- We took a trip to Icacos point which is located on the most south western part Trinidad. It is the closest point to Venezuela from Trinidad and the body of water between the south western side of Trinidad to Venezuela is called the serpents mouth. It took us about two hours from Grand bazaar to get there. From Icacos, we got a view of Venezuela from Trinidad.

I'm Trini from south living in the U.S. and I remember as a boy going to Cedros and Icacos and seeing Venezuela. It was one of the highlights of the trip. Well done my dear.

Splendid view. Never image so close. In Jamaica there is point in the mountain on the island where Cuba can be observed 90 miles away. However, the distance between yours and Trinidad is very closer in miles span. Greetings to you in this 2020 closed downs.

That is not d last end of icacos. When u reach d beach take a right and go straight down until u meet the road that eroded by d beach and u will see venezuela more closer
CyberDoc Computer Store We actually made the right and started driving down but felt like we were driving away from the beach. So we turned around and accessed the beach though a side street. That was our first trip up there. Next time we'll make sure to go all the was down then.

@@CammyMaria , they wont attack you unless they think you are dead. cobos are vultures and vultures only eat dead and rotting animals, so if you keep moving you have nothing to worry about.

there is a better view of Venezuela from macqueripe on the north west coast. Not only do you see Venezuela but you see part of Venezuelan mountain range.

Im not aware of any. Check Tripadvisor.com they may have guest houses/vacation homes available there or close by.

The vultures are called "Cobo" in T&T but the word is spelled "Corbeau" and the plural should be " Corbeaux".In French "beau" and Beaux" means beautiful.

As much as I'd love to interview people, alot of them run/hide from the camera. But once this Pandemic is all over Im back to my usual travel & food vlogs.
@@CammyMaria I agree that some people are reluctant to be on camera, especially when they are not properly attired and prepared.No one wants to make "bloopers" to be embarrassed. However, many people would grab the opportunity to express themselves when properly prepared. So, my advice is to tell the people what you intend to do for example that you want to show the world what beautiful opportunities exist in that part of the country. There are fauna, flora, rivers, beaches, cuisine, lifestyle, folklore, sports, culture, and other activities that the villagers participate in ,in that place! The older folks would appreciate that their history is being recorded and shared, whereas the younger persons would talk about the freedoms and tranquillity of the place but also about the lack of opportunities like employment, education, and facilities. But your videos should really speak about the beauty and lifestyle of the people and of the place and how wonderful it would be to spend some time there! Once you start that, many people would want to do something for their community! The input of villagers adds something special to videos like yours. Try it! Best wishes!
