observations says that Bali is very saturated due to mass tourisms and become cheaper because of lots of people and tourists. The quality of toirism in Boracay though a little high in price is much better. We need to understand that in the previous presidency sometime in 2019 due to pollutions and over tourism Boracay was closed for more than 6 months for a massive clean up and putting things in order that is why when it opened it is now being called new Boracay this did not happened to more popular tourist destinations in any ASIAN country. With that move of the governmrnt there was a similar move to other tourist beach destinations in the Philippines like Siargao and others that is why tourists nowaday enjoyed a much cleaner places and especially beach destinstions.

    • @simplyyank1119
      @simplyyank1119 Месяц назад

      Bali is distinctive, that's why it's popular and at the same time also makes it crowded. Let's be honest, if it's only about beaches and beaches alone, you can get that everywhere. That's exactly the reason why Boracay couldn't raise it game to the same scale like Bali and Phuket. Here's the clue, there's an island in Indo, named Kei Kecil with Ngurbloat beach and Pantai Madwaer with sands as fine as fluor that could blow any beaches that boracay could offers plus there's no slum and ugly town to sore your eyes.

      That's just basic economy. They are trending to tourists now, so more paying customers.
      Personally, Catanduanes and Samar are better options than Siargao - These two islands have more of everything at a way cheaper price (surfing, hiking, diving, beach, caves) minus the night party and hip cafe/restos, but they makeup with more cultural experiences for having bigger local festivals (if you visit in the right time), more towns with richer history - which to me are more authentic experiences.

    • @simplyyank1119
      @simplyyank1119 5 месяцев назад

      Don't take her opinion as fact, clearly she knows nothing about Balinese culture. Bali is one of the most structured ethnicities in Indo, they have very advanced community based ceremonies. Even temples and all of ceremonies involved around any particular temple is structured and involves all part of the community (remember, Bali is one of the last few in the world where traditional dances, traditional musical instruments still played on daily basis and being taught to childrens) From family temple, to banjar, to their mother temples all have their own scheduled ceremonies involving the communities. Calling Siargao is more community based than Bali is a massive overshoot. Maybe she has her own term of community based things, (gathering and chit-chat in cafes is the only community occasion according to her term, perhaps).
