Given the high numbers of recorded cases in Venezuala, one can easily surmise that migrants may be one of the factors contributing to the soread in Trinidad. It must be noted that the numbers are much lower in Tobago, or even our northern neighbours, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Barbados and the infection rate is very low.

Venezuela is 82 times biger than Trinidad, the east coast is very far from the west coast, what I try to say is Trinidad is closer to the east coast of Venezuela, two ours travell by boat, any way only 20 tousands are travelling o living in trinidad because where they live buying groseries is very expensive. do not take me grong, food prices are taking most of our salaries because of the USA economics blockade. they are doing everything possible to isolate us from the economic world.
It is simple to control the borders, the coast guard need to do their jobs or get more coast guard to ensure the Venezuelans dont come to our country..
