Amy, knocked it out of the park again!! Your attention to detail takes your cards to a whole other level. The shading with ink & alcohol markers, the texture of the card front, the blended night sky with star splatter…and i know you said you weren’t happy with the white doors, but I don’t hate what they turned into😊 You’re so right-red is ALWAYS problematic

I love this card so mush…. Seriously though, I like mushrooms because they are like florals and can be used for almost every occasion. What’s even better is that they are fantastic for masculine cards. Now I just need Simon to make mini dragonfly dies similar to those butterflies. I’ve always considered dragonflies to be “boy butterflies”.

Funny you mention inspiration. I was in the Mountains this weekend and I noticed all I was thinking about was COLOR for cards. I noticed all the shades of green and the MICA in the rocks and the reds and browns. I've been converted to a true card maker!

So gorgeous. The composition is beautiful. I wonder if Dr. Ph. Martin's bleed proof white would hold the color with red. Its supposed to work with markers and other mediums.🤔not to add to your white splattter collection, but it might be worth a try. I'll try it next opportunity i have. 😉💕
I will have to check and see if I already own it - I have MANY different white mediums and I know about that one and there's a good chance it's around here somewhere lol

Too bad red is so necessary, right? Lol I hear you, Amy! I've tried EVERYTHING, including the distress micro glaze. Days or weeks later, still bleeds... Hopefully someone WILL come up with something as it's such an issue for me too! I've tried fixative, glazes, glues, everything... The closest I've come is using lacquer spray, but nope.
red can pretty much defeat anything - it just is and it's why I say red is a beast to deal with lol

I saw that Taylored Expressions has an olo marker end thing, sort of like an old cigarette holder…I keep meaning to get a glue press…
yes OLO has blank handles - I don't want to put out the $ for a set of those (because there's no way I'm going to bother with only having a few and needing to connect them constantly) when I'd rather just invest in a set of fine tips. If OLO doesn't release fine tips like I've been hearing then I'll just cave and either get the chisel tips or a second set of brush tips as that just makes more sense for me personally :)
Question about the Olo markers. You've mentioned not connecting them a few times, but I'm confused about why you can't connect them now then change up the pairings later. Is it a permanent connection?
It’s not a permanent connection, you can easily connect/disconnect them as often as you want - takes at most a few seconds per marker.
I've talked about it in many videos - I personally don't like having 2 diff colors attached onto one marker. The connections aren't permanent and while it doesn't take long I'm also not going to bother just connecting ones as I use them. I'm fine with using them like this for now :)
